Cry your heart out baby! That's what music is supposed to do. By the way, the vest that Freddie was wearing in "Those were the Days of our Lives " was actually made by a fan for him. He was a great cat lover and had several.

I feel for you. Poor Freddie unfortunately got it in a time where it was literally a death sentence. I wish he could have just been given a chance to have had the medication. But you know everyone said Freddie never complained once about his pain. Or that he was going to die. He continued making music until he literally couldn't anymore...I wish he was still here.

I cry every time I watch the last few footage of Freddie. They had given him padding and insulated long Johns to wear under his clothes because he had zero body fat left and even under the hot lights the poor guy was freezing cold. It’s just amazing he worked until the very end. The last song he sang for goodness sake- Brian had to do the last verse. Freddie had passed away before he came back to the studio to finish it. Mother Love is the name of the last song he sang and OMG he hit some notes in the middle of it that would break glass!! You cry all you want and no need to apologize for it. I’ve followed them since 1974 and after all these years it still tears me up.

Loved your reaction. I could say so much right now, but I can't get it out. I just Loved it so much, I really feel with you. 9:48 yes exactly. And yes he was 45. 13:08 completely True. And I want to mention the High note at 5:18 is the most legendary high note Freddie ever hit. Yes it isn't that high so it is somewhat of a low high note. But that doesn't matter. It is the power and braveness and JUST EVERYTHING that this D5 note had in it. Nobody can sing that part like Freddie and no one ever will. It is too legendary. The Lyrics to the Show Must Go On were written by Brian but in the situation that Freddie was in. Freddie could barely stand to do the Recording but he drank Vodka and said '' I'll fucking do it darling'' THAT MAN OMG😭😭💖 His Voice in the show must go on is the most powerful EVER. LIKE DAMN. Anyways I'll stop with the info's here. Hope you are having a great day :)

I'm sorry you have HIV, but I'm happy you live in a time where you can take medicine and live with it ❤❤❤ The Show Must Go On is my favorite Queen song. Brian wrote it about what Freddie was going through. So the second video kinda fits, because both songs were made near the end of his life. They weren't sure wether he would be able to sing TSMGO but Freddie said "I'll fucking do it darling" and downed some vodka and then just killed it. Amazing ❤

Yes this one always makes us cry. 💔 It’s an interesting contrast between the 2 songs. Roger’s original inspiration was his family, but many Queen songs were lifted to another level as Freddie always seemed to deliver the lyrics with such passion & make them his own Brian on the other hand seemed to understand that Freddie needed the lyrics in the show must go on. In another interview he remarked how the song helped them to deal with what was happening to them. Appreciate your own personal comments as well & the medicines available today truly are life savers. ❤️❤️

Thanks, Jaybee - I know how hard this is to see/hear -- I miss Freddie a lot - was privileged to meet him once as a teenager - he was amazingly sweet, and the rest of the band were also gentlemen and kind to a couple of awkward kids -- I'll never forget it -- probably you've seen Brian's tribute video - "No one but you (only the good...)" - kzread.info/dash/bejne/oYB_28OIfMWYdtY.html - yeah - we all have to cry sometimes...

I cried for joy that we were blessed to have him in our world and we were allowed to hear his angelic voice. We got to see his free spirit and professionalism and quirkiness. But I also cried because of everything we didn’t get to experience. All of the songs we would’ve heard. All the videos we could’ve seen. Ugh. Flood of emotions. It’s nice to see others appreciate him like that. Keep up the good work!

