In the day you can put your blinds up. No one will bother about you being in van. If it worries you about people looking in put some fly screen blinds up or lace type curtains to restrict people seeing in

Thank you good idea! I just worry if it's the same place I'm sleeping in, someone may have seen a female on her own during the day or early evening? Maybe I've just watched too many horror movies 😂

We had the same van as you. We had an alarm /immobiliser on the van which covered the two front van doors plus I fitted little alarms on the opening windows. It made us feel safer. Plus if people can’t see in they don’t know how many people are in the van. Might seem silly but you can always say See you later into the van or I’m back as you are going back in. Makes people in hearing range think that you aren’t alone. Making it useable but private was why we had very fine see through curtains up so it was easy to see out in the day but harder to see in. Hope you soon find what is best for you. Another good idea is to find your park up but to go back to it n park up as you are nearly ready for bed. Means you won’t have been going in and out for people to see. Nice to see your faith I was a church worship leader for 25 years n trained my son in law Matt Hooper who like your dad is a Christian song writer.

Well done Harley, you are not paranoid, I admire your bravery having your 1st night alone in your “beautiful hope” I am sure we will see you again when you are busking somewhere, we enjoyed seeing in sing ( we think it was Felixstowe?? Good luck to you but you are not exactly stealth camping. For added safety though I would not show your Registration Plate on camera. Where I live the council don't allow you to sleep overnight on the streets or in their carparks. Nice job though on a old van.
