Hi Stanzi. This is your channel, so I think it's for you to decide how you want the order of songs you want to react to. Nightwish fans love every song, so they will keep listening. You mentioned the harmonies between Floor and Marko. Marko said in an interview that he was very pleased that Floor joined Nightwish, because from that point on he didn't have to hold back with his vocals and could sing full force as Floor's voice was very powerfull and there was no reason for him to hold back anymore. Agree with following the setlist, you can't go wrong - that concert was legendary. And you will see how Floor has made the old songs not written for her - to her own. Great concert. From 2015 (Wembley and Tampere) the songs were written to Floor - and by waiting, you can see the development Nightwish are going through - and still are. De er ikke færdige med at planlægge Europa turen endnu - sidste gang på Decades turen i 2018 kom de til Danmark på 2 gange - Copenhell og i Valby hallen. Fantastisk show. Interesting thing about "I want my Tears Back" at Wacken.. As you may know, Empuu "lead guitar" is a prankster.. He hatches a plan with Tory and about 2/3 the way thru the song he crosses across stage from right to left.. But as he goes across behind her this time, he shuts off Floor ear piece.. As she is dancing around during the song, almost like a new dance move, you can see a couple times, her reaching around behind her back looking for the switch to turn it back on.. After a couple of tries she gets it back on, but a little later he starts to come back across stage.. This time Floor spots him, and as he passes behind her she spins around keeping an eye on him the entire time as he passes behind her.. Most people only notice it, because at that moment, Empuu and Floor are very close to each other and it shows the contrast in their height as she towers over him.. Empuu is 5'4" and Floor is 6'- 6'1" without the heels..

Last Ride of The Day was Nightwish and as far as I know the whole Wacken Open Air 2013 happening final song... Otherwise - you give us joy by sharing your reactions with us, so you make your own choices and your own schedule 💝 Volume is in a good level...

With a glissando from that low to ultra high is very difficult to do without hearing her breaking point where she goes from chest voice to head voice. very impressive. No need to apologize for going back. We want to hear your comments and sometimes you need to hear it a second time to really appreciate what you heard. Great job lovely lady. Well done. the wacken show was magical. it honestly doesnt matter what order you listen to it. its all amazing.

At 9:43 you see Emppus on stage amp. It's used for three things. Feedback, as in this song. To keep his beer on. And to hold a bowl with an endless supply of guitar picks to throw out into the crowd.

14 Days to go until I see Nightwish at Birmingham, cannt wait.

Seconded - when I played that for my youngest son, he immediately went and reorganised his Christmas and birthday lists to make a fine start to what he is hoping will be a full collection of Ayreon - just from one song.

Tx for the great reaction. You mentioned how difficult it is to go down from high notes to low notes as a female vocalist and how easy it looks for Floor to do so. I can promise you in this song its not even close to how low she can go. Just wait till you get to yours an empty hope (wembley arena) where she shows death metal growling is not even a problem for her. :)

I agree but don't agree. If anything, The Islander actually introduces Troy to Nightwish. He played the uilleann pipes on that song, which came out on Dark Passion Play (2007). So he had been playing with the band for 7 years before becoming a permanent member of the band.

So you'll probably know by now that Floor lives in southern Sweden with her Swedish husband, Hannes van Dahl, the drummer of Sabaton, and their daughter Freya and a cat and two horses.. It's great you have found Nightwish again.

A glissando from the Valkyrie Goddess of Metal is always impressive. Together with her Brother, the Viking even more, singing in harmony.

Great reaction and great to see how you liked it :). That slide up by Floor actually reached F5. Her reach is at least E2b to F6 :). The big difference with Floor and the previous lead singers is that Tarja could only or only wanted to do operatic styles, Anette was pop only, and Floor can do anything and then some. Operatic, pop, rock, jazzy, gritty, grungy, sweet, whatever. Plus she really thinks about the emotions and feelings she wants to transmit, and adjust her styles and forms and pronunciations to do that. And she can belt any tone she can sing, which is truly amazing. And Marco and Floor do sound great together indeed :). Thank you for this, much appreciated! Warm regards, Wim

Great reaction as usual! Really, I love your NW reactions. As far as the Wacken set list, I do recommend you do em all, but as to order, I'm not sure it matters. I don't vote because I want you to do em all, so yep, I'm well pleased. As far as a big December Nightwish react run, well.. yeah, Merry Christmas to us! As long as you have the time and the energy, you damn sure have a captive audience

A great reaction. Starting with Wacken 2013 is good. It gives a nice insight into how they build their performance. I think once saw a comment saying "start with wacken 2013, then listen to the new songs from Wembley 2015 and then listen to the new songs from Tampere, Bueno Aeris. Although I do like to listen to songs uninterrupted it might be easier to comment on things as you go just so you don't forget ;-). Just don't stop every 20 seconds. That might also prevent getting demonetized on youtube.

With those two options, I would go with Ever Dream. It's been said to be a pair to Storytime, which makes sense when you hear it.

