As a 27 year old who’s grown up in the pop era, people are usually surprised when I say that my favorite band is Tool. Between their sound, perfected technique, lyrics, and topics they perform about, it’s the closest band to perfection in any genre. Some of my favorite songs by them are The Pot, Lateralus, Schism, and Sober. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend going down the Tool rabbit hole. They’re absolutely incredible. All love Sebs ❤️🤙🏻

I'm a huge toolfan and I make the usual rounds around the reaction channels. I'm so glad I found your reaction, so genuine and positive just amazing.. You have earned my subscription and I cannot wait to hopefully see you react to more tool. When you were talking about learning to live with your back pain and experience it, me as a grown man damn near wept because I knew the last line was coming and I couldn't wait to see the recognition on your face. As for other tool songs you'll learn that you need to know every tool song. The important part is the order in which you choose to react to them in period. there is no right answer, But I can't wait to go along for this ride because I know where it's going. Thank you for the amazing positive vibes
The transition between Parabol and Parabola is one of my favorite of all time. Its a shame when you dont get the two together.
Listen to The Grudge by them while hitting a PR at the gym, 100% guarentee youll hit it! EDIT: if you are going to listen to it, its about holding grudges and how it can set a person back, its in the same album and the instruments are insane

This reaction made me tear up. Why? Because watching someone hear Tool for the first time and *get it* right off the bat is just magical. Plus, I'm an emotional person a day this song always gets me.
So much fun watching someone discover Tool for the first time! Keep the Tool coming!
"Most hard rock is focused on expressing ones anger, but this wasn't...I love that." maannn you keep making my night LOL just you WAIT my friend. this album, minus one track, and the reason is delightfully ironic and bitingly hilarious, is precisely that. Beautifully composed and engineered pieces of ProgMetal-esque bangers, one after the next after the next with some funky texture as seques in betwixt. None of them are about anger...all of them will make you fall deeper and deeper in love with the band and their whhoollee thhhiinnggggg... I hope you check them out again soon! if I would rec' anything...for a 2nd track... The Grudge. Same album, its the opener. Forking brilliance.
Hope to see you get into more Tool for sure. Certainly a journey that will enhance your life. Check out the track "Forty Six & 2" which is about the shadow self and evolving. Cheers ✌🏼
I started my Tool journey with the album Opiate in the early 90's, Undertow was great, but when Ænima came out I was a fan for life. 25 years later, 46 and 2 still give me goosebumps. It is based on the works of Carl Jung, human chromosomes and evolution of man, and our shadow self. If you want deep, this is it. Oh, and a face melting metal song to boot. Enjoy!

Um yeah you just stumbled on a treasure in music. Tool is gonna reel you in. I was subbed for Harry Mack and now I got Tool. Let's go!

*When he mentions the time signatures* "First time?" 😂
As a long time Tool fan my main suggestion is to go back and start from the beggining. Tool is an evolving journey and you shouldn't start your journey half way through. Start with their earlier stuff and move your way up. They're probably the only band where I can listen to any of their albuns from start to finish without ever feeling the need to jump over to a specific track. Enjoy the deep rabbit hole!

You are definitely Tool material ! ( wrote this 7 minutes into your reaction )
I also have back issues, I’m laying on an ice pack for my back the same time as I watched this lol. My friend, welcome to the Tool Army, you will find that Tool was formed and will transform yourself. There is no other band like Tool. More Tool reactions, the Tool Army will follow!!!
Noyce. You're gonna love the rest of that album.
The mortal body. The eternal spirit. We don't remember our past lives, but we must embrace this moment and celebrate that our spirit has this brief moment to be alive and breathing. The pain we experience must not bring us down, as it's just an illusion of the brain, and our spirit transcends physical reality.
You stepped right off into the deep end! More TOOL. The TOOL ARMY will blow up your channel. They do not have a bad song. This may not even be their best song. The Grudge and Lateralus off the same album will blow you away.
The next song on that album is one of their heaviest ever. The drummer won awards for it, and the vocalist killed his ability to sing high notes for weeks after, as it wax the last one they recorded.
I started watching you for the Ricky gervais show and an idiot abroad I never thought I would see you react to tool. You are going to get hammered with tool requests now
TOOL can justifiably be called GOAT.

Really great reaction, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I definitely have a similar profound reaction to a lot of Tool songs, and it's really nice to see you share in that. It's funny to me that a band with a much heavier sound has such positive messaging, but I often find that the energy of the music and the message of the lyrics really hits me hard, and makes me want to focus more on my positive habits / practices. Cheers!
You've just stumbled across one of the greatest bands ever.
Great reaction my man. Welcome to the Tool Army. Once you hear it, you can not unhear it. That next song that crept in at the end is actually my favorite song, Lateralus, using the Fibonacci sequence from math with the syllables of the words. It is legit as are all their songs from album 1 to the latest Fear Inoculum. We need more Tool reactions and I promise your ratio of likes to dislikes will be the best of anything you can think of to react to. I'm not lying so go prove me wrong.
You picked a good portal to go thru to start this journey. Welcome to the team. I remember the 1st time I heard this and loved it. Lots of other great music ahead of you in this band. This one and "pet" are prolly my favs but it's hard to really elevate above others (such as the Pot or Lateralus). They are all so good. Edit: Forgot 46 & 2, which is pretty freakin epic.
I'm so late to the game. This is the first time I discovered your reactions. I'm so glad I found your channel and I'm excited to go on the Tool journey with you right here, right now! 😊
Took is right up your alley my dude ! You’re gonna love their WHOLE discography
Thanks for the reaction video bro, you nailed it!!
Welcome to the rabbit hole of a journey that is Tool. You should do Lateralus next, but before you do look into the Fibonacci sequence if you aren't familiar. Will make the experience of the song that much greater. Be ready for one of the greatest musical journeys ever with Tool. The song that started playing after Parabola ended was Lateralus btw. Edit: Try to listen, really listen and embrace the music, without pausing as much as possible. It makes it so much more of an experience as opposed to just music. Second Edit: "what time signature is this?" That is the million dollar question with any Tool song you listen to. Danny Carey is one of the greatest technical drummers of all time. Right up there with Neil Peart.
I am glad you discovered them, they are amazing live 😊
Tool are 4 amazing musicians who together make up a truly unique band. One of the greatest vocalists ever in Maynard and Danny Carey on drums is one of the absolute best ever. When you said you like prog rock I had a feeling you were gonna love this song. You would be doing yourself a huge disservice if you don’t continue on this Tool journey and listen to more from them. They just put out an album recently and the drummer Danny is like 60 years old and still getting it. He is known for his polyrhythms and odd time signatures. The song starting to play at the end is “Lateralus” based on the Fibonacci sequence. It’s a masterpiece that needs to be checked out. “Vicarious” and “The Pot” are probably a couple you’d very much enjoy.
"What time signature is this?" That's the only reason why I watch first time Tool reactions😆

Eh, one thing that I want to add - your thing is like "shit, do you hear the lyrics, wtf, holy shit", and others mostly is just "hey this sounds amazing, 10/10". There is a difference between appreciating good music, and appreciating good music AS WELL AS good lyrcis. I feel like nobody listens to lyrics these days. Maybe I'm a boomer, an old school. Who cares. Your videos are top notch and I will fight anyone that thinks differet. Especially the 10.000 days and Maynards mother topic. Tears guaranteed. Man, good job, dunno if you will ever read this, but shit. You made my day, month, and youtube seach all together. Keep it up friend, love you, keep on going!

To hear this song is cool and all but, to experience this composition, understand this message and adapt it into your life is truly powerful.
