Villain is so interesting I'm still processing it. You may or may not have noticed, Villain was unfortunately missing a member as our main vocal Ella is on a health hiatus. I'm so proud of all of the girls and happy they got a song that suits their voices, I can't wait to listen to the album but I wanted to watch this first 🤣 Thanks for giving them a 2nd chance! Part of the issue when they debuted was everyone compared them to DC because they have a dark concept, but Pixy's actual storyline and concept is actually very different from DC & unique to them, but I can see why people drew similarities from just the MV/song. I'll definitely be requesting their performance MVs for The Moon and Call Me at some point 👁👁

Pixy is a really very talented group. Their music also has its own substance. The hidden meanings throughout the debut songs about fairy tales and wings are really cool. Hope the group will be known more.

I'm glad you gave them another chance. Since I first discovered them during Addicted era and my first comeback for them was Bewitched, I was spoiled in that sense. I love how they switched up sounds and concepts during Bewitched era, much like you said too. This new sound fits them perfectly. Their recent comeback blew me away again as well. Pixy is definitely a group to look out for. They might be from a small, unknown company but the effort and even money they put into them is astonishing. The production quality of their mvs has been steadily increasing and their chereos are top tier! Those formations really are no joke. Their talent and dedication are next level, especially for such a small group. Our order for their title tracks is the same, actually. Bewitched still blows me away till this very day. Always love coming back to that song and mv. Their b-sides are spectacular too. I'd love if you could check them out and react to them in the future. 😊🙏🏽

I knew you'd like them! Their production (both music and mv) is INSANE given how nugu they are. I'd disagree on the DC comparison tho because the song sounds nothing like a DC song imo, so I don't think it's fair to compare the two just because it's a dark/horror concept. Thanks for the reaction!

I don't mean to be argumentative, but... The thing is most people don't compare Pixy to DC musically. They obviously have a different sound. What they do compare is, as you said, the dark / horror concept, which is exactly what Fifi did in this video. As DC basically pioneered horror concepts for gg's, it's just natural for people to compare Pixy to them because they have similar concepts. Like I said, it's natural. People tend to relate new things to things they are familiar with (Hmmm, tastes like chicken). It makes the new thing, in their mind, a tad more familiar. It's also not an insult. Being compared to DC is not a bad thing. Considering that most, if not all the members of Pixy look up to and are fans of DC, they probably consider it a compliment. Again, I'm not trying to start an argument here. I'm just trying to clear things up.

@@keithcraig506 I've been following Pixy since debut and I've seen so many people saying Pixy is "copying" them just bc they're doing a horror concept. And I've alao seen people comparing them musically. It would be fine if people just compared something new to what they're already familiar with, but they're some acting like only DC can do that concept just bc they did it first. And their concept/lore isn't even similar aside the fact that it's dark/horror. Idk if you were there, but when Wings came out literally every other comment was talking about DC, and I think that's pretty disrespectful towards a group that just debuted and everyone is like it "sounds like DC". People (DC stans) act like DC owns the horror concept, like you don't see people bringing up Blackpink every time a group does girl crush. No hate to DC, they were the first group I ever ulted, but this is just my experience with the fandom.