Either Everdream or start from the beginning of Wacken. You can't go wrong either way. I think you'll find that all the old Tarja songs have evolved somewhat since Tarja's firing. Many were retooled for Anette, several have been further tweaked by Floor. Some have new sections added, a couple have certain lyrics removed. There's even multiple different versions of the Floor-Era The Greatest Show On Earth - the longer studio version; the shorter, indoor version from Wembley; and the outdoor extravaganza in Tampere. I've seen it said a few times that Nightwish is a band that releases a 'rough draft' on the album, and polishes the songs on tour.

Did you know that Floor has her cover version of "Frozen" out on her own YT Channel? She did it for her daughter and of course it is metal.

Any order for me there all amazing if you want to suggest 2 then pic the one with most requests then the other the week after ,up to you .Don't change what your doing it makes me laugh .And that banshee wail is amazing .I read that Floor can hit 120db on stage must be a hard job for the sound techs and i wouldn't want to be standing right infront of a floor 120db belt that's enough to damage your ears lol.

for what i've noticed their songs adapt a little over time the live versions oftena little different from an album version, i dont feel like they're adjusted for floor so much as floor changes the vocal parts as she sees fit

Hello Constance! 🖤 Nice reaction from "romanticide" 🤘, and you have a nice new hair colour! I like it! If you will look the whole Wacken 2013 conzert you can't go wrong. But if someone would ask me i would say look some songs from Wacken, maybe "Ever dream", "song of myself",... , then some songs from Wembly 2015 people asked you to react, incl. The "poet and the pendulum", then some songs from Buenos Aires 2018 incl. "i want my tears back" (you asked from what show this song was) and then look the grandios show from Tampere (Tampere was an outdoor conzert, so they could do things free air they couldn't do indoor, i don't want to say more...) 2015 where you would see "the greatest show on earth" at the end, and this song you should see from this conzert if you ask me, when you see it you know why. In between maybe "the phantom of the opera" with Floor and Henk Poort from the 2019 Beste Zangers show, i told you last week i'm 100% sure you would love this version! Since a lot of people have already commented on which order to do the songs in - I’m going to try and answer the question you posted at the start of the video, about whether they have adapted the song to work better with Floor. Even though you asked specifically about Romanticide, I’ll also be talking about the general changes in all the “pre-Floor” songs. The short answer to your question is yes, they have adapted the songs to Floor’s abilities. _However,_ it’s not because Floor isn’t capable of singing in an operatic voice for a whole song. See, Floor doesn’t try and imitate Tarja - so rather than try and sing the songs the same way that Tarja did, Floor makes them her own, which is one of the reasons that many hardcore Tarja fans also really like Floor. Floor can sing in a operatic style very beautifully, but she can also sing in a lot of other styles, such as classical, rock, pop and metal - and she can even do death growls. So rather than stick to one style, she mixes it up and uses what ever style fits not only the song, but each individual part of the song - depending on what emotions and message need to be conveyed. You will probably generally find that many of the old Tarja songs will feel heavier to you, because Floor adds some rock and metal colours to the vocals if it fits the song, rather than just staying in the operatic voice throughout the song. Marco is now also more audible on many songs, because he doesn’t hold back with Floor, which he had to with Tarja so as to not overpower her voice - needles to say that that isn’t necessary with the powerhouse of a voice Floor has. Some songs have also had some minor new elements added after Floor joined the band. A couple of examples of this are; the last ~20 secs of amazing high-note vocals in Ghost Love Score were improvised by Floor and became permanent - and the insane duet slide a.k.a “the banshee wail” in Romanticide (I’d love to know who thought that up). When it comes to the songs originally sung by Anette, there are also a lot of changes. Annette’s vocal was a very middle-of-the-road pop style one, but Floor sings the “Anette songs” using all her aforementioned vocal abilities - making them very different. Additionally, the songs also just sound different, because Floor has so much more power in her voice than Anette had, even when she sings in her comfortable mid-range register. Tbh, most fans generally agree that in live performances, Anette’s songs sound better with Floor, because Anette just wasn’t that good live. The fact that Floor has a far wider range etc. than Anette, has also given rise to another change in Floor’s version of the songs. In several songs, parts of the lyrics were not sung by Anette, but prerecorded (I think by singers from the choir they already use?) - but since Floor _could_ sing them herself, she convinced Tuomas to let her do so. An example of this, is the very high-pitched operatic vocals in Storytime - having that beautiful crescendo being sung live in Floor’s beautiful voice, brings the songs to a whole other level, imo

hello fellow swede. i am also currently rediscover nightwish. reaction videos are so packed with information and fun to. asked my 17 yro daughter if she know about them.. she know several songs.. i think i been bitten by the nightwish bug

Loved you going back and replaying the kick ass part. You still have 4 or 5 concerts you can do, and a new CD just released back at the first of the year. The concert tour got canceled because of the virus. Nothing live from that CD, the song are GREAT. Can't wait to see their new CD songs live.

