We feel very connected to the BeeGees here in Australia. They migrated here when they were still children, with their parents. They could always sing, and in a few years, were appearing on Australian TV. They matured as performers and song writers, had a few hits here and then went back to England, only to conquer the market there too. When the film "Saturday Day Night Fever" was being planned, they were asked to write the music for it. This introduced them to America and they conquered that market too. Since then they have become world famous.

@GaryNoone-jz3mq Australia took them for granted, I heard all the songs they made there & it's a shame they never got the recognition they deserved! One is“Cherry Red”! It should have been number one around the globe. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mXmp19ykqdiyc6w.htmlsi=syZmxQCioMobKSbB

My World. Massachusetts. I Started A Joke. Words. Love You Inside Out. I Can't See Nobody. Bodyguard. Living Eyes. Morning Of My Life. Stayin Alive. How Deep Is Your Love. Mr Natural. Wedding Day. Amazing song writers and singers. You could react to one of their songs a week and there are so many it will take you years. It's okay to have more than one favorite Bee Gees songs, I have over 150. All Gems. They started performing at age 9 and twins were 6. They wrote the song Grease. Islands In The Stream by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. Come On Over by Olivia Newton John. Heart Breaker by Dion Warwick. Chain Reaction by Diana Ross. The list goes on and on. There is a great video and not too long 100 Top 10 Hit's Written by the Bee Gees. Enjoy. Love your Bee Gees reactions.

Enjoyed your reaction! The Bee Gees only did a few covers but one of theirs worth checking out is “will you still love me tomorrow”. I don’t think they ever released this song as a single but it was included in tribute album to songwriter Carole King.

Please react to Al Green’s cover of this song. Barry was recently asked of all their songs that were covered by others, which is his favorite. He said Al Green’s cover of HOW CAN YOU MEND A BROKEN HEART. Be sure to include “Bee Gees cover” in the reaction title to make it easier for Bee Gees fans to find.