@@myey5807 Just so you know where I'm coming from. I've also been following Pixy since Wings dropped. They are, in fact, at the top of my favorite group list, second only to DC. During my Pixy journey, I've watched a TON of reactions. I've also read a ton of comments. Obviously I haven't read them all because, well, who has time for that? I don't recall anyone comparing Pixy to Dreamcatcher musically. It's always about the concept. Now, I'm not saying it has never happened. Like I said, I haven't read all the comments. I also may have come across the odd "they're copying" comment but I probably just wrote it off as ridiculous and moved on. The point here is that if there were any allegations of Pixy copying DC musically they were so few and far between that I don't even remember them. For the record, I stay the hell away from Twitter and most other social media platforms related to kpop. There's far too much drama and trolling going on. So I can't really say if any of this happens on Twitter (etc) or not. If it does, I wouldn't take it too seriously because, like I said, drama and trolling. As for reacters, yes, most will almost immediately and invariably go to the DC comparison when it comes to Pixy, but only when it comes to concept. You're right, DC does not 'own' the dark girl group concept. But they were the first to fully embrace it and stick with it throughout their career. As a result people naturally associate the dark gg concept with DC. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just saying my experience has been different from yours. Maybe you hang on Twitter more than I do. Maybe you read far more comments than I do. Maybe you're a little more sensitive to those types of comments and they stick in your brain more than they do in mine. No one immediately compares all new girl crush groups with Blackpink because BP wasn't the first girl crush group. There has also been a ton of girl crush groups throughout the years. Dark girl group concepts are very rare. We could probably count on one hand how many there are. And, as the pioneers of the concept, DC is usually the go to when making a comparison. Making a comparison is not, in and of itself, disrespectful. It's all a matter of context and how the comparison is delivered. There's also a different between comparing a group to another group and claiming a group is 'copying' another group. To say that "this song has a similar vibe to / reminds me of that song", or "This group has a similar concept to that group" is not an insult. It's an observation. In some cases it could even be considered a compliment. As I said earlier, Pixy probably does consider it a compliment because most, if not all, of the group think very highly of Dreamcatcher. Of course if someone says something like "This group sucks compared to that group", or something similar, now that is as an insult.

Pixy aren’t a girl crush concept, girl crush is specifically a confident, girl empowerment vibe. They are more of a Dark Fantasy concept (at least in the beginning and now they are moving to Cyberpunk). I feel like sometimes we talk about concepts like there is only cutesy and girl crush, but there are a plethora of other concepts as well. What I like about Pixy is that they have shown a tremendous amount of growth in a short amount of time and have been able to slowly but surely develop a sound and concept that works for them. The debut wasn’t perfect, but everyone starts somewhere and I’m glad to see where they are now.

Completely respect your opinion on 'Wings' and your reasons for not really feeling it. For me your reasons for not liking it are sort of my reasons for liking it. There really isn't a Kpop group that I don't like, but Dreamcatcher is for sure my number 1. I love it when groups stray from the norm and go into these dark and gritty concepts and I feel that, by supporting groups like that, it's indirectly supporting Dreamcatcher whose sounds and concepts tend to be stifled in this industry and aren't popular amongst the GP. Not to mention I just like to support as many Nugu groups as possible, since many don't have the rare success story of Dreamcatcher's and they simply fade away and silently disband after a few comebacks. I felt that Pixy's debut also still felt like it's own thing, despite the similarities, so I still enjoyed it quite a bit. I also agree that their songs and style are getting better with each comeback, and they're really starting to come into their own. Anyway, ramble over, really glad you checked em' out! You should also check out their 'Call Me' performance if you want to see something bubbly, cute, and catchy from them as well as the performance video for 'The Moon' (I think you might like that song even more than 'Bewitched' tbh).

Oh one more thing the main vocalist ella who is the one who hits highnotes she is a former member of cherry bullet she was the leader and main vocalist but left i think because they mistreated her she is also on hiatus rn she isnt in villain

I have a feeling you'd like the B-Sides alot more! (Specifically the Bravery album) so that's a little recommendation if you want to try them out!

Omggg i wasn't expecting this video!!!! Pixy are definitely one of my favourite groups in all of kpop, they're truly talented and they even have a plethora of amazing bsides

PIXY has a lot of potential. They just need to polish their sound because personally, their earlier title tracks sound messy (but I love "Let Me Know" though). I feel like "Bewitched" is the era where they finally mastered their sound, and hands down, it's one of the best k-pop songs. And though I didn't like "Villain" a lot, I'm still glad that it's a bit closer to Bewitched than their previous tracks.

