Other great songs by him are; "Endless Summer nights", "Hold on to the Nights". He was also a great song writer. You recently reacted to "This I promise you" by Nsync. Richard Marx wrote that.

Don’t forget Dance with my Father by Luther Vandross. Richard Marx wrote that song too.
Should've Known Better is a great 80s pop/rock song from him (his original, not his remake). But Hazard was #1 in Australia for about 8 weeks and tells a great story of a murder. Early 90s
“Satisfied “ is the Richard Marx song you after as an up tempo full band number
Richard Marx is amazingly talented - singer, songwriter & performer. His live shows are like listening to his cd’s. MANY hits. His 1st hits were “Don’t Mean Nothing” & “Endless Summer Nights” He’s written songs for the likes of *NSYNC, Barbra Streisand, Luther Vandross & Keith Urban
Richard Marx is one of my favorite singers. He has many hits, including songs he wrote for other artists. He wrote or co-wrote some hit songs that Keith Urban had. If you want a rockin song of his, try “Satisfied.” At the time, he was married to Cynthia Rhodes, who is an actress, dancer, and singer. They were married for a long time, but divorced in 2014. He is remarried. He’s still singing, having released an album in 2020.
Hazard for sure is a must to listen to.
Endless Summer Nights is my fav. FYI he wrote This I Promise You for Nsync
Richard is an incredible singer songwriter from Chicago ❤️ Now and Forever is amazing. ""Limitless " his 2020 album is wonderful . Another one Down, Front Row Seat, Love Affair that lasts Forever. He is still writing great songs after all these years ❤️
I absolutely love Richard Marx his songs will always stand the test of time I can play the intro of right here waiting on keyboard which I figured out for myself and on guitar as well such a beautiful song Richard Marx has many hit songs
He has quite a few hits. Check out Hazard, Should've Known Better, Satisfied, Hold On To the Nights; there are too many to name, but all of them are great!
I have been a huge Richard Marx fan since his first album. Of that 80s-90s time period I would recommend Don't Mean Nothing, Should've Known Better, and Now and Forever. He's written so so so many songs for other people as well. Vixen's Edge of a Broken Heart is a personal favorite.
Love Richard Marx he has so many great hits you should definitely react to more from him!
Hazard, Endless summer night, Angelia and Hold on to the night💯💯🔥🔥

There awesome songs hes one of my fav singers love to see him live
Anton.....this is the best song ever written....REMEMBER ANTON: The 70, 80, & 90's those are the music that TOLD A STORY about life and love in general. I know more music than anybody...cause i have 100,000 songs cause i was born during the 60's and I have every "genre" I will support your PATREON..I would like to make a best compliment on the your show...these sings that you said about life in general...you really spoke to me and nobody has ever done that during the espisode: FIRST TIME Hearing James Morrison - "I Won't Let You Go. I want to thank you man, your for real. I already support 2 DJ right now and I'm work in medical and and I'm a DJ on the weekend and I own my own company. So, if you can reach out to me I can give you my "playlist" of everything so hit me up bud!
Hold On to the Night is my favorite of his. He had many hits.
Amazingly I do know this song, but couldn't remember the name of Richard Marx! Fabulous singer/guitarist/pianist etc. He has sold over 30 million records worldwide! Just incredible..💝💝
His albums are generally mostly rock but the ballads tend to be the bigger hits. Try Satisfied or Too late to say goodbye for something rockier from the 80s. He's still recording and touring. Try Hazard for something different, or Keep coming back.
My favorites are this one, Angelia and Should been know better❤️
Well he has a lot of hits I let you here the ones I love - Angelia - Hazard - Surrender to me - Should've known better - Now and forever
This song made me fall in love with Richard Marx. I'm sure many other women felt the same, lol!
The only other (great) song I remember by Richard Marx is "Hazard"... He has a fantastic voice and just seemed to disappear.

“Hazard” is a masterpiece!
1989 I believe. So just 80s. Remember it being in the UK charts for ages! Hazard was decent too. Now and forever is probably my fave though. Didn't know he was married to Cynthia Rhodes who was Penny in dirty dancing!
Richard Marx is so SMOOTH, authentic, and a natural singer. Check out his song Endless Summer Nights.
