No studio tricks. Everyone in that band was amazing. They were just that good live, better than than in the studio.
Journey was the first band I ever say outside my Delaware State Fair... The Escape tour in Philly 1983.. I think Steve Perry was wearing this same outfit lol... Have to say.. they were amazing.. Went on to see them so many times after that.. have even taken my children to see the new Journey and they loved it too

Man, it’s crazy isn’t it? I know these machines can enhance for sure, but you should have to GIVE the machine something to go by, not just it do it for you. 🤷🏾♂️ I could have it wrong on that, but it seems so manufactured now. - Mr. Swift
One of the most impressive things about Classic Journey is that they sounded better LIVE than on a record or tape.

Everybody talks about how great Steve Perry is, and he is, but the whole band is amazing. This entire concert was right on spot. The timing is tight and there's not even a hint of somebody losing the beat or going off key. Every one of them is an accomplished musician.

My brother was at this very concert, when Mtv was there! I got him beat a couple of years later, when I saw Classic Journey for their 1983 Frontiers tour in Houston. Journey played 3 sold out shows, which my best friend and I saw 2 of the 3 shows. Best nights EVER!!! You guys should react to 'Mother Father and the song Escape' from this same concert! Escape was the opening song, it's full of energy and alot of GREATNESS! Mother Father, is what us Classic Journey fans call a 'Masterpiece' of a performance!! @@ItsMrandMrsSwift2017 ........ Fun Fact - Whenever Mtv (back in the day of Music Television) recorded concerts. It was an ACTUAL LIVE CONCERT!!!! My best friend and I couldn't WAIT for school to be over as we prepared ourselves for the concert!!! We were so excited!! I forgot to mention, that I also saw Journey again for their 1986 Raised On Radio tour in Houston. Which was sadly Steve Perry's last tour with Journey. And I saw Steve Perry's first solo tour in Ft Worth, Tx, in 1994!! I just love me some Steve Perry!!! You guys should also react to 'Why Can't This Night Go On Forever' if you haven't already!!
Journey was/is a very talented group. Steve Perry is an incomparable singer. He is the best singer and no one else comes close. He is amazing and he is the best front man ever! The songs they sing during their concerts sound like the studio recordings and Steve Perry belts it out live with only a microphone and no special effects. Truly an amazing band. ❤