Oh Friend....what can I say about this reaction? Let me start with The Show Must Go On....the joy on your face when you were watching it and the animation you showed while watching it.....let’s just say, I feel JUST like you were feeling when you watched it for the first time. The joy, the happiness, the emotionality, and the sadness gets me like that too. I just want to sing, praise and cry for how amazing Freddie was. The Show Must Go On was never performed live because obviously Freddie was too ill to perform for an audience, but how incredibly amazing was his voice still? Sometimes I believe his voice was every bit as powerful when he was ill as it was before that horrible disease ravaged his poor body, if not even more powerful. The phrase, “My soul is painted like wings on butterflies, fairytales of yesterday were broke but never die...” is my favorite part, but it is also when the tears and sobbing begin. I could see how much you felt this song in your soul and I understand it all too well. Then, when you were trying to decide whether or not to watch the Days of Our Lives part, all I could think was, “NOOOOO! He’s gonna lose it.” You are so brave dealing with your illness and it has to be so hard to watch because I believe you when you say you feel like you have a connection to Freddie, and that’s how I feel too and it’s so hard for me to watch it and I’m not in the position that you are in. Even though it was hard to watch, I’m so glad you did, because being a fan and a lover of Freddie and Queen, I think it is so important to see just how strong, courageous and determined he was to continue making music and songs for us right up until the very end of his life. Brian has said in interviews that when Freddie told them about his illness, that he told them he didn’t want to be fussed over and that he wanted to keep making music til the day he died. He said, “Keep writing me stuff and I’ll continue to sing until I can’t anymore” and that’s exactly what he did. I think that Brian, Roger and John really closed ranks around Freddie and we’re determined to do whatever it took to keep him going and to support him throughout the rest of his life and I think it shows the true love and brotherhood they had for each other. They could have all just walked away and continued on with their lives or done something without Freddie, but instead, they lifted him up by continuing to treat him like they always did and kept his illness a secret from the POS reporters and Paparazzi that hounded him mercilessly until he died, to the point of him being almost a prisoner in his own home. Freddie truly is a Legend and we were all so blessed that God loaned him to us for a little while. Heaven must sound so much sweeter with him singing there now. I love your Queen reactions and I hope you continue on your journey with them. It’s definitely a wild rollercoaster of a ride that you will never want to get off of. You are such a true spirit and have such a big heart. I know you have to be such a great friend and have to be so much fun to be around. I would love to hang out with you because you definitely keep it real and are so honest in your reactions and your words and advice. I wish I could give you a huge hug friend. Stay safe and take care of yourself and you’re right, life is too short. I’m glad you’re taking care of you and doing things that matter to you and make you happy. In the end, it’s what you show people that matters, and you show a lot of love and positive energy. On another note...if you want to hear the insanity of Freddie’s vocal ability and his high notes, you should definitely check out Rock in Rio Blues. You won’t believe that a human can make his voice sound that way. It’s just Freddie riffing and playing around and the music is fun with a Bluesy feel to it. The crowd in Rio was over 200,000 people 2 nights in a row. That compared to Live Aid’s crowd which was 80,000 will blow you away. Enjoy Luv♥️♥️♥️

That reaction did justice to the sheer power and emotion that Queen (and especially Freddie) brought to those songs. Wow!! I would be interested to see your reaction to a "Queen with Adam Lambert" track. (I have tickets for QAL for June 2021 at the O2 London) There was a comment (I think from Brian May) that "We called ourselves 'Queen' and still they didn't get it". And as others have said.. take care of yourself Jaybee.

Have you listened to Mother Love..when Freddie's life was coming to end soon, Freddie's asked Brian to write songs for him. He wrote Mother Love ❤ Freddie recorded two thirds and was feeling to sick to finish. Brian finished it after Freddie passed away. Stay away from the space ship video..go with the statue in Switzerland of Freddie. That was the last song Freddie ever recorded. The rest of the band recorded. Nobody but You (Only the good die young) Roger Taylor went on to write Old Friends a tribute to Freddie. Check them out.

Oh, don't you apologize for crying! Few people have the courage to expose their hearts like that. I think what happened to Freddie was the beginning of the doors of compassion opening toward those with this horrid disease. I was around back then, when this diagnosis was worse in many ways than having cancer. Too many were afraid to go near those who had it, foolishly thinking a hug or even being in the same room would transfer it. I can't tell you how many times I got yelled at for being as close with my friends who had it as I had ever been (maybe more so, because I knew I wouldn't have them around to love for a lot longer). Well, thank goodness there are medications available now to give those who have it a chance for a long, normal life. Several of my friends now are HIV positive, but at least I know they having a fighting chance. They've been faithful with their meds and are getting the rest and they need, together with large doses of laughter which, they tell me, is so important to their continued health. Anyway, I am so grateful for you, for your life, and for the beautiful way you share these moments with us. Thank you, sweetie - big hugs!

Thank you for being so truly authentic, YOU move me! Yes, the media just hounded him, it was honestly a sad thing. You know the question, who would you bring back for 24 hours? Freddie Mercury is my answer. So he can see you and know how his music is still reaching people and to see his band mates today. You hang in there sweet, we get it, we really get it! Much love! ❤️ how about One Vision Documentary, react to that and then One Vision Live, react to that. Freddie laughs towards the end of the documentary and that just brings so much joy. You will feel good! ❤️

It truly is horrible we lost Freddie to this awful desease but we also have to remember that apart from bringing immense joy to the world through his music, Freddie had an even bigger mission: When he died the musical world stopped. TSMGO was basically the only song aired for months, if not, for what I remember, a couple of years. After his passing the research against AIDS took an unprecedented pace and finally, about one year later, the cocktail was available. It wasn't perfect then but people started to have a chance of survival to what was a sure death sentence then. Just after his death, Princess Diana joined the cause, then Elton John and millions upon millions were raised. People were scared but I remember it all really started at the time of his passing. Up to this date, Freddie continues to bring awareness through The Mercury Phoenix Trust and his legacy as a one of a kind artist and human being. We are so grateful you existed and exists Freddie, we don't deserve you but we love you. RIP my friend ♥️ Thank you for the video, I'm happy you are doing well

