That was her first public performance.....so epic. She is a preachers daughter that grew up singing in church. Her mother tragically took her own life 3 weeks after this performance and that of course impacted her greatly....she changed her name to Yebba because it was one of her mothers favorite nicknames for her. She has performed with some big names as well as released some amazing solo work.

the raw emotion in this performance is heartbreakingly beautiful. Her range is absolutely insane.

She grew up in West Memphis, Arkansas as a preacher’s kid. She said that one of her biggest influences was the Clark Sisters. She has so much soul. Other ones you should definitely check out her cover of “Gravity” with Clark Beckham and for more recent “Boomerang” and her tiny desk concert is absolute perfection 🤌🏻

She did actually go through this, but if I'm not mistaken, her mother died shortly before this performance, so I am sure the emotion comes from multiple places. One of my favorite live performances ❤

Despite lots of people blown away by her vocals Yebba has relesaed very little. This performance is 6 years old now. She has popped up on the odd guest vocals but her own work has been limited to a couple of tracks & one album in 2021. She was signed to Ed Sheerans label & is now signed to RCA. Hopefully she won't just vanish or be a nearly was, she has the voice but she needs the songs.

I came here after pj Morton and Yerba how deep is you love jumped into my tick too. It was such a soulful and angelic experience from the both of them whom I have beaver heard of before. Yebba is amazing! Her style of singing reminds me of Kaz Hawkins - (check out her album version of Feelin’ Good or Hallelujah) and the only other singer I ever saw show that much emotion was when Beth Hart w/Joe Bonamassa sung “I’d rather go blind” (it’s on youtube). It’s awesome to see /feel someone young like Yebba not afraid to make me feel her emotions when she sings! love it!!
