"They hung that guy from a helicopter!" Fun Fact: They really did hang a guy from a helicopter for that shot. Rather than use a dummy, they actually dangled stunt performer Dick Ziker from the helicopter. The '80s, man...they were WILD. Also, it's hard to feel sorry for Tony, but I always admired the way he went out. I'm a firm believer in "If you're gonna go down, go down in FLAMES!"

@@TheSpartan227 she's, no doubt, dead. for those going through the comments, I've got good news. God is good because He gives His blessings to everyone, whether they be good or bad. but everyone has at least, told a lie, or stolen something in their life. and that makes them sinners, and God will not allow sinners in heaven; in His presence, because He is holy. so, God has to punish the sinners in hell, because God is severe and just. but God is also love and He made a way for some to be saved from His wrath. here are the steps: 1. admit that you're a sinner and are lost. 2. realize that the penalty of sin is death (hell). 3. believe that Jesus (who is God) died on the cross, was buried, then rose from the grave, to pay the penalty for man's past, present, and future sins. 4. trust Christ alone as your Savior, and not on your own good deeds to get you to heaven (nor a combination of your faith and self-righteous works). 5. pray to God NOW that you're accepting Christ's free gift of salvation because if you die before making this decision, it's too late, and you'll 🔥🥵😈 6. and to be a disciple, tell people about Jesus, read the bible, go to church regularly to know God's will for your life.

Indeed, just take the movie Roar (1981) fe., with the young Melanie Griffith.
A LOT of people go into this movie thinking Al Pacino/Tony Montana is some sort of anti-hero, but in reality he is the biggest villain of all. Hypocritical, willing to kill, a slave to greed, the desire for power, willingness to corrupt his family and those he cares about etc….this story is a story of a villain, plain and simple.

Cubanos are my peeps! But we do NOT claim "Tony Montana." His sidekick is Steven "Rocky" Bauer. He is an authentic Cuban. 😊 Actually the only Cuban in the film.😅
I come from a Cuban American family and grew up in Miami. My aunt was living in Miami beach when they were filming that scene where Tony shoots the guy on the street in the bloody shirt. She met Al Pacino and got a signed poster of the movie from him. It's a family heirloom. Most of the outdoor locations filmed in the movie were filmed in Miami and many of those places are still recognizable today. They did a good job at depicting the party life here, the drugs, the culture. It's still the same today.

It’s a hold over plotline that ties the original 1929 film this movie is based on. Most of the original films plot is the sisters storyline. Also “the World Is Yours” is a major thing in the 29 version as well.
Something I've always noticed about Tony whenever I watch this movie, is that he left Cuba to get away from Castro and to get away from being bossed around all the time. However, when Tony became the boss of a vast drug empire with people under him, he eventually became a Castro himself, so to speak.
@jacquelinecallejas1390
8 ай бұрын
I always thought he was lying about being a REAL political refugee. He was probably a criminal back then too or his momma wouldn't have instantly known he was a criminal and KILLED someone when he went to visit her. This movie was set during the "Marialito" thing where Castro took advantage of the fact that Cuban Americans wanted to help their anti-Castro relatives join them in the US. Instead of letting real political activists out he really did empty his psych wards and jails. I 100 % believe Tony didn't care what the politics were. It was probably just easier to get away with being a big time drug dealer in the U.S. than in Cuba, so he left. His motivation isn't freedom, it is greed.
@TransBeth
8 ай бұрын
@@jacquelinecallejas1390 I never thought of it like that. I mean, I always knew that Tony had a criminal past because of the prison time and the tattoo and his mom's suspicions about the money, but I never thought of his reasons for coming to the US in that way. It does make sense though, considering Castro released almost nothing but criminals, and also because Tony gave no shits as long as he got rich.
The actress who played Tony's mother was also Tuco Salamanca's grandmother in Better Call Saul. Yet one more connection to the Breaking Bad Universe
Hey Ash and Hannah, Fun fact: They really did hang a guy from a helicopter for that shot. ------- No dummy dolls were harmed here. No CGI involved while dangling that stuntman from the helicopter. ------ What a WILD ride, the 70's and 80's movie making had no hold barred.

