This song has so many levels. The album is called This Place Will Become Your Tomb and has a running theme of water throughout with songs like Atlantic and High Water as well as the album art. The lyrics talk about this person being in a middle ground of all the comparisons "not acid nor alkaline" Which, as you said, is pH 7 and the only substance that is pH 7 is water. The track is also the 7th track on the album,
Their song "The Love You Want" is great along with the beautiful music video. Don't worry there aren't any spiders lol

The way I interpret the lyrics, if viewed from a relationship stand point, is that the other person is "neither acid nor alkaline" ie neutral, in other words is neither committed to the relationship nor to ending the relationship. Yet Vessel is totally committed to completely knowing the other person - "to the heart of her molecules." But Vessel is starting to see yet ignore the warning signs - "perfectly misaligned" & " I see in a different light, the objects of my desire." I interpret the video as Vessel being "comfortable" fighting off these insecurities, warning signs, and toxicity represented by the attackers in hazmat suits, but is stuck in a repeating cycle, represented by the video starting and ending with the same shot. Another single released from this same album also has a similar repeating cycle. That song, which also has a video, is The Love You Want. Of course, these are just my own thoughts, and I could be totally wrong!! I'm open to other people's more insightful interpretations. Great reaction. Stay safe 🤘 ✌️

I love that you tied it into the video with the toxicity being represented by the shooters. And the idea of being stuck in a loop definitely explains why the starting image reflects the end imagine - that’s awesome!
No spider that I seen, your safe. I love this song I think it might be my favorite Sleep Token. But Chokehold is pretty good to.

Hahaha Okay phew. I’ve listened to Chokehold and also loved it! I’d have to listen to all of them back to back to pick a fav. But Bloodsport is a soft spot because it was my first.

Would be cool to get a Sleep Token interview and hear from their own mouth what the song is about. I'd hope they wouldn't give a "whatever you want it to mean" answer

As you like story telling performances I recommend Lara Fabian, "Je suis malade" from her concert "From Lara with love". Make sure you have some tissues with you on the ready.
