I hereby state that I believe my content, a Reaction Video, constitutes a transformative use of the original copyright protected material. I am creating reaction videos that are my own opinions and reviews of the protected material, and my work is protected under the fair use doctrine as outlined in Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976. I believe that my use of the original material does not infringe upon the rights of the copyright holder and is protected under the principles of fair use. I have no intent of claiming this music as my own. This is my musical reaction, breakdown, and commentary breakdown of the song. I intend no copyright infringement, and this is not a replacement for listening to the song. I am not trying to take any ownership of the copyrighted material. I am simply reacting to the content, giving my opinion on the content, and providing educational feedback for my viewers on what I think the meaning of the content is. I love how y'all stopped at 1:40 to bring attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Y'all are fantastic reactors/creators. I'm here for whatever you decide to react to in the future.

This song reminds me that it could have been me, and that hits hard. I am 32, but I know at least 5 women in my family from earlier generations who were in abusive relationships. Some got away, some did not due the the fact that 'marriage was for life and divorce was shameful.' It hurts to know that the freedoms I have in society are so new and so fragile.

I’m 33 and I feel the same. I look at the aunts and uncles on my mother’s side, and even the kind of men my cousins married… and I’m thankful that my mother managed to escape, marry a kind man, and never dumb herself down in order to be loved. By no means do I have a good relationship with her, but irregardless, she made sure I knew that no woman deserves this.

I'm quite glad that I'm what the world considers homley. Being unattractive has protected me from the worst men have to deal out. This anthem for women is so powerful. Unfortunately running is the only option for an awful lot of women.

I feel you! I'm also considered unattractive by most men's standards, and I'm grateful for it. Being unattractive protects me to some extent. But I live and work downtown in a major city so I have to deal with a lot of harassment anyways - predators don't actually care what a woman looks like, they just care that she's in their general vicinity and might be an easy target.

@@sydneybird2462 I understand. Luckily I also have another trait that also wards off would be attackers. I'm not afraid and I'm pretty sure that telescopes out to people. I don't know why, but I have never been afraid of someone attacking me. I got picked on as a kid, but once I made my willingness to fight an attacker really obvious, folks teased but never threatened me. As an adult, I feel like I would seriously hurt anyone trying to mug me.

@sydneybird2462 I found out a couple of weeks ago that I really can defend myself when attacked. 2 young people half.My age attacked me in a parking lot And I don't really remember it that clearly because of the amount of adrenaline , I was experiencing at the time, but the video footage from the store showed me throwing my attacker to the ground. I have no recollection of doing that. I got beat up a bit and wound up with a mild concussion, a brused face and some scrapes, but other than that. I was remarkably ok. Never felt fear during the attack. A more accurate description would be anger and defiance. I guess it's all a matter of perspective.

If y'all are open to suggestions, please react to "Hind's Hall" by Macklemore! It's a song about the student protests on universities here in the U.S. against the genocide in Palestine. You can also look up the story of the six year old little girl Hind from Gaza to get a pretext for the song. Hind was in a car evacuating with family members when the car was shot by a tank. Her 13 year old cousin originally called for help, but died shortly after due to injuries. 6 year old Hind took the phone and begged/cried for help because she was also injured. After several hours, they got explicit permission to bring an ambulance to that roadside and help Hind. But when the ambulance arrived, little Hind and the volunteer paramedics were aimed at and killed by the same war tank, despite getting permission to come and rescue Hind. This is what sparked the U.S. campus protests. A group of protesting students unfurled a banner to rename a building "Hind's Hall." PLEASE react to Hind's Hall by Macklemore.

This song has always been equal parts sweet and bitter to hear for me. It spreads an important message, however I grew up in a living situation exactly like this . However, my mother didn't get away until I was in my early teens and then fell into another (arguably worse) relationship immediately afterwards. Sometimes running isn't something that is achievable; especially when you are isolated in a small community. It hurts to think that there are so many women around the world that still deal with these situations, even with new modern rights, and I consistently find myself thankful that I have managed to find someone in my life that will give just as much as he takes in a relationship. Some songs I think you may like if you like this one; > Love Can Only Heal by Myles Kennedy > The Water Is Fine (Crimson Edition specifically) by Chloe Ament > Girl With One Eye by Florence and the Machine > The Fruits by Paris Paloma > Running With The Wolves by AURORA > Family Line by Conan Grey > Cinnamon Girl by Lana Del Rey > Video Games by Lana Del Rey You guys are *adorable* and I hope you all the best in your future endeavours! ❤🖤

I love that the video has so many different women with different cultures, physical attributes, skills, passions, experiences, attitudes, concerns. And all of them understand exactly what this song is about. That hurts, but means we all have a common starting point for discussion and making it better.

I know I’m a little late to the party with my comment, but Paris has a song called “as good a reason” that may also resonate with you as it did for me, especially in terms of the way women are body shamed