So happy you include Richard Marx on your channel 🤗💕I absolutely love your reactions. Richard is anything but a one hit wonder. He's still active, actually on tour right now and worked with numerous great artists like Luther Vandross who he was friends with, Billy Joel, Nsync, Toni Braxton.... List goes on & on. Other great songs except for those of the 80s - silent scream, whatever we started, another one down, when you're gone, the way she loves me, now & forever, at the beginning, hazard. Thank you for everything you're doing, stay safe and healthy. Love you 💋
I loved this and Hazard. One of these artists that should have been more successful; albeit he was for a while but not enough. Thanks Anton.
This has been one of my favourite songs since I was about 13, which by the way was like 25 years ago or something. My teenage self used to get goosebumps and cry hearing this 🤣🤣 Such an amazing, underrated song ❤
This is a song about his wife who plays penny in dirty dancing 💃 and I’d recommend because you loved me by Celine Dion
I'll always remember this song because my cousin had the lyrics to this song hand written in her notebook. That's how much she loved the song. We were just kids but the song is so great.
Love him so much. You should definately react to his song Now and Forever.

GREAT song
Right Here Waiting was literally the only slow-paced song on that particular album (Repeat Offender). He has no other, to my knowledge. He also has a duet with Donna Lewis for the animated film Anastasia. That's worth checking out.
One of his biggest hits of his career, it spent three weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart in 1989, finishing as the 11th biggest song of that year. At the time, he was married to Cynthia Rhodes, who was the female lead dancer from "Dirty Dancing" and this song was written for her as she was making a film in South Africa at that time. They have since divorced, he is now married to Daisy Fuentes
I don't know why but in the 70's 80's and 90's there were so many amazing artists with amazing voices and today there's nothing except artists like Adele and lady Gaga
When the auto tune doesn’t exist. The best music in 80’s, 90’s
He had a string of hits in the 80's all of them were great
This song is amazing. I've always loved it.
There are a bunch of great songs listed in the comments already, so I’m going to tell you one of my favourites that is not well known. It’s a collaboration with Fee Waybill, and shows a different side of him. It’s called “Remember Manhattan.” His wife’s name was Cynthia Rhodes. She was in his “Don’t Mean Nothing” video, and played Penny in the movie “Dirty Dancing.” She is a trained dancer. They’ve since divorced, and he’s now married to Daisy Fuentes. He’s written tons of hit songs for other artists.
He had a beautiful voice
He had a lot of hits back in the late 80's.

thank you
Anton, im sooooo happy that you made this review. Richard marx is one of the most important artist of the 80´90. His songs are so deep and profound, it what makes the 80s so amazing❤️❤️❤️
I cry every time I hear it... very, very beautiful and very emotional. I love “Satisfied” by Richard Marx, very different from this, and very catchy.
Omg!!! One of the greatest songwriters of the 80s 90s and 2000s!!!! Amazing singer and musician & he has soooo many great hits and music videos!!
Richard marx is basically the KING of sappy 80s soft rock love songs, but I mean this in THE BEST WAY possible. You're right about his voice, of course, it is a magnificently distinctive powerhouse. Angelia is his very best, I think, and a FANTASTIC example of him letting rip a bit more, but there's also Children of the Night, Hazard, Hold Onto the Nights, Over My Head and Should've Known Better. He also did a PHENOMENAL cover of the Rolling Stones' Wild Horses.
richard marx - hazard
He is one of my favorites. I actually saw him in concert last year. He was still amazing after 37 years! His first album came out in 88’ this song is about his first wife. He tells a story about it. “Hazard” is amazing! “Now and Forever” “ Endless Summer Nights” So many. He actually does Dance with my father because he wrote it.His wife was in Dirty Dancing ( the blonde that was pregnant) which is who the song was written about now he’s married to Daisy Fentez
One of my most favourite songs of all time.
😍 love love love his voice so much
So had a crush on him back in the day 😍 and jealous of his hair 🙄😄
Ready To Fly is one of my absolute favourites, plus One Man, Eternity, Satisfied (ok, basically every song) Still writing, recording & releasing music
🙂❤ Sweet reaction. I was in high school when this song came out in June of 1989. So beautiful and simple. And very different from all the over the top '80s songs that were out there. Felt like this song was everywhere in 1989.