A sweet heartbroken reaction 🍯💔❤‍🩹! The Bee Gees 2020 documentary is called: "The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend A Broken Heart". I see 👁👁that you have reacted to the Bee Gees before: Alexander's Ragtime Band/My Old Man's A Dustman (Ballad Of A Refuse Disposal Officer) medley, Closer Than Close, Night Fever, Too Much Heaven, Stayin' Alive, How Deep Is Your Love, Jive Talkin', Fanny (Be Tender With My Love), Heartbreaker, Nights On Broadway, To Love Somebody, I’ve Gotta Get A Message To You, Lonely Days and New York Mining Disaster 1941. How Can You Mend A Broken Heart was released as the lead single from the Bee Gees' 1971 album: Trafalgar. In Spain, it was released under the title: "Cómo Puedes Arreglar Un Corazón Destrozado". The song was written by Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb. The song was produced by the Bee Gees and Robert Stigwood. The song was written during the same afternoon as the Bee Gees' previous American hit song: "Lonely Days", in Barry Gibb's basement flat at Addison Road, Holland Park, London. Despite the affected tale of heartache, this song was very easy to write, as Robin Gibb claims they wrote it in about an hour and without struggle or hardship. Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb wrote the song in the style of Andy Williams, who was a popular recording artist and television presenter at the time. The song reached #1 on the Hot 100, #1 on the Cash Box 100 and #4 on the Adult Contemporary chart. It was their first #1 song in the US. The single sold one million copies and was certified Gold by the RIAA. Billboard ranked it as the No. 5 song for 1971. The song was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo Or Group. It was performed by the Bee Gees as part of a medley on The Midnight Special on October 10, 1975, in Japan on the Japanese TV special: Love Sounds, and on the Mr Natural tour in 1974. A live version recorded on November 17 and 18, 1989, at the National Tennis Centre, Melbourne, Australia, was used for the benefit album: "Nobody's Child: Romanian Angel Appeal". Between 1997 and 1999, the song was performed on the One Night Only tour as part of a medley. It was last performed live on stage by the Bee Gees in 2001. In 1971, Andy Williams identified it as a song in his wheelhouse and recorded his own version for his covers album: You've Got a Friend. Al Green recorded this in 1972 for his album: Let's Stay Together. His version was used in the 1999 movie: Notting Hill. Al Green drew out his epic interpretation to nearly six and a half minutes. According to Mojo magazine, producer Willie Mitchell instructed the band to imagine: "they were sitting by a river, a forest across the water, with all this music coming out of the forest and floating across the river, kind of delayed". Barry Gibb re-recorded the song as a duet with Sheryl Crow for his 2020 solo album: "Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers Songbook, Vol. 1". The song has been covered by many other artists including 📻: Teddy Pendergrass, Julio Iglesias, Diana Krall, Ronnie Spector, Tino Reyes Trio, Barry Manilow, Spoonbread, B3, Pee Wee Ellis, Ruben Studdard, Michael Bublé, Cher, The Lettermen, Johnny Mathis, Danny White, Mary Steenburg, Peter Nero, Chris Stills, The Stylistics and more. Critical Reception 🗣: Cash Box described the song as being "a slower, almost country-ballad styled performance which links an intricate melody segment with more powerful thrusts to give the track top forty impetus". Record World called it a "lovely tune [that] can't miss". Song Credits 📝: Barry Gibb - lead and harmony vocals, rhythm guitar Robin Gibb - lead and harmony vocals Maurice Gibb - harmony vocals, bass guitar, piano, rhythm guitar, Hammond organ Geoff Bridgford - drums Bill Shepherd - orchestral and strings arrangement Lyrics 🗒: I can think of younger days when living for my life Was everything a man could want to do I could never see tomorrow, . But I was never told about the sorrow How can you mend a broken heart? How can you stop the rain from falling down? How can you stop the sun from shining? What makes the world go round? How can you mend a this broken man? How can a loser ever win? Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again I can still feel the breeze that rustles through the trees And misty memories of days gone by We could never see tomorrow, No one said a word about the sorrow And how can you mend a broken heart? How can you stop the rain from falling down? How can you stop the sun from shining? What makes the world go round? And how can you mend this broken man? How can a loser ever win? Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again La la la la la la, la la la la La la la la la la, la la la la Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again Da da da da Da da da da, da da da da da, da Bee Gees Info 📰: The Bee Gees, from England, were formed in 1958 by brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb. The Bee Gees were influenced by The Beatles, The Everly Brothers, The Mills Brothers, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, Roy Orbison, The Beach Boys and Stevie Wonder. On the 2014 documentary: The Joy Of The Bee Gees, Barry Gibb said that the Bee Gees were also influenced by The Hollies and Otis Redding. The trio were especially successful in popular music in the late 1960s and early 1970s and later as prominent performers in the disco music era in the mid to late 1970s. The Bee Gees were given their name by Bill Gates. We're not talking about the Microsoft Bill Gates, but a Brisbane radio presenter of that name. He named the group the "BGs" (later changed to "Bee Gees") after his, Barry Gibb's, and speedway promoter Bill Goode's initials. Bill Goode gave the Gibb brothers their first break after he hired them to entertain the crowd at the Redcliffe Speedway in 1960. The group has won a total of 8 Grammy Awards from 16 Grammy Award nominations over the course of their career. The Bee Gees have been referred to in the media as: The Disco Kings, Britain's First Family Of Harmony and The Kings Of Dance Music. The Bee Gees are prominently featured on two classic movie soundtracks: Saturday Night Fever (1977) & Staying Alive (1983). The Bee Gee's younger brother Andy Gibb (March 5, 1958 - March 10, 1988) had a very successful music career as a singer before he prematurely passed away in 1988. Following Maurice Gibb's sudden passing in January 2003 at the age of 53, Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb retired the group's name after 45 years of activity. In 2009, Robin Gibb announced that he and Barry Gibb had agreed that the Bee Gees would re-form and perform again. Robin Gibb passed away in May 2012, aged 62, after a prolonged period of failing health, leaving Barry Gibb as the only surviving member of the group. The discography of the British-Australian musical group Bee Gees consists of 39 albums (including 22 studio albums) and 83 singles. They have scored 9 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including 15 top ten hits and 43 chart entries overall. Billboard ranked them as the 28th Greatest Artist of All Time. Billboard also ranked them as the 14th Greatest Hot 100 Artist of all time. The Bee Gees were inducted in 1994 into the Songwriters Hall of Fame as well as Florida's Artists Hall of Fame in 1995. They were inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame in 1997. Also, in 1997 the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Bee Gees were appointed Commanders of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2002. In 2007, Barry Gibb was ranked by Q magazine at No. 38 on its list of '100 Greatest Singers'. Barry Gibb is also a member of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. In 2023, Barry Gibb was named as a Kennedy Center Honoree for contributions to American culture & for being a "Pop music pioneer". The Bee Gees have sold over 220 million records worldwide placing them among the best-selling music artists of all time.
