I agree with that. I have always talked to my birds and held them when I first got them. They get trained quicker that way. I have only owned one at a time. I’m getting a new one in June. My Snoopy died in March. She was blue. She was 7 years old and was my 7th bird. She would always chirp loudly anytime I went near her cage and when I got home from work. Listening to parakeet videos helps with the silence.

@@soap9781 when birds are newborn you can’t quite tell the gender of them. You have to wait a bit until it’s cere gets a colour of either pinkish brown or light blue!

It’s normal for birds to be inside the bowl and eat sometimes of food they can’t reach it

Your new budgie is adorable! PS: at 3:41 Kevin pats your new budgie on the back. A bird's back is a s*xual/vulnerable area, budgies usually only interact with or climb on top of each others backs if it is to breed, so I would advice against petting your new family member on the back unless you want him/her to think your motives are somewhat more significant than you really intend. You'll notice at NO point in time do grown budgies groom each others backsides, they only ever groom each other's heads, that's usually more than welcome since they cannot reach their own heads with their beaks by themselves. I love your videos and look forward to more!

That is true. But also the budgie is just a wittle baby so doesn’t have any interest in breeding. I think it’s probably ok to pet a baby bird like that but not an adult.

I know that when they get older their eyes will get smaller like human eyes, but it looks PERMANENT and like she/he was actually BORN to have baby eyes! So maybe call it Baby, or Pugs ( or Pugsley)! if her/his eyes are like actually big then...yeah that'll be real cute!

hi! i love your guys’ videos so much! because of your awesome tips i was able to save money and make my budgie more comfortable! i decided to try interacting with my budgie right away like what you guys do and he was on my finger and sleeping next to me the first day! we carved ridges in the wooden dowels and saved a lot of money as everything adds up pretty quickly. i just wanted to say thank you so much for giving awesome tips and making entertaining yet informative videos! 😊

@Destiny I know my point was that when she said it was a budgie thing I was simply telling her that its actually a parrot thing in general it suppose to be a little fun fact or whatever

I had a parakeet that was acrobatic and I named him Pepper. My blue female was named Marina

My female budgie does the same thing too, she will go down bottom of the cage and move left right left right.

Ur budgies run around door My budgie opens door and slams it down and squats loudly opens the door himself he is weird in a funny way

My budgie is an escape artist, she has learned how to open doors to her cage so if I don’t have the latch on it she will go in and out as she pleases, if I lock it for the night she will start too run around and bang on the cage and toys until she is let out 🤣🥺

Since it is blue name it sapphire or Kai or blueberry you could also name it malakai and Rio and also Cleo these are really good names wait I got one more name and it is blanket because your first budgie is called pillow so you could probably name the new bird blanket and it suits him very well 😁 BTW: Can't wait to see him meet pillow 😀
