We lost Toby yesterday & it’s a hard pill to swallow. He was a true supporter of our military, 😢a die hard OU Sooner fan, & just a good person. We love you Toby. Your legend will live on through your music. God bless you brother, RiP

He's been awarded with military awards for his contributions to the service men and women. His songs range from serious to funny. He's taken sometime off due to stomach cancer. Nov 4 in Kentucky, he got on stage and did an hr long show. Hopefully he will continue to get stronger. Check out Angry American live version

I also love his song with Willie Nelson, "Whiskey for my men, and beer for my horses". After he wrote it, he called and asked if Willie would do it, Willie asked what it was called. After he heard the name, Willie said, "Don't say another word, I'm in!"

Yeah, not only did Keith write the song, "Beer for My Horses", he wrote the screenplay for the movie with the same name, and he and Willie, acted in it!!! It was extremely cool!!! Toby's all that, and a bottle of beer!! ❤️

He wrote "Don't let the old man in. " Toby and Clint Eastwood are very good friends, while visiting Clint they were talking about Clint's new movie coming out when he's in his 90's. Toby asked him man how do you do it ? Clint said I just get out of bed everyday and "Don't let the old man in ." Toby wrote the song and sent it to Clint . He said I want to put that in my movie "The Mule" and he did !!

There's plenty more but I'll just give you these for now. And my prayers are still with Toby during his fight with stomach cancer I did hear he's recovering.

Roby Keith was first heard on the radio in 1993. I saw him in concert in 1996 as the warm up performer. He stole the show. This song "brought him to the big dance" in 1999. Today he is widely known for his patriotic songs such as "The Angry American", "Made in America" and "American Soldier". He is a true American patriot.

Toby Keith is from Oklahoma, he has a Restaurant, Toby Keith’s Bar and Grill in OKC. He has many great songs. I had four of his albums when I was a preteen. Most of them are fun like this. Sadly he is going through cancer. 😢

You DEFINITELY need to listen to more Toby! I had the pleasure to hang with him for a while when I was dating one of his close friends. He is SO genuine…his smart ass side as well as his serious side. What you see/hear is what you get with this man. No holds barred. He’s an awesome human. Love him♥️
