This is a song about the World War I Italian-Austrian front in the Dolomite Mountains. "White Friday" was December 13, 1916, which was actually a Wednesday when Italians fired artillery into the snow above Austrian troops at Mt. Marmolada, "Blood Mountain" which buried over 270 soldiers. The Austrians did the same and by the time they were done over 2,000 soldiers and civilians had died. The snow and ice was so deep that most of the bodies were never recovered and are there to this day. Welcome to the Sabaton Army, there is more good music and history where this came from.

To Hell and Back is another great song and video to check out from Sabaton. Both tell a powerful story about the most decorated American veteran of WW2 and his battle with PTSD.

A portion of that song is actually from the poem The Crosses Grow on Anzio written by Audie Murphy himself.

Many of the bodies both austro - Hungarian and Italian from the alpine front in ww1 were never recovered and are even used as markers similar to Mt.everest if I remember correctly only about 40 of the roughly 300 bodies have been recovered

Blood mountain refers to Col di Lana in the Italian Dolomites. Due to the massive amounts of deaths, the Italians refered to it as Col di Sangue, meaning Blood Mountain.

As the comments have already said, these songs are based on true events. Since it’s the Christmas season officially I would do The Christmas Truce if I was you! Awesome song and it’s based on a true event where during WW1 I believe each side stopped fighting for one day and enjoyed Christmas together. It would be a perfect song to do for the Christmas season! Awesome video and keep up the good work. Very entertaining!

It wasnt just for one day that they stopped fighting, in some places it was but in other places the unofficial truce lasted almost all the way to new years

Blood Mountain in this song refers to Col di Lana which is a peak of the Dolomites. Very heavy fighting took place there in WW1
