Hi Jane, now you tell me when I'm going home tomorrow. Yes I can tell the difference and find it hard to get small portions of haddock. Might try it next time. Yorkshire Fisheries said they can if you're with someone ordering the same so I had it without chips, it was very nice 👍

I love gish and chips so much but being on a mandated fat free diet I am not sure when I shall have this treat again. With the price of fish at wholesale those prices seem reasonable. It must be so hard for retailers to keep prices at an affordable level. I cannot imagine how a fishing boat finds the best places to cast nets, even with modern technology. An old skill and vital to so many.

Afternoon Jane, had my best fish & chips ever from that chippy a couple of years ago when it was the middle chippy. Only got back from our son's in bispham this morning forgot about that place, used bispham kitchen for fish & chips one night and it was nice. Will try Bellamys next time. Thanks.

Yes cod doesn’t have as much taste as haddock, pollock.

I thought it was about average. If anything the peas were a bit huge/expensive.

Whiting is suppose to close to for my step mum use to buy whiting because it was cheaper , but some people try and palm Foley off as for and it's horrible.

oh, i got a quick question, does the outside of that fish crispy or moist, because, here in America, Americans tend to moist(soft watery type....yuck.), the outside, not crispy(sucks),...that's why I don't eat fish and chips(fries), here in America, I love the traditional British food, not the American ones, only at the Irish pubs and restaurants here in America, near me home they cook the fish just like home in England,........marius(punk rules).

I used to wonder who drinks Dandelion & Burdock these days, now I know. It's an acquired taste. The fish and chips looked very tasty. I normally get my fish and chips from Bentley's when I'm down in Blackpool. You did a review on them a while back and gave them top marks. Fully deserved.

@@visitfyldecoast Absolutely, I totally agree. Nothing worse than trying to find somewhere to eat in an area that you don't know that well. It's always good to have a list of places that come highly recommended from the VfC team. 👍

Jane I have eaten fish and chips from there before several times always good and excellent service as for cleveleys kitchen can take a jump their mess about with the order exetremely slow in service p s I still think Kay’s in cleveleys is the best in Blackpool area

Cod is softer. Haddock has a texture to it

From what I've seen they're all similar. Terry's ice cream on the prom at Cleveleys is very reasonable.
