Nice reaction🤗 The song is sung in Norwegian, except for the last part in acapella which is in Old Norse😊 “Helvegen” (path/road to Hel) amongst other songs from Einar Selvik (vocalist/songwriter) are played in the Vikings series. In one scene you can see Einar standing on land singing “Helvegen” while the vikings are sailing off to England 😍 In Norse mythology, Hel is an underground realm of the dead where it was believed that most people ended up when they died. In Norse cosmology, north is the direction towards cold and death. It is therefore understandable that Hel is cold and intractable, and that the road there leads "north and down". Hel is also the name of the ruler of the underworld. She is motherly and terrifying, and her skin is part blue-black like that of a corpse and part human-colored. She is very greedy and does not easily give up the dead who end up with her. In the time of the Norse Pagans in Norway they had a tradition of singing Death Songs. These songs would talk of all the good and wonderful things the person who was dying had done in their lives. These songs would be sung to help the dying to cross over the resounding bridge and on into the afterlife. It was also a way of insuring that the person's memory would never die. Sadly with the introduction of Christianity this tradition was lost.

Cool reaction. I love starting part with Aurora with transition into Aurora singer voice. Rest of the song is all about beautiful harmonies. Aurora voice adds a lot of ethereal - love it. Also like Viking vibe and the moral of the song (of course especially in perspective of Viking times).
