One way to tell Germany from Austria is that in Austria they seem to use "Gasse" for most normal streets and reserve "Strasse" for larger ones, such as avenues and so on. That's not usually the case in Germany, where "Gasse" tends to be used only for very small streets (alleys): in the video, you can see "Davidgasse", "Knöllgasse", etc. Something similar happens in Moscow, where "переулок" is a common designation for many streets in Moscow, whereas in Saint Petersburg they use "улица" unless the street is really small.

I can tell Germany from Austria by the quality of the picture. Austria is very HDR, and Germany is kinda gloomy. And the blurred houses, of course. And for St.Petersburg/Moscow I look for шаурма or шаверма kiosks. If it's шаверма, it's St.Petersburg, if it's шаурма, it's elsewhere. If it's hard to find, it's Moscow.

Austria has up to gen 4 while germany is still gen 2 with lots of blurred stuff and the frame is very wide (take a very far step when going to another frame if u know)

For me that round was super easy because of the Vienna public transport sign

I really got into geoguesser for a while. They do tend to use a limited number of countries so it gets easier as the same ones keep cropping up. If it´s Latin America look out for yellow number plates on the cars. That´s Colombia. I did get a streak of 184 once. Took me a while.

Eles colocam legenda em inglês E no idioma que eles tão falando, e ajuda muito a ver como o povo fala realmente - com erros gramaticais e tudo. Eu ainda não cheguei a ver nenhum idioma com outro código - japonês, hindi, russo, etc - então não sem como ajudar com esse subset de línguas, mas espero que a recomendação ajude 🤙

it's generic but I'd say use hello talk / tandem if you want to speak to natives. the problem is most people want to speak english to you, so get a headstart and soeak your target language. edit: tandem is safer, it only shows you ppl in your age group. hello talk can have some... unsavoury characters.