Others have mentioned his other great songs so I'll say something a bit different lol. Others have said Richard writes for others. He co-wrote Dance With My Father with Luther Vandross.
You’re right- his voice reminds little bit of Bryan Adams’ voice. As a huge Bryan’s fan, I’ve always liked this and some other Richard Marx’s songs.
Richard Marx married Cynthia Rhodes famous for her role as Johnny Castle's dance partner Penny in The movie Dirty Dancing! She starred opposite Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey who played Johnny and Baby!
I haven't listened to Richard Marx in forever, but thank you for reminding me about how much I love his music! Hazard is definitely my favorite by him.
He is still around today. Does his own albums and writes/produces for many artists. This song he wrote for his wife at the time he was touring and barely got to see here. Was a love letter to her. He however didn't want to publish it. But she told him he would be crazy if he did not. So he did on his next album; Repeat Offender. It became his signature song.
Hazard by Richard Marx is hauntingly beautiful. It's magical. U should give it a listen. Much love Anton
Beautiful song!!! Another one for you to check out is "All for Love" by Sting, Bryan Adams and Rod Stewart.
He had soooo many hits!!! Like 4 #1 songs and like 14 top 10 hits in America!!!
Man that's bring back memory the first time for me visiting the states (US) in 1989 while we were driving in LA high way heading to the Universal Studios and the road was so incredible and the air was so fantastic at that time
Richard Marx was huge back in 1988 - 1989. Loved the guy. You got to listen to Angelia and Satisfied.
Now and forever
He has always been one of my favorite artists, and so underrated!😟😩
"Hazard" was amazing as well
One hit wonder? I'm shocked and appalled for you. Lol. Richard Marx is one of the most prolific singer/song writer/composers of the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. He has released 12 studio albums, been nominated for 22 Grammy and Billboard awards and won a Grammy in 2004. He is still performing and writing songs today. Not just for himself but for so many other artists. For instance the song THIS I PROMISE YOU by N'Sync that you did on your channel...written by Richard Marx...SUDDENLY by Toni Braxton...Richard Marx...TO WHERE YOU ARE by Josh Groban...that's right...written by Richard Marx. He has written for so many artists. Richard Marx dominated pop radio during the late Eighties and early Nineties, sending his first seven singles including this song, the pinnacle of all love ballads, "Right Here Waiting”, to the Top 5 of the Billboard charts...the only male artist in history to have EVER done that. Years before he released his debut album, though, paid the bills as a songwriter for stars like Kenny Rogers, who took two of Marx’s songs to Number One in 1984. He was only 19 years old at the time. Between 87 and 94 he had 14 top 20 hits and 3 number ones and he's sold 30 million albums worldwide. And he's written 14 number one songs for himself and others over 4 decades. He holds a special place in my heart since me and my wife's song was this song, it was the first song we ever danced to, and we had our first kiss during a Richard Marx concert....so of course this was also our wedding song. Plus his music just epitomized the 80's for me. So...ONE HIT WONDER?....FOR SHAME ANTON!!! Definitely do more of his stuff. I put him and Hanson in the same category...genius musicians that don't get enough credit.
This was the very first song I remember listening to as it was released the year I was born (1989). It was a hit and was also one of my mom’s favorite songs.
Hello, I'm Raven and I'm relatively new here to your channel. I like your appreciation for good vocals and sounds!
He still releases on occasion to this day
Ah...I bought this song on 7" when I was 13! Was a big hit here in the UK. I love his voice. 'Angelia', 'Hold On To The Nights' , 'Chains Around My Heart', 'Should've Known Better'. Some great songs to discover 🙂👍
By the way, He sing "hold on the lights" is a big hit for him as well
Richard was on tour in 2021 and just celebrated his 77 th birthday this May. Still writing music and singing. No "mullet" anymore but beautiful white hair.
Also Chaka Khan, "Through the Fire." She was the original, "I'm Every Woman." Actually Whitney sang backup on it. Either one is impressive. Chaka was Whitney before there was Whitney. Actually anything she does is amazing.
One of my favorite artists of the 80's.
