Odd spot to start Megadeth but watching you all get your face melted in real time was priceless.

Singer/guitarist Dave Mustain was a founding member of Metallica. He was the lead guitarist before Kirk Hammett. I loved seeing the joy on Donna's face as she discovers new styles of music. I've been listening to "heavy" music almost 60 years. It keeps me young.😊

@@Gregory...... not only was he kicked out but it happened while they were in New York and he had to ride a bus back to Cali.

Dave Mustaine founder of Megadeth was also the lead guitar player for Metallica. He is still making music and touring. He also currently lives in Tennessee.

Megadeth is a great band. I saw for the first time in Argentina in 1994 when i was 20 years old at Obras Sanitarias.

Megadeth is about to start a tour this summer. You ladies should get tickets!

the drummer Jimmy Degrasso is also best known for neing the drummer of the band Suicidal Tendencies. He came in to Megadeth after the departure of the famous drummer Nick Menza who was in Megadeth in the entirerity of the band's golden year (the 90's), so he had pretty big shows to fill. I would have love to see him playing in megadeth more, but after that tour, Dave Mustaine suffered a severe injury in his left arm who got him out of music for 3 years.

That was fun! Go ladies! :D

Slayer's Kerry King (guitar) said he recalled going to an L.A. club in 1982 and saw Metallica for the first time and was blown away... He saw Dave Mustaine on lead guitar (who was an original member) shredding and playing lead solos without even looking at the frets of his guitar and was starstruck... King was still a teenager and was still not as proficient on guitar to play like that! Metallica became the band that Slayer aspired to be in the early 80's. Dave Mustaine was fired from Metallica in the spring of 1983 and he vowed to 'get back' at his former bandmates w/ a new band... Returning to L.A, Mustaine met bassist David Ellefson and the two formed Megadeth that year... (the late) drummer Gar Samuelson soon joined and they needed another guitarist. Kerry King was attempting to get Slayer going in early 1984 but was asked by Mustaine to play some shows... King immediately jumped at the opportunity to play w/ Dave Mustaine and did the first few Megadeth shows as their 2nd guitarist. Kerry King soon decided that Slayer had his loyalty... Thankfully, Gar Samuelson's friend Chris Poland saw Megadeth live and immediately asked to join on 2nd guitar and that line-up recorded the 1985 debut album by Megadeth ('Killing is my business... and business is good!') as well as the 2nd landmark album in 1986 - "Peace sells, but who's buyin'?" Because of Megadeth's drug use and volatility, Mustaine would change members often and that has carried on to this day... This concert footage was from 2001 was Mustaine w/ David Ellefson on bass, Al Pitrelli on guitar and Jimmy DeGrasso on drums... this line up only lasted from 2000 to 2002. Megadeth's most famous line-up was from 1990 to 1998 - Mustaine (vocals/ guitar), Ellefson (bass), Marty Friedman (guitar) and (the late) Nick Menza (drums).

Since you reacted to Wintersun, the lead guitarist of said band is now the current lead guitarrist for Megadeth, Teemu Mantysaari. Just saw them in Colombia, amazing even as Dave ages!

Megadeth has changed their lineup more times than we all change clothes. Lol. Dave Mustaine has been the only constant member of the band over the years. As I understand it, their current lead guitarist is the guy from Wintersun, Teemu (Mustaine plays rhythm, but also plays some of the solos). As an aside, the bassist (Jukka) and drummer (Kai) from Wintersun are with Nightwish now - but are still doing studio work for Jari/Wintersun.

My band opened for megadeth here in New Zealand in 1991 a great band for sure .

I've seen them live 5 times front row 3 of the times, second best shows I've been to behind The Warning of course. Last time I seen them this was the show opener.

I'm going to see megadeth this summer for the 4th time. I've been a fan since 1986

Oh you're really going to like Megadeth... They are a band that are just on another level to other bands.. It almost feels unfair to the other bands.. Megadeth have been going now for over 40 years.. They have very rarely put a foot wrong.. You can pretty much listen to anything they have released over 16 albums (and 1 EP) and always find something you like. Many are going to tell you to listen to songs from Rust in Peace.. Which is considered by many to be their best album.. But like I said.. You can listen to anything they have released and you'll like it.

Megadeth Holy Wars music video is a must! Also it would be cool to see you react to the newest Megadeth album. They have a song/music video titled "We'll Be Back" please react to that! As a Christian who was very big into heavy metal in my past, God has blessed a few metal bands musically for whatever reason no doubt... Top 3 musically blessed: #1 Iron Maiden - Leader (Steve Harris) has always been openly Christian. #2 Megadeth - Leader (Dave Mustaine) became Christian halfway thru his career. #3 Metallica - Leader (James Hetfield) became Christian later in his career. The drummer previously worked for Alice Cooper before signing out with Megadeth. Now if you want a drummer that will melt your brains into liquid crap, Danny Carey, from the band Tool, is considered one of the best drummers of all time. His drum cam performance of the live version of their song, "Pnuema," will leave you on life support. As for the next Megadeth jam you should check out, you can't go wrong with "Hanger 18”

I am kind of surprised none of you have heard of Megadeth. They have always been considered to be one of the BIg Four of thrash metal, along with Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax. They have many great songs to react to. But this was a rather unusual first song to react to them. Better picks: Holy Wars (The Punishment Due), Peace Sells, Sweating Bullets, Symphony of Destruction, Tornado of Souls, In My Darkest Hour, and Hanger 18 would have been much better choices!
