This group has such a distinct vocal and instrumental sound. Their Beatles tribute Sowing the Seeds of Love is epic!
This is one of my favorite songs ever, and TFF stand out from many other Brit-pop, New Wave, post-Beatles bands in that their music has more intimacy and soul than many of their peers. I really believe everything they say.
Sowing the Seeds of Love.

He did that one , That's the first one he is talking about its up here
This group rivals Steely Dan with their production. Check out Woman in Chains, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Shout, Elemental, Break it Down Again, Raoul and the Kings of Spain, The Working Hour, I can go on and on...
It's cool you reacted to the album version with the proper ending
Another MUST from them is "Woman in Chains" featuring Oleta Adams, along with "Sowing the Seeds of Love."
"Everybody Wants To Rule The World"
Yes, it’s a synth 😊
The "boerzzzzzzzhhhh" sound is an effect from a phase shifter or a flanger but I think phaser.
Saw these guys live back in the 80s because my then BF thought they were amazing. I knew a total of 2 songs that were on the radio constantly and didn't expect much. They totally blew me away. Super talented musicians and songwriters. Boy does this actually sound great all those years later.

Great comment!
Why can’t I find friends like this guy? I could hang out with you for hours and never stop laughing.
This is 84/85. This whole album is incredible. It’s in my all time Top 10 and if you really want a treat, put on your headphones and listen to the whole album from start to finish. Your mind will 🤯 then look up the fairlight.
I love Tears For Fears and this song is one of their greatest. It’s actually my personal favorite from them. The solo you heard in the middle was a synthesizer with distortion added so it does sound a bit like a guitar. The drum effect you heard was Flange which sweeps the equalization spectrum from low to high and back over and over at varying speed to give that airy whoosh sound.

This was made in the 80tys yes its a 80tys Sound Tears for Fears have a Awesome Collection You have to Listen to
One of my favorite songs from the 80s!! Check out their song Shout also
I grew up in the same grades at school with Matt and Mimi Moog. At the time i had no idea of the influence of their FatherRobert Moog would have on my musical life. His MOOG synthesizer shaped the 80's and beyond.
This is my favorite TEARS FOR FEARS song! Yes this is from the 80's !
Certain Songs songs that came out in The 80s, as a teen ager, just jumped outta the radio. Remember other than radio , or what you could buy at record store was the only way we got music. MTV was revolutionary as we could hear songs and see an interpretation of sing via video, for better or worse. TEARS FOR FEARS , BUSTED THROUGH THE AIR WAVES
Now you know 1980s------ man this song hits my chest hard makes me miss my teen years 53 now !
The ending harmonies sound like the Turtles influenced them.
Their album The Hurting is amazing. I love their song “Memories Fade” Kanye used the song for “Coldest Winter” which surprises a lot of people.
Great reaction Ace😅 loved it 😄☮️
80's music was all about the vibes. That's why it was such a unique and nostalgic era.
Tears for Fears- Raoul and the Kings of Spain, The Working Hour, Sowing the Seeds of Love, Goodnight Song.
"Everybody Wants to Rule the World" is likely their biggest hit, and I’ve always loved their lesser known single, "Advice for the Young at Heart." You can’t go wrong with Tears for Fears. (They make me feel good, too :-)
You are a Kool Kat, love your reactions so much fun
GREAT REACTION FAM. YEA THIS ONE PUTS YOU IN A GOOD MOOD 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾✊🏾
If you like this era of music try the band Simple Minds "Alive and Kicking" and "Don't You Forget About Me".
