The group originally made a song called The Drug In Me Is You, same lyrics, different beat, over 10 years ago. This was a thank you to his fans for sticking around for so long and "reimagined" the song that made them so popular originally

Just so you know you never have to pause for copyright Ronnie Radke the lead singer owns all the rights to everything they release and he's said himself he will never ever copyright claim his music, plus he loves reaction videos he actually reacts to reactions of his music on his twitch all the time

@@itsgursaiv Frosty's right. This and Revamped are both remakes from the same album. I remember listening to the original songs back in the day. If you watch the original songs and the remakes back to back, you'll be blown away by the differences.

The Drug In Me Is You was originally done 10 yrs before this reimagined one. You should watch the original to see how much he's grown. Don't get me wrong the original is fire 🔥 too

Nice reaction. The piano solo in the middle is the same notes as the guitar solo in the original song. He really makes you feel it. This version is the same words but nearly a total different meaning just based on the version.

Literally, there's nothing Ronnie can't sing, genre is just a label. Never let anyone label you, box you in.

So actually...this song isn't even about a woman. The girl in the video is a little easter egg for his fans. She's the girl who was on their album cover when the original song came out. Ronnie wrote this song while looking at himself in a mirror. He was in prison and kicking an addiction to heroin. He was, of course, in an awful situation and feeling really down. He was in prison for a parole violation, but it was common thought that he was in there for something far worse. He was coming off drugs. He had been kicked out of his band because he wouldn't be able to tour with them. They replaced him with a friend and he felt horrifically betrayed. So he had a lot of things to be miserable about. But instead of rolling over and giving up, he became very focused. He ended up writing an entire album while he was in there, most of which was a huge Eff You to his previous band Escape the Fate. He went about building a new band, which he started the moment he got out of prison. If you love how theatrical this version of the song is, you're going to want to check out his other reimagined song. It's called I'm not a Vampire Revamped. It's also a very theatrical style. The video is even better than this one. I'd suggest checking out the original song first just so you can see the differences, though. Falling In Reverse is originally a punk/metal band, but Ronnie just isn't content to stay within one genre. As the years went on, the music went from punk/metal to pop/punk to rock, rap, and everything inbetween. And he absolutely loves to mix genres within songs.

I sent this to them! Basically what I was thinking when I had a tough day. Basically what I sometimes experience what I’m dealing with my life. I guess that Ronnie connected with the lyrics because he had some issues with drugs.

Idk if someone said it already, but Ronnie, who writes all his songs himself, supposedly wrote the original staring at his own reflection in a mirror while he was in prison. He had/still has issues within himself that he battles everyday that this song touches on. "The drug in me is you" is basically himself in the reflection of the mirror. Please do more FIR they are awesome!! :)

Going off what he said "the drug in me is you" and that he's high off misery, sounds to me like he has a very unbalanced and almost dependent relationship with this woman, to where she's his "drug", meaning he needs her..but given the nature of who she is as a person, ultimately brings him misery..and I think what proves that she's the one who's causing this pain in him..is that in the video she is being depicted/shown in what looks to be a wedding dress, holding flowers..which gives me the impression that she's "all in" and likes the relationships she has with him..dispite how it affects him. You hit everything right on the head, except he's actually talking about Himself. Looking at himself in the mirror in prison. Right on with the feelings, though!! The woman is from the cover of the album which has the original song on it. Kind of confuses you if you don't know the history of the band!

I assume someone in the comments told you that the original title of this song from 2011 was "The Drug in Me is You" and this is just the reimagined version....hence the title.

Reimagined is referring to this being an alternate version of their older song "the drug in me is you", the word has nothing to do with the songs lyrical content

I think others have mentioned, but the song title "The Drug in Me is Reimagined" is a spin on the original title "The Drug in Me is You" since this is a "reimagined" version of the original. Same as "I'm Not a Vampire, Revamped" is a "revamped" version of the original. I've got to check to see if you've done that one. It's my favorite of the two. I've got to ask, what region are you from? I love the accent. I went to university in Wales and got pretty good at pegging British accents. I have a guess, but I don't want to embarrass myself if I'm wrong. LOL.

I know this has been probably said to you. But, you need to listen to Falling In Reverse with their earlier songs, then progress to their recent songs. This song is "reimagined" because it was performed in their previous scene punk kinda stage. It was WAY more upbeat and seemed happier. This one is toned down and seems sad. Ronnie Radke is a musical genius. I'm a Punk and Classical rock guy at heart, however, I like all genres. Ronnie does it ALL. He broke ALL barriers 💯. You don't even understand that by simply reacting to Falling In Reverse stuff, you gain THOUSANDS of followers. That's no joke.

Uh... isn't it obvious that songs like these serve as straight up metaphors as well. While he maybe talking about a girl ,he also can be referring to drugs. Where the drugs are personified as the girl. And since I know Ronnie's( lead singer of the band) background story a little . This songsis serves 3 metaphors : 1. Obviously the love aspect with a girl . 2. The addiction to actual drugs and 3. The addiction to music because the girl is modelled after the album cover of drug is in you, was from. And similarly the contrast between snow and fire serves as symbolism to passion and indifference, peace and unrest , and other polarising emotions . There so many interpretations of the song that can be extrapolated from the lyrics.

Falling In Reverse is pretty much a punk type band. Not really a specific genre. This is Ronnie stretching his musicality. Showing off his voice and creativity. Re-imagining his own song to give it a different meaning.

Geez reimagined is not part of the song title..... It's the original song reimagined

lol Beat drop... as in no beat at all. I guess kids can only use what they know. At least this one is exploring other types of music. Unlike others of this generation. I half expect to see Elmo's World reimagined.
