Any live performance of OOR is amazing and you can't pick wrong :D Enjoy your journey with them, they'll make it worth it! Since you're a drummer, their drummer has his own youtube channel where he plays some of their songs and break them down, Tomoya Studios, maybe it's something to look into as well :)

someone new geting into my fav band, love that! They’ve been doing this for almost 19 years, so ther is a lot to choose from, but I would recomend: - kanzen kankaku dreamer’ as one of their most popular, and older - ‚take me to the top’ together with intro or one of their instrumental breaks in concert, bc I feel you gonna like it (just type ‚oor instrumental’) - either ‚takin off - tomoya drum version’ or anything from Tomoya Studio, the drummer’s own yt channel, if you wanna see the drummer up close :) - ‚Neon’ for something new (altho this was new too, and a very good start xd) - ‚werever you are’ or ‚good goodbye’ for a ballad, and to see other side of Taka (a voice of an angel) - ‚take what you want’ - all of them I mean live - it has everything, at this point it’s required xd - there is so much more but can’t choose - ‚flip a coin’, a documentary on netflix if you wanna see them behind the scene, if you get hooked on the band xD

@@setonhillstudios yeah, they definitely did. Some fans don't like their recent stuff that much because it's leaning more towards pop rock and they had heavier songs beforehand. Make it out Alive is actually a return to their more heavier sound. Cry out, Deeper Deeper and Take me to the top are usually recommended for the heavier sound, as well as the live rendition of Mighty Long Fall. Personally I like their more pop-rock songs for their more uplifting and mature lyrics. Wasted Nights, Change, Eye of The Storm, for example. From older songs, the Luxury Disease tour version of Clock Strikes is amazing. -- I second that the netflix docu needs to be seen. It's about the stadium concert they did during covid without audience, it was live streamed from an empty stadium. So much work went into that, Taka was even insisting they change the whole sound profile of the concert so that anyone on whatever device they had could enjoy the same sound. They really wanted to help people during lockdown. It was really nice to see how hardworking these guys are. I mean, 20 years in the business, they could just not give a flying f*ck and still earn money. :)

Great reaction! Anyof the already recommended songs in the comments are great aslong as you react to their live stuff. For me one of the best live bands around right now. They are a japanese rockband (obviously) and the members are named Taka (singer), Toru (guitarist), Ryota (bass) and Tomoya (drummer). They've been around for a while (they are in their mid 30s and most of them are married with kids) and been all over the place with their music style aswell. Rock, Punkrock, Poprock and so on. Their harder stuff is from their early album. In their latest album you can hear a lot of influence from Queen, they also produced a song together with EdSheeran and were/are close to Linkin Park. They were supposed to go on tour together but sadly Chester passed before that could happen (if you listen to "Take what you want" from 2018 there is a long pause in the song which many believe to be a tribute to Chester). Their band name originates from the time they used to practive which is one o'clock. As l and r is pronounced the same in japanese it became one o'crock and later One Ok Rock. International fans pronounce it One Ok(ay) Rock while in Japan its still pronounced like the time it originated from. Most of their songs are written by their singer Taka and are mostly in english and japanese or just english. They were on world tour last year but already have been touring around europe pre-covid but werent as recognized back then. In the last few months they seem to get more popular in the west. Fun fact: The bassist Ryota is married to the sister of Avril Lavigne and the band has a song together with Avril.

They formed in 2005 in Japan. Their can play metal to pop. I recommend Deeper Deeper in Yokohama Stadium 35xxxv Take me to the Top Mighty Long Fall in 35xxxv tour Pls note that they are best live, so we always suggest the live concert performances. 😊

This band is just pure talent. Taka is among the most versatile vocalists you'll ever come by and the rest of the guys are just so good. I'm sure you'll enjoy hearing Tomoya on drums. He is so fun to watch. He has his own channel on KZread called TOMOYA STUDIO where he drums ONE OK ROCK songs and explains the techniques behind them. No subtitles unfortunately but I think you can kinda getting a gist of it since you're a drummer. This band shines on stage so make sure to watch their live performance videos. Highly suggest "The Beginning" at Eye of the Storm Japan Tour, "Mighty Long Fall" at 35xxxv Japan Tour, "Renegades" at Luxury Disease Japan Tour, and for something on the softer side, try "Heartache" Studio Jam Session version.

Wow thanks for reacting! OneOkRock is one of my fav! They have some heavy songs and some punk-ish songs. Please always do live version, mv are great but they are so goated in live. they are amazing and all their live performances are so dang good, most of them better than the studio version. honestly all of them are good, but my favourites besides this one are: we are (official video from japan dome tour), renegades (luxury disease japan tour), clock strikes (official video from "luxury disease japan tour"), deeper deeper (mighty long fall at yokohama stadium), wasted nights (official video from eye of the storm tour), when i was king (orchestra version)
