Hachi is probably the best dog movie I’ve ever seen, what makes it even more incredible, is that it’s based on a true story. It’s an amazing example of our connection to man’s best friend and the kind of love a dog and owner can have.

Yes, it is a great movie. If you want to watch another real story about an amazing dog, watch _Togo._ It is the mind-blowing story about a sled dog who was named _Most Heroic Animal of all Time_ by Time Magazine.

I love "Turner and Hooch " too. The first dog story that made me cry was "Old Yeller". great dog stories. I'll have to see Togo. Another great dog movie is the Japanese "Antarctica " the only Dvd I could find was for Zone 2. I have the video on VHS, but our VHS player is in the garage. They're so many great movies about 🐕 🐶

Films about dogs made in Japan, based on true stories. A Tale of Mari and Three Puppies(2007) True stories about people, Shiba Inu and puppies after a major earthquake in Japan in 2004. Antarctica (1983 film) Film, original source of ''eight below'' The story of the dogs stranded in Antarctica between 1958 and 1959. Incidentally, one of the dogs in the story is on display at the Tokyo National Museum as a stuffed specimen, along with Hachiko.

Not many people know about this. But in the University where Dr. Ueno imparted classes, there is recently a statue of both Hachiko and Dr. Ueno. In this statues looks like Hachiko receives him just like they used to.

This movie really put my hometown on the map. I grew up a few short streets away from the train station they used. Local art students made a sister Hachi statue to the one in Japan, that still sits outside the station.

The Japanese Akita is a strong dog. They like Hachi was loyal to the one they love. That just about tore my heart out of my chest! This one made a grown man cry!

The saddest part is that this movie was based on a true story...Losing a dog was devasting. I told her it was okay for her to go and finally she took her last breath in my arms hours later.

7:47..Has to be the first time I've ever seen Cary-Takanawa-Chang play something else besides an evil Asian Thug. 18:42..There's been records of Dogs finding thier owners from halfway across the country after being seperated....But yeah, this movie is a mos ef a tear-jerker for any dog lover..Another great dog-movie is the little-known 1991's "White Fang",.. In the middle of the Yukon gold rush,. After saving each other's lives, Ethan Hawke and a half-wolf dog conquer the Alaskan wilderness and gold thives together, derveloping an unbreakable bond.

Hachi is my favorite dog story. I found"Hachi in the discount dvds section for$2.99. So i bought some copies. One for my friend who loved it and another for the library that i worked at. Another movie that I've been looking for is the movie "Antarctica " the movie "8 below" is based one the movie. It's about sled dogs were left behind, they didn't have enough room for them. So this man wants to save them. I have a video ,but no DVD. The dvd that i have is for someone that lives in zone 2. It is a wonderful movie too. Hachi really is a real tear jerker. You know what's going to make you cry and you do. This is my favorite Richard Gere movie and i love this movie.❤❤❤😊😊

A dog patiently waited 8 hours every day for moment of your time to walk with them and play with them. Loyal to owner. Yet some human abandon dogs. Human don’t deserve such love from them. I know because I have a tenant who has a dog. When she go to work, the dog patiently waited in the backyard watching the owner to return home. Exactly like the movie. I play with him and walk him to pee/poo when I can. A physical body to let the dog know is not home alone. He is excited when he sees me but his love for his owner is unconditional. He still gets distracted by the door and check when his owner will return.
