@Jack Saraceno the park opened in April 1992 that was way to fast after bueaty and the beast. They took a lot of time in to building the park they actually build the castle a lot like actual castles are build cause they had to represent all the real life castle in Europe and not disappoint European fans cause there are some bueatyes out thwre. This is also the reason why Disney Land Paris was in a lot of Dept before Disney owned it. It was owned by Paris and investors

@Jack Saraceno Ofcourse, because it takes 1 year to make a park, let alone a castle made out of stone and concrete, unlike the American parks made out of some sort of fiberglass polimer.

I don't know why, but when he saw the dragon and starting doing the Mushu impression, all I could think about was Donkey from Shrek(and yes, I know they're both played my Eddie Murphy) and all I could picture was Donkey in China attempting to help Mulan...and it took too long for me to realise it was Mushu...lol Edit: OMG 84 likes?!?? Phantom Manor is not Haunted Mansion because of the translation.... When Imagineerings thought in the name, they said that Haunted Mansion does't sound as good as Phantom Manor in French.

"Phantom" is very close to the French word "Fantôme", and "Manor" is very close to the French word "Manoir". It's much easier for French people to pronounce "Phantom Manor" than "Haunted Mansion" ;)

I rode it in october last year and it was awesome, great additions and effects + the lighting was superb :) it complimented the ride as it was and is now ready for new gens to come. (let's be honest here, the old version of PM was a bit dated and that's coming from a HUGE PM fan here) I didn't like every change of it tho (I made a video about it btw, comparing the old AND new phantom manor side by side!)

Disneyland Paris is an amazing park, it had a rocky start but in the end it was all worth it

Parc Disneyland is indeed a beautiful park, perhaps the most beautiful Disneyland. Too bad that the youngest Disney European park, Walt Disney Studios, is the ugliest and maybe the worst Disney park in the world... hopefully the expansion plan will help to solve some of the big problems the park is facing and bring back the Disney magic.

Tony Baxter's magic is all over that park, he did an amazing job. Beautiful castle. Yes it would've made more sense to make it Belle's castle in Paris but at least she has a castle (well, a tiny one) at Magic Kingdom.

Beauty and the Beast was released in 91. Disneyland Paris was opened in 92. It took years to plan and build, so Beauty and the Beast were probably was unknown while the castle was being built. But really, who is concerned with it? It is sooo gorgeous.

@Natalie Carrillo-Meza there's no need to shout. I have only been to the Hong Kong Disneyland since covid started because the numbers were very low there and I was living there at the time. I haven't been to any of the others since 2019 or earlier.

I absolutely LOVE Disneyland Paris. That Labyrinth is great fun. Crush's Coaster is the first ride we go on everytime we are at Disneyland Paris, it's such a bright, colourful ride. I think that this park has a fantastic atmosphere, unique features, completely different places to eat and rides that are EPIC 🌟

The artist who was responsible for the gorgeous style and backgrounds in Sleeping Beauty is Eyvind Earle.

21:54 They needed a name similar enough to Haunted Mansion that could be translated in English and French! :D

Phantom Manor like some other original attractions were adapted to suit the European market. They wanted to.make the ride darker and more sinister, cos apparently we like that here. The park used to be very different but over time has come more inline with the American counterparts while still embracing it's European location. Since the 25th anniversary there has been lots of investment and the shows and parades are constantly improving. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming developments in studios park. If you are coming from afar definitely give yourself time to explore Paris to Versailles is stunning and should not be missed.

I remember this place! I went to Disneyland Paris 2 years ago, and it was really dang fun! I loved the ride where it was guitar-rock themed and it really REALLY fast! Also, there was that one performance where all the Disney princesses danced, and the MC's, both sang in two versions of the song, one English (woman) and one French (man). I also loved that after the night show, Mickey stood on a balcony at the exit and waved us all goodbye! xD Man, I wish I could go there again...

One of these days I am going to go here and do everything!!! I don't care if I'll become broke, I'm going to do it!!!!!

You're right Brian. Disneyland Paris is phenomenal, and extremely beautiful. I think they had to do that because Paris is so beautiful. A plain ole Disneyland would look drab in comparison.

My husband and I enjoyed our trip to Disneyland Paris when we went in 2017. I hope that we have the opportunity to go back one day because there was so much we didn't get to experience. We were only there for the 4 day Memorial Day weekend, and 2 of those days were mostly spent driving 9 hours from Vilseck, Germany. We are U.S. military, so we were stationed in Germany at the time. I loved that everything was within walking distance of our hotel, and since we booked the 25th Anniversary package, tickets to both parks, hotel, and our meal plan was included at 20% off! We upgraded to the Full Board meal plan for a few dollars more per person, added a character breakfast for a small additional charge, and even did the Buffalo Bill's Wild West Dinner Show at Disney Village. For Buffalo Bill's, the meal plan only covered about half the cost of admission into the show, but we only had to pay 60 Euros total out of pocket to cover the rest! We had a blast that weekend! One day, I want to get stationed over there again. I still need to visit both Disneyland parks in China, Japan, and the original Disneyland in California, but Disneyland Paris can officially be crossed off of my bucket list!

ive been to disneyland paris 5 or 6 times so far and im still loving it everytime you can feel the magic in the air its like turning into a kid everytime you go in and just watching this video gave me the feels and the memories i had when i was there and now im missing it even more its just perfect