“This is giving me GTA: Vice City vibes”. Funny you should mention that, because Scarface was a huge influence on that game. Also, there’s another ‘80s classic you should check out: Beverly Hills Cop. Also deals with drug dealing.
In the final shootout scene. When Al Pacino is reloading his gun. Al Pacino accidentally grabbed the barrel of the gun. Which was red hot from being fired 30 times. He screamed so loud after grabbing the barrel that Geno Silva who played the assassin with the shotgun. Heard Al Pacino screaming and thought "Jesus, he's really going for it here". His hand was stuck to the barrel and was so badly burned that he couldn't work for two weeks.
The symbolism of Tony eating the lemon, instead of cleaning his hands is to show he comes from poverty. Sosa wanted to use him because he thought he’d be easy to control.
12:04 “BRUNO MARS” MAN CHICHI NEVER GETS CALLED HIS NAME LOL 😂
Guys you got to checkout “BLOW” Johnny Depp plays George Young. He wasn’t an immigrant like Tony but he had a similiar track in the path of the drug empire. Its an amazing movie and based in real life. At the ending credits they show a picture of the real George in prison.

This is my all time favorite film of all time, I've seen it about 50 times, love the fact that you decided to react to this film
She’s unintentionally dressed like “Poison Ivy” an I love it! 🥰💯🥰🔥🔥🔥🔥
LOVE THE CHANNEL! Can’t wait to watch this when I get home ❤️❤️
Wolf of Wall Street (2013) is my second favorite film of a man who came from nothing, became corrupted and flew too close to the sun.

When I watched Wolf of Wall Street the first time, it gave me Scarface vibes.
Love your reactions guys❤ this is one of my fav classics..never gets old
Yessss! Al Pacino is amazing!! I’d love to see you two react to The Devils Advocate.. I know you guys love Keanu Reeves also
Humphrey Bogart was indeed a real person & actor! 😅 You need to check out Casablanca. & The African Queen.

Maltese Falcon, Big Sleep, To Have and Have Not. Petrified Forest or Barefoot Contessa for earlier/later pictures. Key Largo’s a nice time, Angels With Dirty Faces hits strong in the feels, Cagney’s in that one as well
Idk if it’s just a coincidence but Ash’s shirt is perfect to wear for this reaction lol

That cut to ash dancing!!😂 Im in bits! 😂😂😂 "Oh look he dances like you .."
When I tell my dad about your reactions (he's old school and not into the internet), I refer to you as "you know, dad... my little Brits. The ones that watched Borat, remember?" hahaha. He always says, "Yeah, the couple with the cute redhead?" hahahaha. Love you guys. Been watching you for a few years now and you're like family members that just hang out in the background (that I've never met).
“Say Hello to my little friend” one of the most iconic lines ever.

All this time though he was talking about Bruno Mars. 😅😂
"Hon relax! Your nipples are getting hard!" is my new favorite saying.
As a movie lover and seen almost every film out there Scarface remains my personal favourite. I fell in love with it since I was like 10 year old now at 34 they put it on cinema. Took my friend with me and I was like a kid at a sweet shop. I reacted similar to u guys at every scene and quoted every line
Another great reaction. Rudolph the white nose deer 😂😂. Hannah had the whole grease song down! Makes me wanna see you dressed up as Danny and Sandy 😂
Humphrey Bogart was one of the biggest, most well known movie stars in the world. Yes, its a real name. Or haven't you even seen Casablanca? VERY good Al Pacino (with Johnny Depp) movie: DONNIE BRASCO. A must-see. Scarface is a remake. The original movie was released in the 1930s.
Such a great movie! I am so glad you watched the ultimate classic. I love Al Pacino so much! If you put Devils Advocate next on your list, you won’t regret it. Love you guys. Awesome reaction as always
I'm loving that you loved the movie. I remember seeing this in the theatre.
Have you not seen Heat? There's a Pacino film that's fit for a reaction
Awesome movie choice Love you guys Ash, nice shirt

Welcome aboard! You legend ❤️✊🏾
I work with a cuban man. Very nice guy. I gotta say Al Pacino nailed the accent sounds just like cuban Americans
I don't think I've seen Hannah get soooo drawn into the drama! You guys definitely show why this film is a classic, just a work of pure art.
Fun fact: at 10:35 the actress in the blue bikini that he is hitting on, mysteriously disappeared after this film, believed to be murdered and never found. True story. Look it up.
