First Time Running Vertical Tiller
The busyness of Springtime field work is upon us. With warmer days, the guys have decided to try out the McFarlane vertical tiller for the very first time.
Also, we are still doing some green chopping of the rye, but not for much longer, as it will be heading out very shortly.
Thanks for watching!

Excellent presentation 😁
Great to see the Challenger out and about. Blessings for seed sowing time 🇮🇪
Great video as usual!!❤ great to see the challenger again! Great job men!
The winds have been around 50 mph and dropped down to 35 degrees. Strange weather all over. I am jealous of your rain and green. Man those fields are looking so nice. God bless you guys.
Thanks for the video, folks! Great to see the activity on the farm. Lots going on today! Have a nice day! 😀
I love hearing you guys doing cover crops and not doing a burn down.
Nice update Rhonda, great to see dust behind the challenger.
Thank you Kevin for showing us the bird's nest that was pretty cool😊
Cool nest.
Another great Sunday with THE ACRES OF CLAY FAMILY Morning KEVIN ,RONDA, SIDNEY, EATHAN ,SANDERS and Mackenzie and all the rest of the family!!!😃😃😃😃😃
Good Morning Ronda and family. Great to see you have the giant Challenger repaired and in service. Birds are really growing..
Good morning and great video Rhonda. Calling for rain here all week. Won't be able to get anything done. The chickens are looking good and healthy. Take care and have a blessed and safe day
Looks like your rye grass is doing great. The new addition the the farm, the McFarland is doing an awesome job. Good luck with your planting and harvesting, I hope you do good. Have a great week!
Yahoo the challenger tractor is back up and running again I miss that tractor
Nice to see the Challenger up and running again. Liked the drone shots, but wished we could hear the Challenger engine barking away. Like Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor would say,....."More Power" (then his grunting noises). Don't know if you have a video planned for next Sunday 5-12-2024, Mother's Day, or not. But if you don't, I will wish you a Happy Mother's Day now!!!

A Number of Farm Cats around US have Died because they Ate Dead Birds with the Bird Flu Disease. A Vet in Texas found out that it’s the 1st Time it Affected Cattle.🙏

Good morning 🙏 🌄 from keavy Kentucky
Your farm just gets better and better easier work wize
Love your explanations in the timing if the crops, & how the cows like it. The rising nest. How smart r those birds !
Excellent video, very educational! Thanks for producing the video.
All of that rye will be in head in a week or so. meat chickens will be ready very soon . Your friend from Virginia.😊😊
The farm looks nice. We had a farmer here who had a medical issue. He fell off the tractor and got ran over by his spreader. He died. Be safe. Good to see you.

Sorry to hear of the loss... :(
Your "newer" trees in your Challenger part of the video are looking healthy. If those meat chickens realized your intentions they'd be leaving the reservation. LOL
Another great video! Awesome to see the Challenger working, what a beast!!!! You have some beautiful hens !!

It's great to see another way a farmer way of crops and fertilizer . If there's a bird in that nest when your chopping will create "Bird Flew".

It's at least a week early this year.
I have red wing blackbirds that make nests like that in the grass
Great job Ronda and the Gang, I agree with Kevin, egr valves can be a real pain in the butt👍🙏🙂

Another great video!
Sanders schooled on that EGR cooler haha. I agree with Kevin all that crap they've got bolted onto engines now is lousy.. the problem is it's not going away so I've just kind of accepted it at this point. Great video I enjoy hearing Kevin talk about the crops. That bird flue is really something, hopefully that doesn't go too much further

It's crazy that the younger kids know so much more about newer technologies.
I might have to plant rice in my garden keeps raining lol.
The McFarlane Reel Disk worked great for us we recently upgraded to a Kinze Machtill. The reel disk loves speed the faster you go the better it does. We tried to keep it around 9 mph. Make sure to keep several wheel hubs on hand though that's the biggest issue we ever had.

Thanks for that piece of info!!!
Thank You, very interesting!
It’s good to have confident kids, but guys never forget who got you started. The minute you think dads behind the times is the time he pulls you out of a jam.
It's raining for you. Our weather is dry and the rye has already been cut.
Enjoyed your video
The chickens are interesting. My wife has chickens too. We have a black snake camping out in the chickens house and we are going to have to get rid of it.

I bet the cows came up in milk, and butterfat went down, always liked rye grass. good luck !
thank you
Nice work Ronda and family. That bird nest was a wonderful discovery. Did Kevin spot it from the Challenger tractor? That sure was a big job getting the Challenger back together. Have a great week.

He spotted it by just walking out in the field. 😄
Kevin is so lucky to have a wonderful wife like you I wish I could find one just like you y’all are so blessed never an argument the whole family is so blessed sure love to watch your videos 🙏🏻👍🏻
Challenger! I agree, don't understand EGR, always think it's an add-on, it's annoying. Life of a farmer... yay rain, boo rain, yay sunshine, boo sunshine, yay wind, boo wind, yay kids, boo kids (just joking about the last bit (but it's kinda true)). Not saying that farmers change their mind a lot, just having to depend on that weather.....
The chicken look amesing
the egr has to be cooled before it its recirculated into the engine. it will use a cooler similar to an oil cooler where the exhaust is passed thru a series of tubes incased in a water jacket. without doing this it would cause the EGTs to rise to a dangerous level.
👋😊
😄👍👍👍
Probably could use a few more ponies in front of that McFarland! That work better at higher speeds.
Don’t forget to plow wife’s garden lol
🙂
Those meat birds are so funny the way they waddle!

Good morning, Kevin, Ronda and family. Around here we've finally gotten a few dry days and grain is going in the ground right across from me. With all the silage remaining, will you continue to feed it til it's gone, or will the warmer weather cause it to spoil? Blessings for your family and farm, have a safe week.
@acresofclayhomestead

All the silage from last year will remain until we feed it up. Silage will not spoil if stored properly.
Thanks
i seen a video that you made back and kevin was talking about if its legal to replant triticale seed. everbody that i have talked to around here say its not illegal to replant seed as long as your usining it for feed or a cover crop. its illegal to replant and harvest it and take it too sell at the grain elevator
Looking good how is the Cat Challenger running
do you change plant population from corn silage to earlage?
@acresofclayhomestead

Yes we do.
Your meat birds waddle to their feeder but if they knew their future they might run or waddle away from the feeder!😂 😂😅

Ex gust gas return EGR IT RECERCLATE AND REBURNS FUEL