The atmosphere they crate on stage (removing all the musicality) is impressive. What a work for the production designer and pyro tech, I'm sure the band has a say in what they want but actually getting that across, impressive work there from the entire Nightwish team! So sad their tour was cancelled this year, not only for the fans but for those who's livelihood must have been affected by it - like their crew! I love the idea of them (Marko and Floor) having that exact conversion! 🤘🏾🤩

@@Stanzishouse Some of their crew have their own band: Crewish. They've made an album called "Unemployed blacksmiths", released this year, and consists of five Nghtwish covers. All profits will go to the Nightwish Tech crew.

If you liked Marko's voice in combination with Floor's you are in for a lot of enjoyment in the future, both in this concert and the others. Definitely start from the beginning with Dark Chest of Wonders, I Want my Tears Back is roughly in the middle of the setlist. I would be interested in other bands as well, specially Epica which is another symphonic metal band from the Netherlands with some connections to Nightwish (they toured together, Mark Jansen the founder worked with Floor in After Forever and Simone the lead singer is friends with both Floor and Tarja)

Doing setlist in order will work great. We all love the songs and the performances are superior at this waken concert. You can compile a list of other recommendations while doing that. Some reactors do each concert series and do a few others in between like Floors Beste Zangers performances, the Please Learn the setlist in 48 hours docu, and some side songs or appearances from Marco, Floor guest appearances with other bands, Tuomas with his Scrooge Mcduck projected, or with His wifes album he and Troy callobirated on etc.

To branch out into other symphonic metal you will be amazed with Floor Jansen's special appearance with Simone of Epica doing "Sancta Terra". I'm loving your reactions, as it is as close to reliving my own when I discovered Nightwish. Setlist order is great ("Dark Chest Of Wonders" comes first) - you can trust Nightwish to put the songs in a sensible order, and of course, sometimes they put them in that order for a specific reason. Just skip the ones you have already done. If you love Floor and Marko in harmonic duet and in a vocal duel, you have a real treat in store when Troy joins in and they make absolutely gorgeous three-part vocal harmonies. That up and down glissando harmonising between Floor and Marko really is very difficult vocally (I've sung close harmony to a pretty high standard, and nailing those can take HOURS, even in just one direction!). And of course, Marko is playing some pretty awesome bass on that Warwick of his at the same time! You seem to have noticed that the members of Nightwish do not display individual egos - any ego they have, if they have one at all, is a group ego, and everything serves the music. Some bands would be all about that incredible guitar solo from Emppu, but in this song, he just takes his turn as needed by the song flow, then returns to backing up the vocalists as soon as he's had a quick drink. Tuomas (who as composer and lyricist probably has more right than any to show an ego) is more often than not backing the others rather than using them as backing for him. Jukka, on drums, has the huge responsibility of synchronising the whole band to the backing track recorded by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, London's Metro Voices and Young Musicians Children's Choir, as he gets the click track in his in-ear monitor. It would sound terrible if they miscued, but I've never heard of it happening, even through all the complex time signature changes they use. As a background for how this concert came about, I can strongly recommend the documentary "Please Learn The Setlist In 48 Hours" kzread.info/dash/bejne/qJx52s2mh66zdbg.html - it has English subtitles for those of us not fortunate enough to know Finnish. It somehow neglects to mention that when Floor got THE call, she was at her sister Irene's wedding. 10 days after joining them as "touring stand-in" she had re-written the ending of the lead part to "Ghost Love Score" (which she remembered hearing when she had opened with them on an earlier tour) and got it back in the setlist for Austin TX. I think it has been in every setlist since and is a huge fan favourite and comfortably (in the Wacken version) the most reacted to performance on KZread. They only have clips of songs in the documentary of the tour, so it shouldn't spoil future reactions.

I like your personality. You stand out. When you said you don't need any more comments on "The Poet and the Pendulum", that you are well... INFORMED, I said the word out loud before you. I don't know why, but it made me laugh. I agree with most comments. If and when you are going to react to the whole Wacken concert, why not do it song by song from the start, of course skipping the ones you already have reacted to. Otherwise I would suggest "Ever Dream", but the song is in the early part of the concert anyway. If you want to listen to a part of the song twice, that is more than OK. Tarja "Paradise" at Hellfest Festival 2016 These two bands are from The Netherlands and the visiting vocalistare of course from Nightwish. Epica is interesting, I already saw a suggested song from Epica. Ayreon is also very intersting. Holland has many good symphonic metal bands. Sonata Actica, "White Pearl Black Oceans", Kemi Open Air 2009 melodic with strong vocals by Tony Kakko, a band from Finland. Amorphis, "Death Of A King" Official Video, heavy vocals by Tomi Joutsen, he has a deep growl and a beautiful velvety clean vocals. From Finland. Saw them live a month ago. Was impressed! Wintersun, "Sons of Winter and Stars", heavy. From Finland. On drums, Kai Hahto of Nightwish. (A little selfish list of suggestions from a Finnish Nightwish fan, but as the Finnish saying goes: "Who's going to raise the tail of the cat, if not the cat himself?"