And i see the evolution of Pixy, their agency Allart did a greatjob to improve their budget in Pixy's mv in each comeback and Addicted's mv is a premium mv like Bewitched's mv and their agency increased their budget in just 1 year with the released of their debut Wings, their 1rst comeback Let me know and 2nd comeback was so impressed in term of budget's mv, their outfit, their make-up and then i watched Bewitched's mv! Addicted has already impressed me but Bewitched's choreo wow so hard, so new for a girlsband, so gorgeous outfit and so hard work in Bewitched with voice effect and sounds effects then they released moonlight's mv in their mini album Temptation with addicted title track, Moonlight is a b-side of this album and they released a mv for this b-side but all in animation sounds retro futuristic like the song, moonlight is so a good song and the mv animation suits it so much! Then they released Stay with me's mv b-side a fansong ballad but this song and this mv touched my heart, they showed Ella in Piano, their dance practice, Lola being injured in her leg and showed it, Dia crying and the others members recomfort her specially Ella, it's such a cheerful, warmful song! Then i became a huge fan of Pixy and i rewatched Wings but the dance practice with the intro dance! The intro dance is so hard and beautiful, it's a contempory dance then begins Wings's choreo and we can see the details of the dance and Wings is such a hard choreo! Let me know is also hard to wear a member by their legs and shoes only lol and Addicted's choreo is such masculine that we can't see in girlsband's choreo, so new, fresh and hard! Then Bewitched's choreo is also an hard choreo specially when they have to put their head on the floor, look at the camera, stayed this position and just move their arm, so hard movement! I'm not a dreamcatcher's fan, i'm a pixy's fan!

Addicted got me Into pixy like a month or two ago, but I can’t disagree that bewitched is their most musically interesting while being easy to listen to, and for that reason I might have to call it their best title track, but I personally listen to addicted a lot more

I think “Call Me” might be your vibe, it’s more cutesy and RnB vibes. The MV is nowhere near as good as any of these, but it was a gift for the fans who wanted to see them try a cute concept and it’s so good!

This was a special mv they released where they actually went for a more lighter concept, it was an RnB song and many fans were delighted by how well they suited the image too. And you're absolutely right about the ad libs! PIXY is one of the girl groups I've enjoyed watching develop since their debut. Seeing your reaction and how much you like the newer sounds made me appreciate their growth even more. Its really cool.

I am so glad you gave Pixy another chance. The debut I think it was a little divisive, people liked it or they did not. But for girl groups I think Pixy does something so interesting with a strong concept and am constantly impressed. I would highly highly recommend The Moon! The choreo is sickkk and the song so good.

They also have a special single with a cute concept called call me ! And would recommend a bside called the moon it has a special clip and the choreo is insane

No disrespect to big groups, but all the songs I vibe to, all come from small/med companies. This track is so well mixed. And I don't even usually listen to dubstep.

I stan DC. I only ever bought their albums and never other groups'. My mind was blown when I heard Bewitched. It was so good, as perfect as a kpop song can be for me. So I bought their Temptation album just to support them cause I really felt it would be a waste if they disband. I loved their unique dark style and sound Please also react to their Bewitched dance practice. The choreo is also very unique and fits the song well

I liked Natural and Greetings the most so far in Reborn. I also really liked their ballad Still With Me from their previous album. Also, you mentioned you're more into cute and bubbly pop. I recommend you to listen to laboum. Not all their songs are of those genres but they have a consistent light sound that's easy and very pleasing to the ears. They're one of the girl groups from 3rd gen that are still standing strong until now. They debuted the same year as red velvet

LOVE YOUR REACTION FIFI 😭❤️ We all knew Bewitched would blow you away, it's such an incredible song and it gets better with every listen 🥰👍🏼 It became one of my all-time favorite kpop songs and even though I've been listening to it nearly every single day, I still can't get enough of this song 🥴 Tbh, when I first heard Wings I was beyond overwhelmed but I gave it a second chance while listening to the Temptation album and I actually started liking it. Same thing happened with Let Me Know, I was so sure I would never listen to this song again because I didn't vibe with it (not talking about the pre-chorus, that was actually the reason why I even checked it out in the first place) but after listening to it again I also started liking it. 🤭 Hoping for Ella to recover and join the other girls again because her voice is heavenly and we all neeeeed to hear her go off again 💕

