Here is a tip you can purchase all of the seafood that you see at this restaurant and more beachside where the boats come in in the morning then bring it to a restaurant and they’ll cook it for cheap purchasing the seafood in the morning beachside is five times cheaper than what you’re paying for right now

That’s a good tip. We’ve been to the fish markets before when we want to cook.

Nice day to relax and chill in a tropic country, cheap delicious food and beverages while people watch. Am I understanding it correctly that your parents are with you guys? How are they enjoying VN, or not.

We were at Son Tra market 3 weeks ago and ate a whole plate of seafoods ( 3 lobsters , 6 prawns , 6 squids , one big Octopus tentacle , 10 clams , 4 scallops , 2 big tuna chunks ) for 400k VND and 2 desserts ( Che Dâu Trang and Chuoi Nêp Nuong ) + 2 large glasses of sugar cane juices for 100k VND . We didn't have any digestive issue or food poisoning after that.

All the seafood we had was amazing and fresh. Da nang does seafood really well. I did end up drinking lots of ice through the trip and was mostly fine but got a scratchy throat near the end

Don't worries about the food, drink(ice). Your stomach is not used to the new things. Its normal. Try them if you want.

Agreed. Every time I order Vietnamese coffee I ask for it to be less sweet. People say it is strong, but I think it only have 1-2 shots of espresso. Everytime I meet a Vietnamese person they tell me they love Korean food. I am always surprised because Vietnamese food has mild flavours vs. strong spicy flavours of Korean cuisine. When I google healthiest cuisines both are often on the list.

Yeah I think lots of common between the two cultures and cuisines. It’s funny a lot of Vietnamese people thing that western style coffee is too strong.

@@TravelWithNala Perhaps that is because Canadians tend to drink lighter roasted beans. The longer they are roasted the less caffeine they have. I often buy Viet coffee beans at my fave banh mi shop because I love the smooth flavour.

This was an interesting video. I was very surprised some locals spoke Korean. From the videos I have seen it seems Da Nang is a resort/ tourist town.

Yeah it’s a really popular spot for Koreans on vacation. But there’s also a whole local side of Da Nang as well outside of the Son Tra area

Most Vietnamese find English words hard to pronounce. Lots of Vietnamese can't pronounce English sounds like SH, PL, CL etc.. while Korean is much easier for us to pronounce correctly. There's a convenient store owned by Korean in my neighborhood and the first time I said Hello and Thank you to the owner she's surprised and said where I learn Korean to pronounce flawlessly. She doesn't know that I just learned these two words by watching Korean movie.

@@thumtlnguyen3626 I think that is because Vietnamese is tonal. I would love to learn a little Vietnamese before I check Vietnam off my bucket list. Koreans struggle to pronounce R and L in English. I speak a few languages, but when I try order my fave Viet dishes like Bun Cha or Bun Thit Nuong the server never understands my bad pronunciation. Lol. There are lots of Vietnamese in my city and we always have lovely conversations about how we love each others' cuisines:).
