One of my friends who collected cards past away a few years ago. His mom gave me what she could find of his collection. It wasn't much but he did have some Topps cards. So they always remind me of him.

I have an oddly similar occurrence.....freaky.

I remember my step sister moving in and giving me her whole collection of these and being soooo confused. I was only used to seeing the WoC set. I thought these were so weird. Cool seeing you open them!

OMG, I haven't seen TOPP packs in a very very long time.

I always thought the Topps animated series ones weren't REAL cards so I thought they were for little kids, unlike the very mature regular game cards😂

Even the Charizard card in Topps can be really expensive! The PSA 10 card is going for $4,000.

Remember my dad buying me a "pokemon" ......( "deck of cards" ) then getting home to prove to him that they were indeed a deck of 52 playing cards lol.

This may sound weird but I can remember the smell of these lol it was always very strong lol and even back then they stuck together lol

that was cool haven't see those packs since i was a kid love to see you open some more of them to get the clear cards

Man I loved Pokémon when I was younger. I watch these videos and just remember all the fun I had with the games and cards

I loved these Topps cards! So nostalgic for me. I wish I could travel back in time and buy all the booster boxes for every set! Yes, I would use a time machine to get Pokemon cards! Also love the Vaporeon card where he's partially turned into water!

Really cool, I remember having some of those growing up. Not my favorites compared to the actual cards but still awesome artwork. WE NEED MORE UNBROKEN BONDS

For future reference, if you ever have a vintage card pack that has cards stick on each other, put the whole bunch of cards in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds and that would do the trick to separate the cards without damaging them.

I opened a full booster box of series 2 a few years ago (I was around 13). We managed to find a new box for about 30 dollars off Amazon. I still have them in a binder (I've always loved them more than the TCG due to my love of the anime).

I know this is a late comment but today my friend just sold me all of her tops Pokemon cards. That are the year 2000. A bunch of them are pictures of Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu, and a bunch of the original 150 Pokemon. A bunch of foils and they're in all pretty good shape.

Leonhart. My son found my Topps Series 1 in a box from 20 years ago. It got him hooked and now we open packs together all the time. We are going for a master set of Cosmic Eclipse and my boy pulled a Rainbow Charizard & Braixen GX from a Walmart promo blister pack.I'm chasing the series 1 cards.
