Hey dave, love the vids, i know you are eager to make progress but dont rush your builds, you dont want to fill the plot with mistakes and half efforts, take your time and do it right.

Danbenford Sound advice!
The shot with just the sounds of the fire popping while you were filming it got me thinking... Would you consider doing a video where we just hear the sounds you get to experience every day (the fire, the birds, the rustling of the grass/leaves, etc.), maybe with some pretty shots to go with them and very minimal talking/music? It's not for everyone and would probably be time consuming but personally, I'd enjoy something like that quite a bit just as a little extra treat.
This place is crazy, in the most positive way. I would love to stay there for a day, it would be quite of an adventure. Like a fairy tale. Also I like the new toilet window. It's messy but who cares? It's got character. And it fits into the woods. Watching the stars while sitting there... :D But my most loved part is 'I don't have anything to say, I just wanted you to see the fire'. Those silent moment with friends are so precious.
'This guy is lary!' 😂😂
Dave, you make me smile, " You built this, you must of had some help?". You may of heard of the family business, Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd (Construction/Civil Engineering). His great grandfather, Sir Robert McAlpine, built the old Wembly Stadium (1923 - 2000) and Sir William now has the origial flag poles from the stadiums' twin towers. I wonder if the flag poles are in there with all the other salvage?

And a sibling to Lord Alistair McAlpine, ex-aide of Margaret Thatcher, who, before he passed away, was subject to some controversial scandalous allegations several years ago, for which he subsequently received substantial damages for when they were found to be false. Caused quite a stir in the news and on social media at the time.

Ahh the McAlpines, huge construction firm back in the day. As an Irish man, alot of my elders went abroad to work, even songs written about it. "McAlpine Fussilers - Dubliners".

To answer your question Martin - yes, the Wembley flag poles (at least one of them) are there - visit the Salvo Fair and you might see them/it - tksalvo
I've only recently subscribed to your channel and literally have binge watched your past 2 months worth of content. It takes a special kind of KZreadr to have the kind of impact on me. Keep doing what you're doing, you're a total inspiration :)
Put your seatbelt on lad
maybe getting a train car out there would be cool. make it into something like a bunk house.
I have been binge-watching all of your videos and they have brought me so much joy. I love seeing your projects come to life. I love the sweet moments of birdsong and the fire too. You are living and version of Heaven, My Dear!
My favorite part of Thursdays :P
AMAZING Place, thanks for taking us along Dave...
"That is the biggest spade I've ever seen.." 😂
15:40 seat belt David!
Glass is higher embodied energy than steel, but not 50 times. I have just checked and I was way off there. But the number of windows thrown away in the UK is of the order of 5m from the window replacement industry, and another roughly 5m from demolition. I'll be at Salvo Fair 23 - 25 June 2017 - Thornton Kay (one of the old men in the video)
Dave everything you do looks great. I love the cubby idea, 100%! I love the homemade looks better than anything. It makes it seem more genuine. Keep up the good work and creativity ☺️
Great video Dave. The standoff with Alfie was hilarious...😂
Love love love your videos - so calming, relaxing, and inspiring. Especially loved the music and editing in this vid! Thanks Dave!
I've been loving the content recently, Dave. Something to look forward to on Thursdays, keep it up!
should probably make a fence like the primitive technology one for your vegetables!

Hey Dave. In many ways your windows are perfect. Thank you for what you are doing.
Every time it starts to end I wish there was more. Love vicariously experiencing this through you, one day...
What a fascinating man, and his lifes' work of collecting. I sure hope there's someone to curate his estate for the long run. It felt like I was along with you Dave, and that was very nice. =Maine=

