Fish Store in a Warzone: A Coral Lover's Paradise!

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Saltwater fish store tour in Odessa, Ukraine. I have never seen a reef aquarium store with this many corals! Aleksandr's fish store in Odessa Ukraine is amazing!
I spotted quite a few of my holy grail corals in his reef tanks. Expensive corals such as bounce mushrooms, torches, and other high end corals were growing nicely! So many cool coral frags! Aleksandr also has quite a few beautiful reef tank setup ideas on display in his store, there is so much to see!

I think it's incredible that Aleksandr is managing to keep his store and animals alive during these times of war. I also think it's incredible that you Danny went to visit this store all the way in Odessa. I would love to hear the ins and outs of his store and his tanks. The consumption of KH, Calcium and such must be over the roof high:) And how does he manage to survive economically in these times when so many aquarists have stopped altogether / fled the country or fighting at the fronts? Don't mind to watch an hour long video at all!

It was difficult at first, when there was a complete misunderstanding of the future. Many left the country or stopped working. Over time, people adapted to the new reality and life began to recover a little. in Odessa the situation was not the most difficult, there are regions where it is very dangerous and many aquariums died. Unfortunately, the danger still remains in all regions. Ukrainians are learning to live and fight with this. We have no choice. Fortunately, we have the support of our allies, without it we would not have survived. Together we will definitely win. Our aquariums are based on calcium reactors. There are no problems with chemicals and other consumables now, we can get them from all over the world. The biggest problem is the threat of missile attacks on the energy system

Been sub to this channel for years and now I’m happy to see you in Ukraine 🇺🇦 thanks for visiting us) I used to keep a fresh water tank in my workplace. Unfortunately when the war started my wife and I had to leave our city immediately. We abandoned the tank, all plants, fishes and shrimps died for sure 😢 still feeling sad about this

I live in Vinnitsia Ukraine, which is about a 6 hour train ride north of Odessa. I can tell you that the power outages here were no joke. We would have power, most days, for about 8 hours per day. I have a single, small, fresh water aquarium, and I learned that fresh water fish are equally as tough as Ukrainians are. We hope that our air defences can protect the electrical grid better this year, than they could last year, because we are expecting the russians to attack it again. I do hope my poor fish don't have to go through what they went through last year.
