Did our 1st trip last year and already have been back this year. Paddles make a huge difference! I went with the SS360s and they railed! If you didn't make it to Devil's Dune, it's a must next time, and try hitting some razorbacks. It's scetchy AF but addictive!

Did you run 12" wide front and back on your SS360's? What wheel offset as well? I think that's the route I'm gonna go. Don't think we made it to Devils Dune, we didn't go much further than Choke. I believe the bowl in the video is the middle bowl? Could be wrong. Will definitely be hitting some crazier stuff next time, just getting our feet wet the first trip. Thanks for watching/commenting!

@@McCurdyOutdoors I ran the 32x12-15s on System 3 SB4 beadlocks, 15x10 with the 5+5 offset on all 4. I plan to run them next winter to see how they do in the snow. They are supposed to be pretty good. I ran 35x10 Satv Warriors this last winter and they did great but they are a heavy tire. The System 3 tire and wheel weigh less than just the Warrior tire without a wheel, which made them awesome in the sand. I ran the standard tread on the front and the HPs on the rear.

@@chriscordell3676 Same reason for me, would like to test them in the snow too. How much HP is your machine pushing? Not sure mine is high enough to run the HP's - only on a level 3 AA tune, stock turbo.

@@McCurdyOutdoors I have just a stage 2 AA tune and it did fine. I have stage 3 also but waiting on an Evo captains choice full exhaust to install it.

I went to St Anthony dunes once with my pro xp4 and it was a absolute blast! Our side by sides are made for the dunes!!

The gopro doesn't give these dunes justice, they're huge. Whenever you head back to Idaho we're hitting this place!

New to your channel, wanted to thank you for your efforts in making your videos. It's been very good for me to watch. 1st I used to live in Idaho and miss it. Although dad lives in Fairfield, I don't get up there enough. I have some really Great memories exploring the backcountry. 2nd im at home due to breaking my collar bone in 3 places from a little MTB incident, not to worry the bike is fine. 😉🙃 Anyway keep filming, and again thank you. Did you guys camp at the Far East end? Egan Lake campground is in the middle and is the best jumping off point to hit the big dunes at the west end.

Try going down to 4-5 psi for your air pressure!

I am heading there for the first time this July . Should I stick with paddles only or is it worth bringing dirt tires. I noticed you guys had dirt tires. Any other trails besides dunes are worth it? I heard you could take utv up to or close to Yellowstone?

We ran dirt tires because neither of us had paddles yet. I'd run paddles, no reason not to. Bring dirt tires only if you plan on riding any of the Island Park/West Yellowstone area. This was our first trip at the dunes so I can't really recommend any trails, but Choke Cherry and the bowls behind it were amazing! Thanks for watching!

Any recommendations for a 1st timer? My wife and I are going on the 20th. I already have a whip. What did you air your tires down to? I read that it's not advised to ride by yourself, any truth to that? We can't ever find anyone to go with us..... We're in Mountain Home. Great video as usual. Thanks.

@@PredatorControl Was my first time riding dunes so I'm no expert. That being said I wouldn't recommend riding alone, can get yourself in trouble so easily. Make friends at whichever campground you're staying at or post on the St Anthony FB group would be my suggestion. What tires are you running? Beadlock wheels? My carnivores were at 12psi and I went down to 7-8psi and it was a drastic improvement. Just go down to whatever you're comfortable with. Glad you liked it and thanks for watching!

@@McCurdyOutdoors I don't have beadlocks, just the stock rims. I run ITP Coyote's. If we enjoy it I may end up with paddles for the dunes.

No idea how coyotes will do, can't be any worse than the carnivores/rampages we ran. No belt destruction, even on choke. We stopped pretty frequently though.

One place i should have gone before I sold my machine.

@@McCurdyOutdoors yeah, for some reason it was top heavy. I’m surprised I never put it on its side. Almost did a couple times, bogus 2019 run and another time. I think there was something wrong. The guy that bought it put it on its side on the test drive.