This is one of the all time biggest ballads. I consider it top 10. Just a amazing song.
I love this song 😍😍😍 it holds so many memories for me 💞
Uff hermoso! Roquero renegado! músico extraordinario , artista integral ! Amo su música
This went to #1 for 4 straight weeks in Fall 1989 and sold over 1,000,000 copies in theUSA
My senior prom theme in 99 was his song “Now & Forever”.
Great pick, Marx had a bunch of gorgeous songs. Terrific vocalist. His song "HAZARD" is exceptional (as is the official video), but my favorite would have to be "ENDLESS SUMMER NIGHTS" kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y4Kq1a-Eicqpo7A.html . The first time I saw the video for it I did a double-take on the female actress in it. She's a dead ringer for a lady I almost married back in the mid-80s. Like the song and video, she was pretty special, too. If you ever check it out, Anton, pay attention to what's going on with the saxophone and bass. Beautiful stuff. The music is so rich that it's easy to lose focus on the lyrics, but try not to because the lyrics are amazing.
Check out Richard Marx "Children of the Night" official video. It's an important and still relevant song. Other songs are "Should've Known Better", "Hold on to the Nights", "Don’t Mean Nothing”, “Endless Summer Nights". Richard Marx was married to Cynthia Rhodes. She's an actress and was in "Dirty Dancing" with Patrick Swayze (1987). Actually, Cynthia and Patrick were both in Toto's "Rosanna" video (1982). Richard and Cynthia are no longer married (Divorced in 2014 after 24 years together). He's now married to Daisy Fuentes (m. 2015). Daisy was a tv personality.
"Hazard" is a great song. It's so haunting.
My suggestion would be Anita Baker, pretty much anything, but especially "Sweet Love." It's epic!
Richard is just now starting to tour again. Yeah!
Check out his song Hazard great song great video like a who done it!
This is my favourite of his!
You really need to hear the song "Hazard" by him. It is a very unique song by him.
Try "Keep coming back" from Richard Marx
Hazard!! Thats the track to check out. Now & Forever is great too, massive hits.
I heard Richard say he wrote this song for Barbra Streisand. He sent her the tape and she called back and said she loved the melody, but would need to change the lyrics. He asked why and she said "because I'm not going to be right here waiting on anybody."
His first wife ,Cynthia Rhodes, is a retired American actress, singer and dancer.
how beautiful are you.Love this song ❤
Love Richard…take a listen to Ready To Fly..helped me through a tough season in my life
“Endless summer nights”, “Satisfied”, Hold-on to the Night”
I can play this on piano! And sing.. Well not sing. I can sound awfull trying to sing this 😁 Richard Marx is older now but still a great singer
He was married for many years to the dancer actress who played the girl in Dirty Dancing who was blonde and got pregnant.
Yeah I’m an 80’s child and this song was always one of my favorites. Me being a hopeless romantic probably had something to do with it. Haha 😂
It's nice that you like this song, but you know it even better with this background. Thanks.
Timeless classic.
This song was released in mid-1989. So, late 80's.
I only recently found your channel and I just love your viewpoint on the songs you react to. Another great singer in the era is Kenny Loggins. I’d recommend Meet Me Halfway. It won’t disappoint
Richard Marx never known him to be asked if he is a 1 hit wonder lol I have no idea how you don't know of him either to be honest-thought you were joking when you said that. When you reacted to NSync-This I Promise You-Richard Marx wrote it for them. I mean the guy has been mentioned in soooo many TV documentaries and interviews in Canada when been there many times as well as US when went there And has had sooo many hit singles/albums there, along with rets of the world......One of my favs is "Should've Known Better" and was also a hit single in Canada and his debut album it came off of: Richard Marx in June of 1987 Another known thing which has been mentioned/shown many times over the years when Richard Marx being a backing vocalist for people like Lional Richie, Chicago, Whitney Houston, Madonna etc and one of my favs doing his backing vocals was for hit song Running With the Night-Lionel Richie off his hit album: Can't Slow Down!
keep coming back is full band its r and b he has music every couple years just released new album in oct of 22 he has over a doen albums not counting all the songs hes written and produced for other people bunch of big stars he produces his own music and for others since the early 80s he was seventeen when he started