Awe he's grt love him and his trains 🚂 and his hotel in London is the best all my friends stay there always they swear by it xxx
just found your channel and subscribed. I'm in the process of trying to get finances for a tiny home in the woods in the UK and it's so difficult finding other UK people to watch for inspiration they all tend to be in New Zealand..Unless I'm looking in the wrong places. but SO glad I found your channel and your hilarious too !! xx
This vlog was great never seen anything like it
Your vids are my fav
Love ❤️ the videos 😉
I love your videos
I'm really sorry for making a negative comment Dave, BUT, you need a little help with your woodworking skills. I love your vlogs, and I love what you are trying to do in the woods. I'd like to help you with what you are trying to do achieve. I'm a disabled building surveyor so I can't work, but I can do little jobs with regular breaks. I can also advise you on how to do certain jobs. You seem to be a brilliant learner, with a fabulous attitude, so if I can help gimme a bell. Jon.
Ratcheting stuff to trees might be fun, but don't leave them permanently fixed or you can ringbark the trees. Remember they are always growing and more so in the coming warmer months.
Sutch an excentric bloke, totally inspirational
Far from Perfect is a form of Perfection to me. Just like mistakes are Amazing...
Alfie will be over the moon with lama named Alfie ....don't tell him that the lama has a better hair do than him. great videos
Quite like your pallet window :)
Hope you enjoy!
Build a greenhouse out of old windows
ps: did you buy the land in the woods ? can you give a rough idea of how much it was..... thanks xx
I saw that estate featured on Salvage Hunters a few months ago. would love to visit myself one day. btw are you looking forward to the BigChurchDayOut? only a couple of weeks away and you couldn't live any nearer!
maybe you could look it up on you tube ,or do you have that in the u.k.?
How does Dave film and edit his videos!?
Alfie is so cute, But Id be afraid of him too LOL
are you doing any composting on site??
I wonder if the man with the trains has ever met the genius music / train restorer Pete Waterman?
Another ace video. Pity they finish too quickly. 😢
I called into stans bike shack only to realise it was the one you went too wish I'd bumped into you
what these animals are called ?
I WANTED THAT POLAROID! D:
how do you get permission to do this does it need any? living in the woods that is
Hi Dave, honestly I dont like the way you build the windowframe into the toilet hut door. It started very well, but then... (SORRY!!!) it lookes as if you have smashed half-hartedly a few nails into a few slats, just to have it done. I KNOW it was'nt like that! But I think you can do better. More time, more measurement, a coffee in between... The finish with bark ist very cool and the idea of a window to the stars is wonderful. One of the tiny places you've visited has it and I hoped you would adapt that idea. While sitting on a sofa in a warm home, criticism is easily expressed. But it is constructive criticism and I think you want to know our opinions. I admire your work in the woods! Believing the forecast you will have a fantastic week out there. Big hug from Berlin :))

Ringelsocke saying something as constructive sometimes comes across as well being an arsehole so you don't like the way he did the window big deal it ain't a stained glass in the cistine chapel he learning as he goes and sometime winging it they way too go Dave do your own thing and learn at your own pace!
put a low chicken wire structure over the lettuce :)
Interesting.
lol that window... good effort though. why not use eco friendly hand tools though instead of power
What is the mailing address??
Great video but you look real tired you need to slow down and smell the woods, stay safe
Please raise your headrests in your car. As they sit now, it is very dangerous. I watch your upcoming videos, of course, to check if you have done it ;-) Best
It's all sort of like minecraft in real life
Not second :)
the window with the corners is hideous.
Please do be careful when ratcheting things to trees Dave. They are living organisms after all and do need protecting when ratcheting things around them. Just as it would cut off our blood supply, it affects the travel of precious nutrients through the tree. A towel or similar will work, a quick google will tell you everything. All the best

Hey Dave, Loving your vids - really inspiring to try and get better at filming! Would really appreciate if you could check out my latest video from Baja, Mexico and give me some feedback and advice on it! Cheers and all the best for you!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful fire Dave. Just looking at the flames is mesmeric. Complete Zen my friend. Also big hand to Sir William McAlpine. Top man.
