Each arc of Jojo fallows the a generation of the Joestar family bloodline so Part 1 takes place in the late 1889 and Part 2 takes place in 1938, Part 3 in 1989, Part 4 in 1999, Part 5 in 2003 and Part 6 is in 2011 you know etcetera etcetera

The creator of JoJo is really into American music and fashion, so the crazy outfits stem from that, and the later parts have a ton of music references that needed to be changed outside Japan due to copywrite laws (one of the funniest is 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap' being changed to 'Filthy Acts At A Reasonable Price')

Now you see, JoJo has another son (which is complicated) and he is GioGio, and Jojo actually has a daughter Jojoh. Also, there's JoJo and Jo(jo) in another universe but we don't talk about them

Literally, I've watched almost a 100 of this type of videos of jojo's and I enjoy them every time. It's like showing your kids something you like and see that they like that too.

In the first few seconds of the first opening, you see a series of manga panels flashing across the screen. If you watch it slowly, you see that they are the different members of the Joestar family who are the protagonists from future parts. The director of the anime said in an interview that they did this as a sort of promise to the fans that they will try to animate the whole series eventually. 10 years after the debut of the anime, all of those protagonists have now had their stories animated. The first character to appear in those panels from op 1, Jolyne, has her story arc being animated right now. The protagonists from parts 7 & 8 were not included in the first opening because those parts take place in a separate continuity. (However I'm sure we will see them get anime adaptations eventually).

always amazed by how deep the Jojo OPs go, if you ever watch through or react to Jojo, after you catch up, look up "Whats in an OP" by Mother's Basement, its super spoilers if you arent caught up to at least part 4, but once you are, damn, these openings have way more to them than you imagine

you remember them dancing on a boat? oh shit you know the torture dance!

I've heard people call Abbacchio Sephiroth but I've never heard anyone call him Jesus

Every part is a different jojo in the family ranging from 1880s - 2011 Six in the main universe 2 in another

What I love about these openings are the subtle details that you only realize after watching the series (as someone else mentioned, "Whats in an OP" by Mothers Basement is a great video to watch after the series). Also, any chance of a reaction to the openings for Mob Psycho? The Mob Psycho openings hit hard.

Just so you know, this show focuses on the adventures of a family with psionic powers, with the protag being from different generations. Example: First season's protagonist is the grandfather of the season 2 protagonist.

Also maybe you don't know this but while the anime started in 2012 and is currently airing Part 6, the original Manga actually started in 1987 and is currently.. doing nothing, part 8, just finished last year and we are waiting for part 9 to start and probably take another 11 years to finish, but it's happening. So that's why people always say "IS THAT A JOJO REFERENCE?!" because alot of things have actually been inspired by JoJo, like Street Fighter, Persona, Yu-Gi-Oh, Final Fantasy, even more than that.

@@castx +1 view . and yea many many things are a jojo reference. most things you end up thinking "hey thats like _____" it probably was jojo first. on the flip side the show/manga has western music references littered on every page. but jojo was the first for a lot of "tropes" too, and that ends up making it seem very trope heavy but like.... they werent tropes back then lol. example: i believe jojo is known for having the first ever yandere in manga, or at least very close to the first

Ok! I saw that you have a lot of questions, so I try to answer them with my not too perfect english gramar! That guy, who "you have seen before" at p 3 opening is Jotaro. Also stands only appear after part 3. And the old guy with the purple wine stand is the same from the part 2 intro who you really like. His name is Joseph. And the Jojo is whole generation. Thats a nickname. The main characters are from the Joestar family and they usually have a name with with J. Like Jonathan, Joseph, Josuke, Johnny etc. And thats a nickname for 'em. Ask if ya want to know more. Update: The guys from the part 4 openings are students, thats why they are wearing school uniforms. The intro reverse at the last part 4 intro is representing the abillity of the main villain. The villain is the guy who shows a tumb like he is exploding something (16:38). He actually has the abillity to turn tings into bombs and this move is how he detonates them. He is a serial killer who explodes girls only leaving their hands, then he keeps the hand at himself like his GF (weird ik). In part 5 intro the guy who looks like Dio is Dio's son btw. And in the last intro the girl with the star on her shoulder is Jotaro's daughter who is in prison in the whole part 5. And the discs are also important in this part. Parts 1 and 2 (Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency) make up the first season of the anime. It follows the legacy of the Hamon warriors, vampire hunters that harness the power of sunlight itself, being passed down to Jonathan Joestar and then his grandson Joseph Joestar. Jonathan must defeat his evil vampire brother Dio Brando while Joseph must defeat the creators of vampire kind, the Pillar Men. Then we get to Stands (aka Phantom Hamon) in part 3 onwards. We have Joseph’s grandson Jotaro Kujo and his Stand, Star Platinum, battling a resurrected DIO and his Stand, The World, in Part 3: Stardust Crusaders. Part 4, Diamond is Unbreakable, with Joseph’s long-lost teenage son Josuke Higashikata and his Stand, Crazy Diamond. Part 5, Golden Wind, has us following Giorno Giovanna, the son of DIO, who wields the Stand called Gold Experience. And part 6 of the anime is Stone Ocean, about Jotaro’s adult daughter Jolyne Kujo and her Stand, Stone Free. i heavily recommend watching jjba, you got *a lot* wrong, though there was a few right things. 1. In JJBA, there are these things called "Parts" Each season is its own part, except, Part 3 has 2 seasons. Sometimes, parts will have multiple opening songs, but 2. Each "Part" has a different cast, of which, DIO is the main villain of part 1 and 3. 3. While the protagonists are different each part, they're all part of the same family tree (Except for Giorno, in part 5, the one that looks like DIO. This is because he is DIO's son.) 4. Stands do not exist in JJBA up until part 3. 5. Stairs have no real significance in JJBA. 6. Some people have "Stands", those people are called Stand Users. Stands are these ghost spirit things that stand users can summon at will, although, stand users can only have one stand. Each stand has a different ability, such as punching things really hard, stopping time, making things float, you name it.
