I can't believe whoever put these "funniest" moments together cut out the funniest part of the scene at 9:22 where George slides into the room dancing to Lionel's music. As a Jeffersons fan from way back, these moments, while funny, are not the funniest from the show. The show was at its funniest when Mother Jefferson was on. My favorite episode is the one where George's old Navy buddy (played by Lou Gosset) hits on Louise.

After watching several of your reaction videos, I've decided to subscribe. I enjoy listening to you kids talking about the shows we old people loved so much. The Seventies left us with some of the best tv ever produced. Very few of today's shows can compare. I love to see young people enjoying themselves and showing understanding that these shows took place in such different times. Now, it seems that so many people only want to find ways to be offended. "All in the Family" could never be shown today. It's truly a pity because Archie Bunker, George Jefferson and other characters opened up dialogs that were so important. Thanks for all the great memories you're bringing up for all the young people of the Seventies who truly loved the comedies of the times. I would like to suggest that you watch and react to at least one silent movie. "Nosferatu" comes to mind.(I wasn't around yet, but thanks to the internet, I can enjoy what was considered entertainment to the really old people.) Those were made even BEFORE the Thirties❤

So, I watched all these shows and one thing you have to realize is that these shows are not per say racist, but about race. If you notice in All in the Family whenever Archie says something racist there is always a counter point of view. It is not just a show about a character saying a bunch of racist things for no reason. It was trying to show both sides of the race issue and yes being a comedy show they took it over the top. That is called ratings and money. Other shows of this time also had their own message done in the comedy style and always over the edge. Married with Children wasn't about race, but more about male chauvinism. That would be Al. But, in order to understand some of the jokes like what he says about Marcy, you would have to watch the shows all the way through. This was one of my favorites and the show lasted a very long time. And, if you think Al is bad, wait till you see his children. Tooo funny.

That was NOT typical of the Jeffersons. As someone else said, George was the black Archie Bunker. He was quite racist and quite rude to everyone, thinking he was better than them. His funniest moments were probably with Florence, the live in maid. But George's favorite word for white people was "honky". He said it all the time.

Um.. I'm not sure that being stuck in the 70s equates permission to being racist... These shows really were a/the catalyst for opening up the dialog to get us where we are today. Giving us a thought for reflection and good laugh along the way... Satirical Comedy based on the Serious Social Issues of the Days. ✌❤🙏

2:23 Of course, the animal cookies joke is a very slight re-working of the old joke from "Sanford And Son" about gorilla cookies. It might be a comedian/writer Paul Mooney or a Richard Pryor joke, who both worked for the Foxx show. Paul also wrote for Richard's stage act, "In Living Color", "SNL", "Chappelle's Show", "Good Times") I think I've seen the joke used a third place too.