I’m so glad you gave them a second chance! I think the spooky/witchy/dark fantasy vibe they were going for at the start was probably meant to catch Dreamcatcher fans who wanted More Like That? It certainly worked on me. But they’ve grown and developed their own unique sound, and I love them even more now. All the best to leader Ella - I hope she can participate in the next comeback

Oh, right! PIXY did a special one-off song in December 2021 that was a drastic departure from their usual spooky/witchy vibe. If you like the cute stuff, you'll like PIXY's Call Me, December 14, 2021.

Their concept is actually a dark concept. It’s not so much girl crush because they’re missing that empowerment. The tone of their concept is chilling and oppressive.

Bewitched is my fav :) I have liked all their songs, but Bewitched was on repeat.

You should check out their single that came out at Christmas - Call Me - a complete 180 and much more on the cute side. Bit of an anomaly in their discography but a fun song nonetheless. There are also videos for the b-sides The Moon (from the first mini album) and Moonlight (from the second).

Their B-sides from Bravery and Temptation are soooo good, I have not yet listened to the new ones tho

YES I will just write this before watching: I love that you finally react to PIXY. I was more excited after listening to Villain than I was after DC's Maison, and they (DC) are my ults so yeah, I love Pixy. EDIT: After watching, I am glad you liked them even though you like bubblegum style (which I almost never like, the song has to be REALLY good, let's say for me 'Red Flavor' or 'Hula Hoop'). Also you mentioned the choreo a lot and YES, when I want to see great choreo with interesting details and great formations I often go watch their dance practices. Even though it's 'Wings', I really recommend you to watch their dance practice, the intro alone is so good! I also recommend you listen to "The Moon" next. I actually am with you concerning Wings, while I do really like it, music wise it kinda is their most 'uninteresting' song.

And there was Purple Kiss who debuted before Pixy who has a dark concept too, before there is just Dreamcatcher with dark concept but i'm glad more girlsband has more dark concept now and i'm a Pixy's fan since Addicted was released, so fresh, new and Lola and Saetbyeol has rap FLOW and deep voice, that is what is missing in other rapper girlsband

So glad to see you get them a fair shot and ended up liking them. Considering your likes and dislikes, you're going to love their b-sides. It's more of the mid tempo, sultry dark pop rather than the in your face experimental girl crush-horror hybrid. Also they did a fun bubblegum release with Call Me. A complete flip! I feel if you dig more you will like them even more :)

omg I missed watching ur reactions fifi I just didn’t know any of the artists u were doing recently but this is so exciting that I did pixy and u LIKED THEM!!!! Honestly watching this vid was great cause it really condensed their musical journey perfectly and it just reminds me how far they were able to come in developing their own sound, aesthetic style and choreo. Definitely wings was the like messiest track , a bit too much rapping and not enough carrying us through the instrumentals, but I’ve loved them the whole time and I’m so happy they’re not trying to mimic any other groups now really, they’re their own brand of Weird and Fucked Up and Cool…… as everyone else has been saying, I think you’d love their b-sides , the ones from reborn are good at first listen but some of the ones off bravery and temptation are soooo killer and they have special videos for the best ones !!!! Moonlight and The Moon are just superb, coincidentally enough

I'm kinda like you, I didn't like their first title tracks even though their bsides were amazing, but I was intrigued by them and they had crazy stage presence for just debuted rookies, so I stuck around and I'm glad I did because I'm now obsessed with villain and the whole reborn album

My favorite singles are Bewitched and Addicted. I’m also loving Villain a lot rn too. If I keep listening to it more it might even surpass addicted lol. Also I love their choreo it’s so cool to watch
