You got this .freaking trucks anyway it’s a lifestyle that most don’t understand you help people see that so kudos to you my friend for showing the struggles we face running old iron. I’m running a 95 379 and have a 91 379 as a spare I wouldn’t sell either one of them. Just remember all those thumbs up you will get it will make it all worth it. Hang in there from one grain hauler to another in Colorado.

I like the 379 you get it there. Can’t wait to see what happens down the road for ya w it. Keep posting videos I enjoy and the best part is you’re to the point about the idiots lol there’s plenty of them out there for sure. Take it easy and be safe.

Hey Brother, back in the day I found myself in a similar situation, met this old retired driver at a truck stop and he told me what I needed was to get a monkey to ride with me, said that it would be would be good company and take my mind off of my troubles. Never did get that monkey, but thinking about it 30 years later it always took my mind off my troubles. Keep the shiny side up. You'll be fine.

Im biased...sell the 359.😂 Nah seriously i feel for ya man. If only you could wake up and have the truck it was in the thumbnail be there tomorrow morning. Id hate to see it go but i know the plan wasnt to totally overhaul two trucks. Maybe gods plan is to try to make the 59 a lil better on fuel and send the green truck to someone who has the time to get it back to its glory days

Chris IDK. I know this truck came back to me for a reason. I got the 359 for a spare and it’s where I always wanted it to be. I’m going to keep chugging along on the 379 and know that 359 is always sitting there on go. I love them both and wouldn’t sell either one unless I had to. It’s just going to take time and I need to be more patience

I had tank leveling issues... new vents new fuel cap o rings new crossover and new return lines... didnt fix it... only wat to fix it is to run your supply lines from them bottom of yours tanks to your crossover... the late 90s trucks has draw straws inside the tanks and they develop holes in them that causes uneven suction... so it pulls or returns more from one tank.... i ran my supply lines from bottom of my tanks to the crossover and it fixed my issue... i can now fill up one tank and it levels out perfectly... i hope this helps love yours videos... if u sell it and go get another 379 itll have its own set of issues! Dont sell ur truck take care be careful

Thanks man. If had this issue before with it and had a wrapper in the crossover valve. I usually blow the vents out periodically any way so that’s the next step and I’ll probably take all the lines loose and blow through them. That’s how I ended up finding that wrapper in there that one time

Hi, I am brand new to your channel and have been watching a few of your videos. You are bit younger than me and I am impressed how you seem to grasp, embrace, work with, and live in a glory era of trucks that is fading away. I have respect and admiration for people like you who are Old School, Large Car, Classic Peterbilt / Caterpillar enthusiasts like me. I get it that running an old truck as an owner operator is pretty tough. But if you are living the dream, than it must be worth it?? I hope you can work all the bugs out of your 379. It looks like a super cool old truck.

I had my elbow fitting that had cracked where it goes in to the drivers tank on my 1996 W9 & it was splashing fuel out of it. I cleaned & scuffed & wiped it clean again all around the tank where the fitting went in & I keep a tube of that JB Weld Steel Stick right? I think it's JB Weld but it does say Steel Stick on the tube! That's the stuff that's grey & black & you have to work it like your making biscuits with your fingers until it turns completely grey & warms up! Then spread it over the whole or in my case, around the fitting and I just covered up the whole dang fitting 🤣 & let it cure. It will cure in about an hour or so but it will fully cure in 24hrs. I was off the weekend so it was rock hard & binded to that aluminum tank really nice by Monday morning when I fired up! Man that stuff is golden🥰👍🏾 Just for GP I put another stick on top & spread it around the 1st batch! It was under the cab so you couldn't see it anyway. That stuff saved me a bunch of money for a new tank or having to drop it , clean it & get it welded up! I keep a tube of that stuff. Stay safe✌🏾

I get that but that’s not about who I am or what I do. I don’t like new trucks with the emissions, e-log, electronic dashes, PCM’s and plastic interiors. If I sold both and bought a new one I’d have to throw 80 grand in there with it. I would assume throw 80 grand at this green truck and redo the whole truck at one time and have a hell of truck. Like I said I get where you are coming from and get it. If it was 1998 there would be no question about buying a new one
