I’ve got 2 young adult daughters and a husband that suffer with anxiety and depression. Listening to NF and Twenty One Pilots has helped me realize what they go through and how they feel. It also helps me when I’m feeling overwhelmed dealing with all their anxieties. Thanks for always being so honest and giving your advice-it is appreciated!

I just want to say, this is the first time I've heard someone who doesn't deal with it actually try to understand and help, as well as acknowledge their own struggles in it as well. Thank you so much for being a wonderful person, I know it's not easy, but knowing people like you exist give me hope someone will listen

NF wrote this song as an exercise from his therapist when he had a breakdown in 2018. They suggested he write a letter to what he would say to his younger self to help through his childhood traumas. "I was having a mental breakdown. I was questioning my life. I was questioning everything,” he explains. “The song ‘Nate’, that’s where I’m rapping to the younger version of me, that was inspired from checking myself into therapy after I got off the ‘Perception’ tour because I was so mentally in a bad place… I ended up getting diagnosed with OCD.”

Ray, I have utmost respect for you. You are more than amazing. I don't give a shit about how long your reactions are. I should actually apologize to you for my long ass comments. NF is a lyrical genius. I write poetry to express my emotions but only the psychologist I was seeing last year has read them. You are the one and only person that has been helping me out since than. I'm ever grateful to you for doing so. I was so lost but since you've started doing NF reactions, it made me aware that there are people who genuinely give a shit. I'm not on any other social media, there is too much fake shit and judgement that goes on there. l'm holding on thread, I tried to overdose but I was taken to hospital to pump my stomache. My real life shit is too much for me so I Vibe out with you and the gang. You're the only one's who know most of the Real Me. I too joke around a lot but there's times you gotta get serious. I love the line in this song 'There's a big difference between confidence and arrogance'. Last week I used it on my husband by telling him ' There's a fine line between confidence and arrogance but there's even finer line between arrogance and stupidity' and yesterday I sent him a msg...'Arrogance and Stupidity all in one package. How efficient you are' 🤣. He believes only he can 'fix' me by being over controling. Mad Love to you and the Vibe Gang.

I am diagnosed bipolar and several other diagnoses to go with it , I have found throughout this rocky journey that I become the most depressed when my brain is trying to process to many emotions at once. Think back to when computers were trash and you would have to many tabs open at once and everything would freeze up , that is kind of like how it is

This is a classic therapy technique; writing a letter to your younger self and then burning it or tearing it up to release forgiveness. I'm assuming his therapy work was the inspiration for this track. As always, brilliantly arranged and orchestrated. Nate's just different and does it like no other!
