He is the best tenor to ever walk the earth. God truly blessed him. I am humbled by this man. He could have made millions in the secular world, but he sings for his Creator!!!!!

Whitney Houston said he had the best male voice she ever heard. That's quite a compliment. He Even sang a Whitney song..His song come to Jesus is AMAZING. His rendition of Unchained Melody is Awesome ❤

BRO, And David Phelps is the reason I'll stay Subscribed! This song isn't in a Hymnal yet, but it's the handiwork of David himself! David also has been a part of the Gaither Vocal Band. Bill and Gloria Gaither are Christian songwriters who have popular songs in many Church Hymnals; like "He Touched Me", and "Because He Lives". Shortly after 9-11 happened David was a part of a performance "live" of "Let Freedom Ring". This song is performed in other venues, but I think the one I consider the finest took place at NYC. David sings some secular music too. Like Whitney Houston's legendary song "I Have Nothing". David has a beautiful cover of this, and in Whitney's same key! There is no limit to David's voice and the genre of music. Gospel, Opera, Popular, he does it all. Listen to Nessum Dorma, Water, which is a duet with his oldest daughter, Maggie Beth, I Have Nothing, which Whitney Houston had sung. Nice video and good luck.

David is well known among the Christian music fans. He used to sing with the Gaither Vocal Band years ago and has gone solo. He is MY FAVORITE SINGER OF ALL TIME, Mitch Grassi running a close second. I think I like him because his voice is unique and distinguishable. 20 some years ago I was in a Christian book store during Christmas season looking for gifts for family and friends when I THOUGHT I heard him playing in the background. I stopped to listen and I recognized his voice immediately. Then, another song began to play and it was David again. I asked the cashiet if that was a CD (that long ago haha) by David Phelps and she replied yes. I wanted to purchase it but there weren't any left. So I asked to buy the demo in their CD player. I didn't care if it was used, I just wanted it. It was a Christmas album entitled Joy Joy is is spectacular. If you want some recommendations Id say your next reaction should be Let Freedom Ring performed at Carnegie Hall with the Gaither Vocal Band, Bill Gaither, Guy Penrod, and Russ Taff. You won't be disappointed. If you would like more recommendations by David or the Gaithers let me know and I'll be happy to list some as any other David Phelps fan would do. His voice is awe inspiring and grabs you by the heart strings. And O Holy Night by him in Alabama is the best rendition I've ever heard in life. Glad it moved you also

Walt Harrah wrote this song, but David sings the best version I’ve ever heard. But then David sings every song with 200% of himself. He believes every word he sings and puts his own twist on all songs. So many excellent songs to listen to! Every genre! Please check out his version of Nessun Dorma. He’s Alive, Just as I Am, End of the Beginning and Let Freedom Ring are some other great songs he sings either with GVB or solo.

Walt Harrah is the lyricist. David Phelps, with his soul searching vocals, is the perfect performer to deliver this song. Such a wonderful glimpse of the peace and hope awaiting all believers-when we leave this dark and sinful world behind-and bask in the light of the risen Lamb.

The list goes on and in, but his Contemporary Christian Music is other Earthly. Pop, try "UNCHAINED MELODY ". His duets with Sandi Patti, his daughter Mary Beth Phelps, Lana Ranahan, his sister and "The Prayer" with Lauren Tally are all great. His time with the Gaither Vocal Band is great. He is maybe the best tenor on earth right now
