I'm also from Texas and looking to get into UHCO! Your videos have definitely helped me look forward to attending the school since I'm from a smaller town. I would love to see a video about how you adapted to living in such a big city like Houston and how you were able to find a room to yourself without having to share with someone else. Since Houston is so big I'm getting anxious if I can handle it over there.

Hi! Ive lived in a big city my entire life so I didn’t have to make much of an adjustment. But once you are accepted, the admission office will help you find apartments! You’ll make so many friends at UHCO trust me :) they’ll help ease you into the city.

I'm doing optom right now- I didn't take physics at all in high school and did an intermediate level of maths (that I struggled with tbh!) and ended up getting a distinction in optics! It was hard work getting my head around the physics but as long as you have foundational maths abilities and are willing to put in the practice you should be ok 😊

which science field is mostly focus on in optometry is it biology or chemistry or physcis majority of the program

Take AP classes in biology, calculus, and physics if possible - it will make the college classes WAY easier!

It does for the first year. In Texas, after you go to school for a year you can apply to be a Texas resident which will lower your tuition to in-state

Yurelli Bazan there is undergraduate program for 3 or 4 years called bachelors in optometry where you need science background in high school and yeah subject that you will be learning changes every semester like for eg first semester general human body related,second semester more in eye anatomy n physiology optics n goes on

surgery on eyes is an ophthalmologist I believe (in England at least)

Yeah, in the U.S. only ophthalmologists (which are licensed M.D.s or D.O.s) perform surgery like cataracts or LASIK
