Garmin clarity is awesome. Especially on side/down scan. I have lowrance with lss2 and its just jumbled with cloudy distortion. Switching to garmin this year.

Thank you! My settings were: Brightness 100 Contrast 62 1120 kHz Scroll speed auto Color pallet amber Tvg low Interference off 60 or 70 ‘ range

Can you give your opinion on the difference in performance of the Garmin UHD vs Ultra especially SI?

They are both echomap units but the ultra has more than 3x the screen resolution. So to the eye the side imaging is MUCH clearer as well as all the other screen. Hands down one of the best purchases I have made was going to a ultra for my side imaging unit.

I had side scan set at 1120 khz n my screen would just look 1 yellow line in the center with rest all getting black no matter what range I put it on.. set the transducer to factory reset which one as 4 hundred plus and it worked fine. That's not normal is it? It's 94sv uhd with gt54

It all depends. How deep of water ?

Perhaps a silly question, but if you have Fish Symbols turned on, will the fish show up as Fish Symbols in SideScan?

No I don’t believe it will.

What model is the head unit? Those look like very clear images.

This is a echomap ultra 126 sv with gt54. I now run the gt56 and it’s even better
