If you listen to older country, not today’s country, but older country from before the 80s 90s early 2000s, you’re going to hear stories and watch videos that are fantastic. You can read a book for hours, but listen to a song that will tell you an entire story. I grew up on this stuff, with my dad playing guitar when I was just a little tiny kid. I love all types of music but every time I hear a country song, it brings me back to my childhood. The songs are indeed stories. Enjoy them!!!

He claimed it was easy to write a hit song about anything. He made a bet and his friends and they picked a red solo cup. He did it and the video is hilarious along with many of his videos. I love a video he did with his friend Terry Bradshaw, I'm just talkin about tonight.

These are my absolute favorite KZread videos.... musically inclined young people learning about the 70's-80's-90's music. Without fail people are so surprised just how good he music and musicians were back then. Really enjoying your journey; hope you do more older music. Its a treasure.

For the best patriotic song ever, check out his official video for the song he wrote after 9/11. It's called 'Courtesy of the red white & blue'. 'American Soldier' is another beautiful song. Toby has a way of making his videos funny, even for his ballads, like 'It's a little too late' & 'You shouldn't kiss me like this' to name a few. Dolly is the richest country entertainer in the world. Shania is 2nd & Toby is 3rd.

Seen him when he first come out with should have been a cowboy, at local club in Charlotte Coyote Joes ,had a meet and greet he had a stipulation that he did not kiss the women his lips were only for his wife many women were upset but I thought it awesome respect for his wife 😊❤he went on to be a superstar ❤️

I love the south too. I have lived in every time zone and we intentionally settled in the south. That was many years ago after being moved for job reasons. Most of the newcomers gravitating down here are settling in to the friendlier slower pace.

True country music is always a story. I can't listen to a lot of the newer country because it's pop not country.. Country music should always have a fiddle and a steel guitar to me.. I guess I'm just old school... my Pop-Pop raised me on OLD COUNTRY.. And I remember in the early 90's when Garth came out and all my friends were like .. wow Country music.. I became a country music snob at that point because I was like you don't know true country... Not saying I don't love me some Garth, Alan, Reba, Patti, George... on and on.. just saying they didn't know the roots of country music... They thought Garth started it all..
