You just fell down a magical rabbit hole and there is no going back now. Yes, Sir. Dimash could not perform for his "Dears" (fans) during Covid, so he did a digital concert for us. There is a deep, genuine, love between Dimash and his fans, and it shows with every concert. No matter what language he sings in, his chorus comes from the crowd he is singing for by the thousands. At the Emei Mountain concert both Dimash and his audience suffered ice cold rain during the performance, and no one left or stopped the show. It is absolutely incredible to witness.

Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 in Almaty, Kazakhstan was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and a musical family. Been studying and training since he was 5. Still studies daily. He sings in many genres from opera to rap and in 14 languages. He speaks Kazakh, Russian fluently and pretty good English now and sone mandarin, plays seven instruments, directs, models and produces etc. despite his talent he is very much the humanitarian, respects everyone regardless of age, nationality or religion. Very intellectual, Very quiet off stage but goofy on occasion, but his stage presence is outstanding. He has sell out stadium concerts around the world. Will be 30 in may. Got his big international break internationally on a competition in China called I Am Singer . Try Stranger from New Wave 2021 which is in English. In the last few weeks, he has sung on huge productions with hundreds of people on Chinese festivals, done a jazzed up version of a traditional Kazakh folk song, sung opera with Placedo Domingo and brought out a blues song mv with a vampire theme. And that’s for starters!

When on the “I am singer” show in China he came in 2nd, a tidbit that gets forgotten is the show featured well known artists, but Dimash was the wildcard and was unknown at the time. Any of his performances from that show are a must see!!!

You’re correct - this is from the time of the pandemic. There’s a playlist on his channel with 16 or 17 wonderful videos - all performed without an audience (he flew all the way to Ukraine to record them for us!)

No, that wasn't his song. It's on of the most difficult French songs to sing that he sang in the Chinese competition, "I Am Singer"

He actually started in music school at the age of 5. His family recognized he had a gift and fortunately Kazakhstan had a music school available for children.

Dimash began his music studies at the age of five. He spent half a day on academics and the other half on music. He still does vocal training for 3-5 hours every day. I don't know of anyone who has dedicated and sacrificed so much for their dream. He said that since the age of two, he has never wanted to do anything but sing. He also stated that if you cut open his heart, you would see music. Please, I hope you watch Adagio, All By Myself, and Unforgettable Day from his appearance on The Singer 2017. He was only 22 and the youngest, non-professional, and first foreigner to be invited to compete in the Chinese singing competition show. He only spoke Kazakh, his native language, and Russian, and his first four songs were in French (SOS), Russian (Opera 2), English(The Show Must Go ON, and Mandarin (Autumn Strong), with only one week to learn each song before having to sing on stage.
