Check out her BETTER DAYS (Diane Reeves), FLY ME TO THE MOON, OFFICIALLY MISSING YOU (Tamia), THROUGH THE FIRE, etc. This band was broke & hungry from the lockdowns 3 yrs ago (they were a wedding band b4). They decided to do livestreams from a garage 3x a week for 2-3 hours, taking in song requests from their small number of viewers. Fast forward 3 yrs, they now have over 2 million subs & a new studio. The boys are very talented too & they can all sing, esp Oyus, the one who is singing in this song. They are here in the US now doing their US tour.

Gigi vibes is HER band :) they are always fantastic, the dude singing is magic, first time i heard him sing. She is possibly the most versatile of all PH singers, and Gigi and Gigi vibes catalogue is huge.

@@nbx2au Yes its him. If you go to Divina Ko channel, go to Playlists, there's an Oyus Playlist. They uploaded a dozen songs from a 2.5 hour livestream that he & Jon did when the band was resting after the accident. It's mostly alternative rock, grunge type of songs. It was such a jam, impromptu, no rehearsals, taking song requests from the viewers.

Yes I do think she did this stylistically, the slow build up from verse to verse, getting more intense each time. That's how she delivers it when she sings songs. Thats what I like about Gigi, she does things her way. She's not trying to rap like everyone else. A reactor described it as "singing rap". It's not the usual hard-hitting punch, altho she did intensify on the 3rd verse. When Eminem came out with this song, everyone related to the song, including me. But when Gigi came out with this version, it hit me harder bc it's coming from a female point of view. There's a femininity & vulnerability that u don't usually hear from rappers. When I 1st heard this, it was just ok, but it grew on me, and now I can't stop listening to it. Replay button RIP haha!

But then there was another reactor explaining things he was looking for. And I somehow understand. You don't cover rap. Because of this, I have a better appreciation of rap. Gigi is arguably considered Cover Queen, and Gigi Vibes is an excellent band. Their genre includes pop, rock, and alternative music. Making Gigi branch out as a legit rap group may be a tough challenge, but they are still young and growing. Many were hooked when rap music hit the Philippines, leading to legitimate local rap artists. This includes Francis M, Glock 9, OC Dawgs, etc.

Wayyyy to go crushing our girl Gigi. Do yourself a favor and stop reacting to her and her band. I don't think you liked any of her covers so far so save everyone's time and don't react to her anymore. All you do is just compare her vs other great artists who are incredibly awesome in their own rights. Why not just take the performance as it is, artists like them revive and putting their own flavor on those great songs they choose to perform. Good luck growing your channel man.
