Generally country music isn’t my preferred genre - but this song has been a true favorite since the first time I heard it. This song is just killer, pure great music.. Asia is exactly right.

Watch the live version from the Pass the Jar DVD,it blows the studio version away ,also the live version of Colder Weather is better tha n the studio…actually just watch the whole concert dvd, it’s incredible.

Whenever my husband and I go for long drives we blast this and sing along - love this song!!!!!

OMG... The timing of this reaction is uncanny. First of all I went and saw one of my old bands last night and I asked him if they still play this and then unfortunately they don't so I didn't get to hear it. Secondly I know I've asked you guys to review this version because I know you just did the original into the mystic, but I think this version by Zac Brown is pretty amazing. And this is the version that we used to play when I was in the band. Thank you so much for doing this I'm about to check it out right now.

Incredible song...!

One of the most amazing bands I have ever seen live in concert. If you get the chance to see them, grab it, it will be worth it.

Btw the violin intro is also in the album, my top tracks by them are chicken fried, free, knee deep, jump right in, uncaged, heavy is the head with Chris Cornell, roots,woods, god given, out in the middle their latest is awesome so yepoers I like them

Ive seen them live several times. I would never pick the studio version of anything they do. They are so awesome live! The first time i heard them do this was live and i was pleasantly surprised by the Van Morrison cover they worked in there. It fir perfectly like it was meant to be.

Love love this and it is genius. Two completely different songs that are merged together into one fantastic piece of music. Love Zac Brown Band.

I have seen the Zac Brown band live before. It was an incredible concert. Musically, it is incredible. Zacs voice is strong with hellacious range. And they make damn sure you get your moneys worth. Keith urban is the same way. Musically unbelievable

There is a great live DVD of Zac Brown called Pass The Jar..it’s a fantastic concert and the whole band is amazing.

Zac Brown Band are great and they have a lot of cool songs. As you initially said, this is a mash-up of their song Free along with Van Morrison’s song Into The Mystic.

Just went to see them again last night. They're incredible.

Saw them live once in Detroit and they are great! Kid Rock was in town and decided to come play a few songs with them too which was a cool fusion!

I love the warmth and chemistry between these 2 humans. So refreshing. Oh, the mash-up’d songs were great, too I saw Zac Brown on Miami Beach…it was super mixed crowd and that’s not everyone’s perception of country.

This is the first time I've seen you guys. I'm working on this song for my guitar and this is beautiful. That segue you both noticed is my favorite part. I'm an artist, writer, musician from Brooklyn NY. I remember the signs in record store windows "Don't listen to the colored music" and I was lucky enough to see racism was a big lie. I also watched Dwayne Allman defy the klan and play with black musicians, they burned his house down. If you want to see the beauty that came from it, watch him do, Hey Jude, with wilson Pickett. My wife and I got married in June of 2020. Middle of covid shutdown. We had to cancel all our wedding plans. Obviously, we were pretty upset but we understood. We ended up having a small, outdoor, socially distanced ceremony with only close family (and a phone to live stream). Prior to this, my Dad had told me he would have danced to van morrison's "Into the mystic" with my Mom if he would have been able to. Separately, I had already thought about making "Free" our first dance. With nothing but my cell phone, we played this version and danced to it infront of our close relatives (including my parents). The world had thrown us the ultimate curveball, but we persevered and made the best of it. I don't think you can start a marriage off any stronger than that. 👍

Into the Mystic is a Van Morrison song. The Austin City Limits performance has a lot more music to it and, won them a Grammy.

Fun fact, they often cover Rage Against The Machine's song Bull's On Parade at their live shows and the guy playing the violin is rapping. 😉 They cover it well. ZBB is one of my top live shows I've seen. The smooth transition is often call called a segue. It's exciting to watch a band be able to do it so seamlessly live.

In country music or Southern Rock it's called a fiddle instead of violin
