    I grew up on a dirt road out in the country. I'll NEVER forget when the WuTang 36 Chambers tape came in on my neighborhood buddy's Columbia House tape club subscription. It literally changed our rap listening lives forever. I love these reaction videos to music I've known forever. Wu is definitely forever.

    I’ve never felt older than I do at this moment lol!! You’ve NEVER heard CREAM??? Stop asking for recommendations and just react to Wu Tang, Tribe Called Quest, Biggie, Nas, Mos Def, Pharcyde, Big L, Mobb Deep. True lyricists the OGs..you’ll be set for the next year! And if you don’t know now you know. But for real..ODB, method man, Raekwon all of them just have amazing flows..❤️🔥🌶☮️

    It’s just one of those things where you assume everyone has heard something because of how massive it was at the time and to the movement. But there’s potentially an entire generation that has never heard pivotal monumental songs. It hit me.. I think you would not only enjoy listening to more, but you’ll gain a better appreciation for lyricism, and I’ve really seen you on the lyric path lately. But you won’t want to listen to modern rap anymore! ❤️😂

    There not 80’s there mid 90’s Rza first album as prince Rakeem came out in the early 90’s that money he got form being signed and then dropped started Wu tang clan. 80’s would BDP, Ultramagnetic Mc’s, Jungle brothers, Public enemy, the Juice crew, Gangstar, EPMD etc. I’m 40 and from the south I was big underground head in the 90’s Wu tang could draw underground heads and mainstream heads which a lot groups in the mid 90’s couldn’t do since the drop of what they called Conscious rappers

    The origin of rap music is story telling, and poetry. Wu-tang does it well. Real raw and unapologetic story telling.

  • @otrogonzalez

    @otrogonzalez

    15 күн бұрын

    "story telling & poetry" nah, the origin is criticism to the system from popular wisdom, street wisdom... life. Things are told in the top but don't make sense in the bottom, that gives rap its original edge. If you take that out, you end up with just drugs and ass. Respectfully

    If you like Wu-Tang definitely get their first two albums and all the solo albums that include Supreme Clientele, and everything before that. Then grab Masta Killas solo albums. Then you add: - Killarmys albums - Sunz Of Man albums "First Testament" and "The Last Shall Be FIrst" - Black Castle album by Royal Fam - Wu-Tang Killa Beez vol 1 and 2 (The Sting) - Heavy Mental album by Killah Priest - Heavy Mentwo compilation available on youtube by Killah Priest. - Gravediggaz album If you ask me the above is almost a definitive collection of every great Wu-Tang tracks from the 90s. You will have almost no bad tracks and literally hundreds of awesome wu-tang clan and affiliate tracks on hand. Some random things will be missing like soundtrack and compilation appearances etc, but you cant go wrong with that.

A lot mob boss live in Staten Island because it far away from the dirt the mob was doing, but close enough to get to anything the mob was doing.
