1:17 I actually really like that they pulled from the Spider-Man 90s Animated Series for how Venom got to Earth. Like the film John Jonah Jameson III (son of John Jonah Jameson) is an astronaut alongside Paul Stevenson who both were sent into space to study an asteroid, Jameson found a small black rock that he brought onboard the space shuttle. While heading back to Earth the rock cracked open and the symbiote was unleashed trying to take control of Jameson who during this time was trying to pilot the ship through New York City until he crashed on one of the New York Bridges. Spider-Man arrives on the scene only for the symbiote to sneak onto his suit. Later while Peter is asleep the symbiote covers Peter who then awakes to find himself hanging in front of a skyscraper window reflecting his new Black suit, all of this was used in Spider-Man 3 as well. Then like we saw depicted in Spider-Man 3 Peter uses the bell of a church tower to remove the symbiote which then falls onto Eddie who later becomes Venom. For this film they just removed the Spider-Man aspect so Eddie has zero reason to hate Spider-Man and instead we get a Lethal Protector inspired storyline where Eddie/Venom are told by Spider-Man to just leave New York so they head off to the West Coast and become Anti Heros. This is why the film is set in San Francisco instead of New York and why Venom is less of a villain in this movie. The comic storyline takes place a a good few years after Venom's first appearance so he was a villain for a while against Spider-Man. This is also why Venom doesn't have his iconic white Spider-Man logo on his chest. There's no Spider-Man so Venom can't mimic Spider-Man's abilities such as being able to shoot webs and of course mimic his own Spider Symbol. So it's like there going backwards with Eddie/Venom as a character, judging off his comment in No Way Home of wanting to go see Spider-Man in New York.

Fun Fact: The lobster tank scene was somewhat improvised by Tom Hardy. When scouting the location Hardy saw the lobster tank and asked the director to get the props guys to make a fake lobster for him to eat

This, and ESPECIALLY the second one, are some of my favorite comic book movies. A perfect throwback to the intentionally cheesy Venom comics of the 90s

Hello Rhetorical, How was your day Sunday? All good? Many criticize the film because there is no blood, Gore and violence. They also say that because of Disney, Sony could not put gore in the Venom movie!! What do you think of this? I hope they continue making reaction videos together. They have great chemistry 😊❤

great reaction as usual. Venom is the kinds of the movies i cant be objective about , i really DONT LIKE that an adaptation stray too much from the source and that affect how i feel about Venom. this movie miss a CRITICAL part from Venom origin -> the fact that he merged and was rejected by spider man. the reason Venom originally had spiderman like look + moves+ SPIDER SENSE was because he and spidy been merges for quite a time , Venom was spidy black suit. the main bonding between Brook and Venom was their mutual hate for spidey and imo omitting this part take ALOT from the story movie. Sam Reimy (99% i misspelled the name :) ) spiderman 3 did EXCELLENT venom origin adaptation but VERY BAD venom casting , shame we cant put hardy in spideerman 3 as venom (or even a more muscular player )

Yeah, I really enjoyed this movie, I found it very fun and entertaining but I’ve been on the other side of it where I was familiar with the source and didn’t like the adaptation. It’s very fair, and I really appreciate you checking out the video even though you don’t care for the movie 💜💜💜

@@RhetoricalThrill it a decent movie no argue there, it just hit a personal trigger :) i would enjoyed it more if it wasnt named/based on the char venom but was an original story :) if u really want to c me RANTING in RAGE ,u need to c my reaction to the X-Man movies :)

For a PG-13 rating, they used the single F-Word very wisely.

About 10 years ago I bought Amazing Spider-Man 300 comic for 200 dollars at a comic shop. I sent it off to get graded and got a 8.5 grade. This comic is the first appearance of Venom. Last year Todd McFarlane was doing a signing. I sent the comic off because he doesn’t do much signings anymore. He signed my comic and my grade for the comic went to a 8.5 to a 9.0

Rhetorical, I've got another great suggestion. "Hooper" Burt Reynolds and Sally Field did this movie right after "Smokey and the Bandit" It's just a fun movie about stuntmen.

A movie by the name Upgrade came out around the same time as this and it was the better version of Venom than Venom was. It's a guy who get inplanted by a chip in his brain after he got disabled and it helped him take revenge. It's an amazing movie

😂 I knew I was taking a risk going outside my usual content, but the channel won’t grow if I don’t try new things too 💜

the most hilarious part is the "6 months later" card that makes no sense and must have been added in post production. Tom Hardy is still looking for a job and it took that symbiote 6 months to get to California. could not stop laughing at that in the theatres.