I always cry when I hear this song. I was almost 10 when Freddie passed and I still remember the headlines and that we cried. At the time my father was dying of cancer so a singer we adored passing too soon also made our dad’s imminent demise very real to us too. My dad was a prominent infectious disease dr in my country so he spent the last years of his life treating (or trying to treat) patients with HIV and AIDS. This song always makes me think of them both.

I cried along with you. You should react to Who Wants to Live Forever from Wembley 1986. It is written by Brian for a movie soundtrack but like Days Of Our Lives, it takes on a new meaning when we listen to it now. Adam Lambert also does a beautiful version of this with Queen at the Isle of Wight Festival. The other members of Queen would never judge Freddie and he never judged them. They would only fight about the songs. Lol. When Freddie died they started a charity called the Mercury Phoenix Trust to bring awareness to Aids. 👑

Nothing on this planet has ever made me cry like this song has, every single time. He was so desperate, and at the same time felt he needed to keep what was happening to him out of the public eye. He spent much of his woken time the last days and weeks to constantly make sure that he died truly loved by the people he loved, but also needed the same from those who listened to his songs. In Freddys case I think a big reason for making these wonderful songs he made, really was that it made it possible for him to form pretty intimate connections with people and let everybody who truly listened know who he was below it all. Not in detail, but certainly on a more basic human level. All of that bottled up desperation, fear, sadness and loneliness from not being in contact with his fans on stage or by working on new material on the level that he needed to do. And not even being able to even share with fans what he went through like he usually had been able to do with other things, by sharing what he felt but not why. Even that he lost access to because of AIDS. And that he did as he went full speed into the worst and most fragile time in his life, his last year alive. All of that you started to realise after his death as it then became clear that it was all poured out of him and into this song. I heard it many times before I he was dead and didn't realize. Not until later. This was a song written in tears and then infused with naked raw desperation - and pure love - as the song was tranfered from paper through Queen and onto a master. And he must have realized that after this song he was stepping down forever from the heights that he wanted to occupy. He kept on mopping up what he could though as long as possible, stuff he felt he could still do justice during decent days until it was a fight to even be awake and in anyway functional for more than usually short periods at a time... He was not a very economic singer on top of it all. He used everything he was as a living being during every moment he had a microphone in front of him it seems. Hearing those who knew him really well talk about him freely since, shows pretty clearly what his true ambition in life and through his carreer really was. It was not money. Not sex, but even sex in a way was a tool to him for a big part of his life - in the same way as microphones and writing songs was. He measured his worth in the amount of love he could generate for himself. Not in a egotistical way like ""Love me I deserve it because I am a genius!"" that is Kanye.... With Freddy though, it grew out of fear of growing old , sliding into obscurity and wither alone. And no amount of success in life could make him stop feeling like he needed to constantly earn that to not loose it all. Im not saying he was a child mentally but he seems to have been AFFECTED by that exact fear much in the same way as fear of the dark or real fear of being abandoned can hit a kid. I did not know him of course, nor can I swear by what I have written above. But Taken everything he was into account... how he wrotye lyrics, how he then performed those songs, and produced them. All these glimpses when he left his guard low and suddenly answered a question or two in an interview with total naked truth, often a few seconds later laughing what he said off as a joke point in that direction. Then on top of that his husband (as he saw Jim) as well as many of the ones around him during his life and later death - together all paint a picture of him that leads nowhere else than to what I have written here. As I see it: Talent gave him his potential but fear and love in combination with a desperate need to let people see his emotions even if he had to hide the reasons for them - realized that potential and made him immortal. And his music divine. Both of that makes new people fall in love with him every day now and probably for generations ahead. Why? Because he left those who really listened to him no possible way to defend themselves against a strong impact. What he and Queen released was so refined yet so raw. There is no way to go except in the direction you are herded in a sence. First you react to the surprising quality and playfullness of what you hear. It makes any song by them stick out from whatever background noise is present in you or around you. And then he, they, directly and without mercy used that attention as a pipeline to start transfering strong emotions straight into peoples souls. After that you you need to be a psychopath to wriggle loose. THAT was Freddy Mercury's true genius as I see it. (sorry for mega text but it made me pretty emotional to just see how alive Freddy is in his music, when new people listen to him for the first time in front of a camera like this)
