    Actually a Hasidic jew ( at least at this time) it was strange in the 90s. The most notable was white and the most popular reggae/rapper was a Hasidic Jew.

    I have this album! Yes, Matisyahu was a Hasidic Jewish reggae rap alt musician 🔥 (I use past tense because he is more fluid in his religious views now)

    I’m 33 and been listening to him since I was 15 I was finally lucky enough to be able to see him live here in Pensacola at the vynyl! It was life changing he’s an amazing person with amazing positive outlook on life for all people!

    Ohhhh I love this song! Long time since I've heard this. I used to be very into roots reggae. It's often about religion. I'm an atheist myself, but that doesn't matter when it comes to music. Good music is good music. You just feel it!

    This talented artist has been around for years, well maybe 2 decades this song was from the album "Youth" I remember being his first album i owned. He made other albums yrs prior and even after but Youth was hands down one of my faves of his. Hes talented, my friend put me on to his music as he use to DJ and knew I loved reggae....

    I've been a fan of Matisyahu for years, his whole Live at Stubb's album is phenom. More reactions to that!! His integration of Jewish hazzan with reggae is so perfect. I'm athiest myself but the message is still relevant, and the sound is so powerful and worth putting to maximum volume

    The change in tempo where his voice gets lower and higher is not the original. I originally assumed you did that so to not get copyrighted but I have this album and I know for sure there are no tempo or voice pitch changes
