Dolgam campsite in Capel Curig is brilliant!

The smoke is because you didn't the glow plugs warm up properly, let that orange light go out first

With regards to Snowden, I've stayed at Dolgam Campsite twice now, it's, a few miles west of Betws-y-Coed. Electric hook up etc. Simple toilet/shower block. No frills but cheap & scenic. Owned by the farm house over the road 👍 Me dmy brother & law stayed there to do some mountain biking.

Let the orange light on the right on the clock cluster go off before turning the key fully, that light is so the glow plugs can warn up, once it turns off then turn the key to fire up the engine on, and it will start a lot better

Where you off to in the Cotswolds? Bourton on the water is a lovely village but gets stupidly busy with tourists

So far we’ve booked Berrends Farm which is actually closer to Malvern Hills but a short-ish drive to the Cotswolds area. We’re there for a few nights and then thinking of extending the stay to a site deeper within the Cotswolds! Will check out your suggestion!

If the engine is warm that orange light may not turn on, don't worry it's normal, most of the time it will turn on before starting, thought I'd share that with you. ... I know the t4s quite well as I have one myself
