The 70’s and 80’s were products of the 50’s and 60’s standards . You had to have great talents as a singer and performer, you had to be able sing in the studio, sing with a band live, sing on tv to either a live band or a tv track, or even accapella . You had to be professional, and look good doing it. Phyllis Hyman had all that in spades! And even when she was going through things in her rough life, unfortunately, when she sang she always gave it her all. Not gonna focus on the things she went thru , just to say that we are missing one of the greatest vocal stylists to pick up a microphone 🎤. We love you Phyliss! 🙏🏾🙏🏾💐💐

Let me add that she does a beautiful duet with Michael Henderson titled "Can't We Fall In Love Again". By the way you should react to some of Michael Henderson's music. Yes!
She got hurt for real
That hurt and confusion was real. IMO, it might have been why she ended her life.

Phyllis was vocal beast. All the emotion you hear I think came from her depression that eventually led to get suicide
She was really alone and depressed she committed suicide
