Damn, made me shed tears. I had listened to this piece multiple times but never read the translated lyrics. It was already making me emotional, but after paying attention to the lyrics, I found myself crying.

As I'm learning Japanese right now, I've started listening to more and more Japanese music, Minami (美波）is just one of the best singers I've ever heard from Japan. Ado, Syudou, Minami, Stack (from 暁records) and a couple others are the main ones helping me learn a TON of words. If you go over a song from Stack again, PLEASE PLEASE do Psycholily. Genuinely insane singing, and you'd probably have a field day with it.

Minami is the queen of emotions. And you know what? I see a similarity between you two. You are both very expressive in what you do and I absolutely love it. This makes it easy for me to resonate with your feelings and emotions. That's why minami is my favorite singer and your channel is my favorite among others similar.

I came for a decent vocal analysis. I did not expect an excellent take on the meaning of the song as well. With personal associations too. Cool bonus.

i'm always flabbergasted every time I hear this song. It's singing emotion and expression at its peak

I think the idea is that if you act fake for long enough, it's hard to be able to be genuinly yourself again. Not just because you have no confidence in yourself but because everyone knows you as someone you're not. Being accepted as someone you are not almost hurts more than not being accepted at all.

Dealing with self-image and identity is not easy and she nails it with the lyrics and performance. Makes me emotional everytime. Great reaction. Main Actor next for more great lyrics and performance.

Thank you for the great video! Minami is my favorite japanese artist so I throughoutly enjoyed this analysis. I love one her most recent songs called Time Gram, its such a banger and would love to see you react and give exposure to it! I absolutely LOVE this track. The clear breath & voice breaks add SO MUCH emotion. So rarely can I hear a vocalist use the sound of them taking a breath in to add to a song. Usually, it feels like it gets avoided. Not from Minami. She deliberately makes you hear her breath. Gasping for air in desperation to give more impact I get brought to tears very often listening to it.

one of my favourite things about this song is at the last chorus (and the first) the bpm slows down from 205 to 185 and when she starts screaming is goes back 205 which amplifies everything even more

I've dealt with depression for a long time, and I've never felt more identified with a song than her song "Main Actor". For me personally, when I look for artists that I like, I never go/ seek out those with great techniques or having a "great voice" or what most people consider "good singers". I go for those who are genuine, and really connected to what they are singing. Those that mean and truly believe in what they are singing. Technique and polish can always be improved on, LiSA is a PRIME example of it. If you heard how she sounds like at the start of her career, most people(especially in mainstream) wouldve just not given her a second thought. But look at her now. Her technique has gotten so polished but her very essence, her genuine approach to her songs and performance are still the same as she did way back then. You can see and hear and FEEL it. And to me, Minami also has something similar to that, though i have not listened to Minami live like i had from LiSA, I believe I wouldnt be disappointed. And on that note, react to LiSA's old performances(especially lives) back in the early 2010s. Youll see what i mean.

Yeess more Minami! Would like to suggest Dir En Grey's Vinushka or Obscure for reaction video. Kyo is amazing vocalist and love to experiment with his voice a lot. If you like Ado, I think, you'll definitely like his singing haha.

absolutely what I love about this!

I find that singers are much too smooth in their way of singing in the majority of what we hear “industrialized” (pop, rock, rap...) and no longer allow themselves as much vocal madness. Where as the Japanese are more creative and free in their singing. They live their songs, the emotions linked to them, and convey it all in their voices, whether in music or anime. Emotions are omnipresent in their interpretation and emotion. Which is paradoxical in their everyday social lives. I think it's their way of expressing their emotions that they keep to themselves. And it's taking whether we understand the lyrics or not, emotions are enough to understand a context an emotion ... That's why I love music. For me, music should be a means of transmitting emotions and bringing them to life. The best universal expression. Thank you for your honest and true way of living with the songs you're listening to and discovering for the first time. And for your love for music !

There’s a reason you don’t see many analysis videos for the Beatles. They are more difficult to work with as far as getting copyrights cleared and getting permission to use their music under Fair Use which is what I do with all my videos. I will try again sometime in the future but need to be strategic :) !!
