This remake was composed and recorded in one week to meet the Metallica Blacklist album submission deadline.

There is no Metallica song called "Exit Light". It is Enter Sandman (No "the"). This is from Metallica's "Black" Album (1992, I believe). They did a 30th anniversary album called "The Blacklist", where Metallica got 53 different artists to reimagine their own renditions of their favorite song off the Black album, with proceeds going to charity. The instructions were, from Metallica, to take the song, turn it upside down and inside out and do it in your own style, but don't change the lyrics. The Canadian Grammy-winning pop singer/songwriter Alessia Cara was asked to be a part of it. She has the same Management company as The Warning, so they suggested she do a collaboration with The Warning. They managed to reimagine this song, record it and get to Metallica in 8 days to make the publishing deadline for the album. AND it was during Covid lockdown and Alessia was working remotely in Toronto while The Warning and their producer were in Monterrey, MX. Absolutely astonishing!

Not to mention, this track by “Alessia Cara and The Warning” Is the opening cut on the blacklist album. Generally I would prefer that The Warning get first credit for the song, as they did most of the work, but Alessia’s name pushed them to the start of the album!

It's interesting that it is not uncommon for "the" to be inserted in the song title. I am not sure why this is. I am guessing it is a spoken language thing

I don’t understand why people put the In Enter Sandman.

At 76, It was always Enter Sandman. He wrote the song about SID as he was pissed off that children suddenly in their cribs, The Band made him change some lyrics. I too at my age say this is the greatest Band ever. You haven't even began to uncover the greatness of these 3 girls. The Drummer is Pau and she sings the lead on my of their songs. How many drummers can drum and sing at the same time?

I can't even imagine the pressure The Warning was under, they were asked to do their own version of such an iconic song, with a collaborator they had never met, and oh yeah, you have ten days to get it done! The Killed It!

To see how these women totally remade the song, suggest that you either take a listen to Metallica’s original version or, better yet, check out The Warnings first cover of Enter Sandman in 2014 when they were 14, 12 and 9 years old. This video went viral (almost 26 million views now) and, one could say, put them on the map. It did massively influence them and drove them to kickstart their own career to get to where it is today. As for versions - The Warning’s superpower is their live performances so best to review them - only, though, when professionally shot and recorded. The concert where this video you just reacted to (and Dust to Dust a few days ago) is a great place to continue to see them live. It’s their concert at the Teatro (Tey-atro) Metropolitan CDMX (Mexico City) from August 2022. You may want to go through the entire concert, one song at a time - there is a full concert video available on TW’s channel in which each song is timestamped separately. Rock on! 🤘

There are many versions of this non-original song. This is the third play of the three best. The first was ten years ago when they were kids. The second was an OMV of this revised arrangement in around 2021. Then this one. There is another featuring the singer, Alessia Cara, who performed the higher lead and ethereal backgrounds here, singing live with The Warning at the Troubadour. Project was called *Metallica's Blacklist Album* where Metallica asked over 50 artists to cover a song from their "Black Album.* which Metallica was celebrating its 30th anniversary. This is Enter Sandman by Metallica. There is no song called exit light .This song came off a famous album called The Black album. The Warning is a flawless live band, and they always outshine their studio recordings. The only video of their's that's a must watch is 2017's XXI Century Blood, recorded when they were only 17, 15, and 12. They have plenty of great videos but that one is a masterpiece. Other than that this is one of the greatest live bands out there. They - and their team - nail it every time.

If you want to have some fun, go back to the first cover The Warning did when they were younger in The Warning Cave, still great but so different! Ale, the bass player, is only nine years old in that version and really started these amazing girls on their music journey!

The music video is a little different because it features guest Alessia Cara on verse one lead vocals, and doing more prominent harmony vocals, and a very different way of performing the middle quiet breakdown that the warning created for both of these versions. Great experience either way. But yes I’m glad you did the live version!!! It truly is most exciting!!

They have a lot of good songs even from when they were teenagers (well, the bass player is still a teenager and was 17 at the time of that song you just played). Anything from that concert is wonderful as it was so well well produced.

The live versions are generally the way to go, but some of the music videos are really cool too, and the studio versions are great also. Some reactors do a double reaction where they do the MV, then the live.

That was definitely 'Enter Sandman' originally by Metallica. Metallica asked them to reimagine it any way they wanted - whatever you do, just don't change the lyrics. So, they did! It's quite different than the original and now appears as track one on Metallica's 'Black List' album, a tribute to 30 years since the release of the Black album (the album the original version of Enter Sandman appeared on).

All versions of them will be great. But I definitively will always prefer the live versions.

I've heard the original too many times to count, but this is a great re-imagining to it and actually like it better! MV or live, music from The Warning, Band-Maid, and Rolling Quartz is always great!

HAHA...you'll never please everyone! For The Warning MOST fans agree that their LIVE versions are the best...but again, not everyone will have that opinion. This is MY favorite version of their Enter Sandman cover.

For me, there's really only 2 must see TW official music videos. 21st Century Blood and Enter Sandman w/ Alessia Cara and The Warning. Only because it's the official version on Metallica's Blacklist Album. Check it out on your own if you'd like to see how they incorporated a pop singer into the song. Live is always great, though.

Everyone pretty much agrees that watching The Warning live is always more fun with one exception. the music video for XXI Century Blood. They are just fun to watch perform but thet particular music video is really amazing.

Alessia was invited by Metallica and it was Chris Smith of 21 Entertainment Group who suggested to Alessia to collaborate with The Warning, since she didn't know a single song from the Black album, and Metallica also liked the idea for the collaboration.

It drives me nuts. Some people always seem to add words that aren't there, even if they are directly reading it. There were some people calling HYCAD - Hell You Can Call a Dream.

Might as well get used to it. You will always get comments like that regardless what version you use. The official party line of TWA is that their live performances are ALWAYS better than the studio recorded versions. But there are a few of us rebels less susceptible to mob mentality and don't always follow the party line who love studio recordings of certain songs. So don't worry about it. By the way, personally, I prefer their recorded version of this song done with Alessia Cara. It is a masterpiece and has much more interesting elements in it.

A lot of things I could say but I will just say- NOT Exit Light???? Enter Sandman.
