BEST LEAGUE THIS SEASON GERMAN FOOTBALL IS BACK

And we have another debutant in the 1. Bundesliga! The list of newcomers in recent years is growing: Hoffenheim first played in the 1st Bundesliga in 2008. Augsburg for the first time in 2011. Leipzig in 2016. Union Berlin in 2019. Heidenheim in 2023, just last year. And now Holstein in 2024 will play for the first time in its history in the elite of German football.

If you don't know, Hoffenheim, Augsburg, Leipzig, and Union Berlin have enjoyed at least once in European Football. Hoffenheim in 2018-19 UCL Group Stage with future Treble winners Manchester City. Augsburg narrowly lost to Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool in 2015-16 UEL Round of 32. Leipzig reached the 2019-20 UCL Semifinal and also had 2 DFB Pokals. Union Berlin played against this season's UCL finalist Real Madrid. Of course, Heidenheim and Kiel might have a chance to upset everyone in the future.

@@sreehari7467 Heidenheim's debut season was so phenomenal. They even caused a big upset against Bayern Munich (winning 3-2 after being 0-2 down) and Borussia Dortmund (goalless draw). Bayern had almost made an all-German Champions League Final this year against Dortmund!

A lot of drama stories in German football this year ❤🎉

That's not true. Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia are missing ones, only had teams in the DDR-Oberliga.

Its true. Thuringia does not even have a rep in the top three divisions - Erfurt and Jena have all dropped out. For saxony Anhalt - Magdeburg is the closest team to the top division.

I Really enjoyed this team when they beat Bayern in DFB Pokal, and liked the roster of players like Janny Serra or Meffert (i mean i liked them since 2021 DFB-Pokal win) and im really happy about them to play in the bundesliga, they did it for the first time so i 2 times happier.

I still remember when they knocked recent sextuple winners Bayern out and reached the semis of the DfB-Pokal in 2021.

It's interesting to see that Schalke, Hamburg, Hertha, Hanover...are all still stuck in Bundlesliga 2.

Their fit reminds me of classic Portsmouth from the Mid-2000s Well congratulations then we'll see next season whether they'll be a heidenheim or a darmstat

I asked the gardener if I could enter the stadium for a visit, he let me in very friendly. A family club. Very happy finally Kiel makes it after so many tries

Unless HSV is taken over by another company, HSV won't be promoted to the Bundesliga permanently. At the worst, HSV should be dissolved right now.

Times are changing. As a Hamburger SV sympathizer from back in 90s, I've been waiting for seasons to see them get promoted - but not again! With Schalke, Hertha, Hannover etc. Bundesliga 2 is more exciting to watch than B-1...
