The singer from Saltatio Mortis is super friendly. I saw them in June at a festival. At the end of the show he came to shake people's hands, everyone was asking for selfie with him, and even though they were in a hurry (there was only one stage) and he kept saying he had to leave, he took all the pictures with those people ☺️. Very nice. And he seemed very happy with how people enjoyed the show 😊

That's my favourite version of Hypa Hypa. "My mother told me" from Saltatio Mortis is a great one, too! Saltatio Mortis, Sasha (the one you did before) and other medieval bands did a fun song together. It's called "Kaufmann und Maid"!

@@ThunderRooster Might add - Sasha is a German pop artist and did two songs as satire for late night berlin. One was "party party party" - a joke about the typical mallorca /drunk beerfest song and "Kaufmann and Maid", a joke about the - in Germany really liked - metal/medival bands. That kinda backfired, as both songs became viral and somehow even placed in the charts. Well - said medival bands can take a joke and make it even bigger (most bands are simply awesome and have a good sense of humour), so saltation mortis and some others from different bands took sacha and even made a real music vid based on his satire one. It's awesome.

It will never not be funny, seeing others react to Hypa Hypa and all its variants. But I gotta say you guys seem to have even more fund than the average, love it :D

They release a new album soon (i am freaking out a bit as they were my constant companions growing up) and now brought us their rendition of John Miles - Music (was my first love). The Video is a love letter to many big metal stars out there :)

For some background on Saltatio Mortis (its latin for "Dance of the Dead"). Germany has a big scene for folk metal. There are thousands of bands in that genre here. Some serious, some not so much (Feuerschwanz!!!!) Its another rabbit hole you could climb in ^^
